My great uncle Sandy is/was a session guitarist for a lot of record companies back in the day. He has sent me UA-cam links to alot of great music from shows back then. I love them! This one is awesome! The musicianship and voices are Gorgeous! I'm lucky I have Uncle Sandy. I got to meet Shirley Bassey & Etta James through him.
Anybody know when and where this was. Very sorry to hear about nick Gravenites. I got to see the original flag at Monterey, several times at the Cheata Club on Santa Monica pier, and opening for Jimmy Hendrix at the Shrine Aud in LA. Also saw Bloomfield with Butterfield just after the release of EastWest. Those were some of the best musical moments of my life and Bloomfield, in his prime, was spectacular.
Great share and a real surprise that I've not heard before. Wish these guys would have carried on with more concerts and albums. Thanks again for sharing!
One can see the true inspiration for the "Blues Brothers" here...
Brilliant musicians and sound. Mike Bloomfield is a gift to the blues guitar...
And Little Feat, too. That tight but sprawling feel to the music.
Nice to see Mike on a Tele!
Caught me by surprise too.
He played tele with Butterfield and also on Hiway 61 album.
Rest in peace Mr Gravenites
I didn’t know he’d passed until I just saw your comment. Shocked I missed word of it. RIP
This is a treasure!
Oh shit! I've never seen the full version of this, pops lookin' good.
Your Dad is a hell of a great singer. Never received enough credit for it.
@@micksherlock4083Totally agree. Buddy Miles on drums was also a fantastic singer.
@@dmoore0079 Yes indeed.
@timGravenites You used to go to Oak Grove in Graton right?
@TimGtavenites hows Nick these days?
Incredible band and performance.
And the great Harvey Brooks on bass...one of my inspirations.
Not "Roger Troy, b, v" as indicated in the footage?
My apologies…I really thought I recognized Harvey Brooks

Disrespectful: try Jimi Hendrix

Fantastic! What year was it?
1974
Sad news that Nick Gravenites passed away in September.
This song sounds like a cross mix of The Band and Little Feat.
channeling lowell george.
But luckily, it is neither of them.
That's the Electric Flag sound. The original sound, even though this is the re-formed version, sounds great.
Church
Who's the drummer? I don't think it's Buddy but I'm not certain.
