I got into Fruits Basket a couple months ago. I read the manga, loved it so immensely, and immediately watched the 2019 anime afterward just because I loved it so much. Tohru has become one of my absolute favorite characters in fiction, in my top 3 of all time; her boundless kindness is just downright inspiring. She's a comfort character of mine. Fruits Basket is one of my absolute favorite series of all time and it will forever stay with me.

Fruits basket always stuck with me and will always hold a special place in my heart! My other fave you may like is Gurren Lagaan, it is quite different from Fruits Basket but give it a try if you feel like it! It was fun, tugged at my heart & made me feel like I could keep going just like Fruits basket.

I am literally crying while typing this. I myself feel emotions very intensely. While watching the episodes, I remembered crying so much for each character, surprisingly more during the final interaction between Tohru and Akito. She understood Akito in such a way it really killed me. I was bawling my eyes out for hours during that scene. Akito felt like a child and Tohru finally accepting her as a normal person, as an equal. I love how pure the relationship between Yuki and Tohru was. I loved Momiji so much, his character growth was amazing and of course our little cat boy, Kyō. I just can't emphasize how much I love Tohru. She saved not only the zodiac members but me too. She is like a comfort character to me. I may not completely rewatch the whole series because of how heavily emotional it was, but I will definitely watch certain scenes over and over again . Thank 😭😭you so much for making this video.

I don't think I have consumed any other piece of media- anime or otherwise that has explored themes of truma and loss with as much care as Fruits Basket did.

I was REALLY surprised when Honda went for kyo and not yuki. I was honestly surprised I mean I always thought it would end up being Honda and yuki. I was even a little made but I got leveled out when yuki went to that one girl (forgot her name) which seemed good for yuki.

@@KindlyChristina Thanks b❤️ Fruit Basket had a similar effect on me. As someone who grew up from a culture that forces you to accept your family no matter what. I've dealt with a lot of toxic behavior towards me that I used to think was just.. love.
Finally watching Fruits Basket and realizing what the zodiac was a metaphor for.. I said.. Nah fam this too familiar.
I contemplated for many weeks, and decided I was not gonna let amy toxicity get to me and actively try to get to know myself and what I'm worth + the people who value that.
What an awakening that was, it changed who I am and how I see life.
Hence why Fruits Basket is my favorite anime ever. So I fn feel this video so much, this is wonderful!

Recognizing that just because your family teaches a dynamic doesn’t mean it’s love and disassociating it from true love is a difficult but freeing experience. The beauty is, once you have the space to explore, the world can be so much different than what you’ve known. I am so grateful on your behalf that you have been able to not only recognize but make changes in your life that improve the quality of your human experience. As someone who also dealt with trauma, I am so sorry for your experience. I am so grateful that fruits basket was able to simply break down concepts that might have remained a barrier if you didn’t experience it. Try Yona of the Dawn the pacing in the beginning is a bit slow but still a enjoyable watch😊

You might enjoy🤗 mob Psycho 100% 🤗 a ridiculous unique art style but it’s such a heartwarming coming-of-age and hilariously lovable show….also ranking of Kings if you want emotional damage because of complexed characters But also a protagonist That is the most adorable Best boy ever🥰 he shows strength in such a amazing incredible way…… or if you just want heartwarming heart beating romantic and you don’t mind boys love ❤️ Yuri on ice❤️ hope this helps on my most favourite anime

Do you reccomend the older version or newer version?
I haven’t seen the older version but the newer one was SO impactful on me, I definitely would say the newer version. But that can be seen as biased since I can’t honestly say I’ve seen the older. Take the time to watch the newer one if you can, absolutely worth it! Thanks for your comment!
