  • Welcome to my french strawberry tart recipe! I love this french strawberry tart recipe! You don't have to add the butter into the creme patisserie if you don't want to, but it adds an extra richness to it. If you like this video please subscribe, like & comment for more!
    Custard cream (creme patisserie):
    4 egg yolks
    130g sugar
    30g cornstarch
    250g milk
    250g heavy cream
    dash of vanilla bean essence
    dollop of butter
    Whisk together over low heat until thick, cover with cling film & refrigerate
    Base:
    130g butter
    70g sugar
    1 egg
    270g plain flour
    Fold together, flatten in clingfilm and splat into a biscuit base tin. Bake on medium heat until golden.
    Base cooking time:
    It depends on the oven- ours was 180 C fan oven for 25 mins but it really depends on oven so keep an eye on it & take it out when golden brown!
