Thank you for this video. I had wondered about it, and it looks amazing. I am considering getting 2 copies as I'd love to modify one with metallic markers - some of the cards are screaming for a shot of color, so I think this would be a great deck to play with personalization. Thank you!
Was trying to pick between this deck and the Goetia Tarot in Darkness deck--I went with the latter (and glad I did). This one is interesting, too, though. May have to grab a deck.
I'm surprised this video does not have more comments. I came across this deck when I was on Amazon and it popped up in my Tarot suggestion queue. I was instantly drawn to the shadow side and energy of the artwork. I gravitate towards black and white art since I draw in ink and pencil; it's aesthetic calls to me. I can tell it will be a challenge to work with since I already had a profound reaction to it as soon as I saw the images. Thank you for sharing! My birthday is coming up on July 31st so I had been treating myself with cards to add to my collection. Originally, I had my mind set on The Hush Tarot but I am nervous about the shipping reviews of it being lost in transit. It is not expected to arrive till the middle of August or September with no way of tracking it. I limited myself to 4 new decks but I caved today I purchased THe Black Tarot after much thought. I feel confident in the purchase and surprised there are no amazon reviews.
I think you made the right choice! The Hush Tarot is lovely to look at but I found it very hard to use! It just didn’t work for me. Let me know what you think of this when you get yours!
@@elementsoftarot I just got The Black Tarot today. :D I have been working with it and it works wonderfully. The Hush Tarot won't be coming until middle of August or September. I think many struggle with the Hush Trot is because of it's non traditional approach. The creator of the deck was using his prexisting artwork to fit into the system of Tarot. It works for some but not others. Another reason you may have difficulty is because it is a narrative style deck. The trick is allowing yourself to read the cards intuitive to get lost in the scenes and memorize the general meanings of the numbers/Roman Numerals. I highly suggest checking out The John Baur Tarot. It is another narrative deck that worked beautifully for me. If you love fairy tales I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The scenes reminded me of something from Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal. The UA-camr The Truth in Story gives excellent reviews and that is how I learned about the John Baur Tarot and many other goodies. I'll let you know what my experience is like with the Hush once I get it. :D So far, I'm enjoying the abstract journey of the Black Tarot. The abstract quality allows me to fill in the blanks; I call it peripheral reading which means I can form my own interpretation of each card. And now I'm done with my rant.:P
@@elementsoftarot I adore the John Baur deck! I use it especially when I want to revisit my childhood with a bit of a darker edge to it. Ironically, the Hush Tarot came earlier than expected and it was in my mailbox today. :D I honestly instantly have fallen in love with it. I also saw a buck under the bridge from my house. I live out in the country so I see deer often but males are a bit rare. I love the dark and light of nature in this deck and have clicked with it instantly. I'll be working it more this week. It goes well with my Dreams of Gaia tarot which is rather ingenious because it blends in elements of Oracle in the system. I highly suggest that one as well for color and chakra work.
I feel like any deck you connect to will be accurate after all the cards are in a way an extension of you, your energy is what makes the reading happen that’s why you can diy divination tool like runes with simple rocks, or you can also read with a random playing card deck.
I just ordered the last copy of two available ones, from Amazon. When I first saw them, there were two, available. When I went to actually order, there was one! They go fast.

I was instantly turned off by this deck and I feel the creator only tried to copy The True Black Tarot with obvious less success. Thank you for your time and dedication, however, I would suggest anyone slightly interested in this to check out The True Black Tarot.
Donnie Head if you look, the artwork is actually quite different than the True Black. The only thing the two decks have in common is that the cards are primarily black in color and they have the word black in their names. But thanks for your opinion and for watching! The True Black is a gorgeous deck!

When you say luxurious matte finish... is it matte or super soft “rose petal finish?”
I have since sold the deck, but from what I recall it was a standard matte- not rose petal.
I can't wait to get these but its taking me a while because the energies from the cards to me are intense 😳
The deck is not as dark as it seems. After spending a little time with it, I felt more comfortable with it.
