My guess is that it would be higher than 8K RPM at the wheel, as the magnets have a tendency to "slow" the cars down. Unfortunately, I don't have experience with mag cars and cannot give you a number.
This calculation could be fine, but the ratio is calculated based on the track (long or short ratio) (track with long straights or with many curves) and based on this you decide the relationship to use.

8000 is a good starting point for rear wheel RPM at our track, it should be just as good on any other track were magnets are not used.
