Many thanks to Fort Worth, Texas singer-songwriter Jacob Furr for taking the time to connect. I’ve had the pleasure of sitting in with Jacob (at his weekly Furrsdays residency at The Post) and I admire his work. I also really like Jacob; he’s a fine human being and I always enjoy our interactions.
In this conversation, we talk about Jacob’s new single, his other recordings, his youth, influential songwriters (John Michael Talbot, Rich Mullins, Jim Croce, Tom Petty, Gordon Lightfoot), living in Fort Worth, his songwriting process, his guitar teaching, Bob Dylan, playing guitar with a thumb pick, favorite books and records, the pandemic, and many more things.
