Years ago in the 90's/early 2000's my dad used to work for West Yorkshire police force and was able to access the staff shop at what was then the factory of Rowntree Mackintosh/Terry's of York. He could get large bags full of mis-shaped Lion bars, amongst other chocolate bars, for next to nothing in cost. I'm sure they didn't have all the fancy flavoured varieties then, but still, those were the days!! I think I'm with you, Tina, the white chocolate bars are not my preference either! Ahhh the motherloade, love those marked-down deals :) Ross here, not too far from my workplace, there's a fortune cookie bakery that sells bags of the mis-shaped cookies for almost nothing, occassionally co-workers bring them in. I'm not sure what was going on with the peanut Lion Bar that you had (my favourite variety. It has sadly vanished from shops yet again), but every one I've had has had the same outside as every other Lion Bar I've had i.e. covered in chocolate, with no peanuts on the outside.
