And another bottle with normal area, then....won't the quantity of rain water collected differ in both the bottles? how can we know the exact and correct rainfall happened in a desired time period?

i think that if the bottle has more diameter then it will be shown less mm but with lesser diameter it will be shown more mm then how van it be accurate

why this won't work? I'm sure you can say that because youve not see the video, and if you want just watch close to the end where i explain why this much water (as shown in the thumbnail) is where you start the reading from, not at the bottom of the bottle because there it is narrow..:)
The funnel is pointless and makes emptying the thing more bothersome. Also, it's too much bother to keep it partially filled with colored water, just melt some candle wax to fill the bottom and zero your ruler at the top of the wax.
