- This custom bike built from a bed frame - How long will it last? I push the limits of this crazy DIY bike, built from a single a bed down MTB trails, big crashes, dirt jumps and urban MTB freeride to see how long the bike will last!
This is version 2 of the crazy bed frame bike that i used a few years ago, the frame builder reached out to me and sold me this beauty so the first thing i did was hit the MTB trails to see how long the bike would last and most importantly see what tricks and jumps it could handle! Lewi pilgrim joined me for the session today and started the video off with a huge CRASH down a steep hill. After this i find that it works sick down mountain bike trails and even over jumps. It was then time for Lewi to shine around the pump track before I hit a huge stair set of doom on this this bike which was horrible. I even have a history with Sam section and a bonus clip from the Backyard Battle event in France. What part was the best?

What is the most eye opening is that Lewi is already an absolutely epic rider and even he cannot keep up with Sam's extraordinary skills when it comes to riding those weird contraptions. Well done to both for producing those amazing videos. What a Sunday night treat!
Poor Lewi has to try this stuff. He 100% wouldn't (And me) unless Sam was there being a fucking fearless lunatic.
Sam has reached the same point that the guys from Braille Skateboarding have. When you ride so much off the wall weird stuff that you somehow start to get good at it.
I'm new to Sam's Pilgrimage. But, there are three things that always feature it seems...

2. 0% Regard for personal safety
3. I never stop smiling through the whole video lol

Well, awesome bikes are the dream, and terrible death bikes are so amazing. So, all bikes = good.
Sams skill riding weird bikes is honestly incredible, considering the fact that lewi is a really good rider on a normal bike and can’t even hold that contraption straight when he’s riding it at walking pace on flat ground shows how insane it is for Sam to get air or go down a stairset!
i love how louis shows us all how hard the things sam does actually are. lol

I can only imagine how hard it is to ride a bike with a 90deg head angle, the bars backwards, tiny wheels, a back pedal brake and so high off the ground. I genuinely think Sam is one of the best riders of all time

The handlebars aren't backwards; it's the stem that's backwards. You can tell that the handlebars aren't backwards because their back sweep is in fact back sweep. If they were backwards it would turn their back sweep into forward sweep from the perspective of the rider.
Epic! I don't think Sam ever wakes up on the wrong side of the bed. This is gonna be good 😎

@@SamPilgrim I you were the inspiration for my channel. I started out trail riding on mtb then switched to magnet fishing. Then found some firearms fishing and restored them. Now I only restore old antique firearms. “The kinzler bros” if you see this message. Keep sending it “and I will see you in the next one”.

I'm a 57yo American who grew up on BBC nature/history/geography shows on PBS channel 2, pre cable tv. They still have the same people doing these shows today that I watched as a 10yo- they need young blood. The full on tv job probably would suck huevos but, I would definitely watch that sh-t. 100%. "Sam's Pilgrimage" is one of a million possible titles.

Yeah, Lewie's got the worst brother!! As a kid, me and my cousin (two weeks apart in age) would build these crazy jumps and features in the woods behind my home and it would go down like this:
"-You go first..
-No, you go first!
***Then we'd ask my kid brother to try it and he would promptly crash***
-Maybe the angle should'nt be so steep...."

Bed bike version 1 was absolutely mental! 🤣This looks a little more reasonable. I haven't even watched the video yet but I got this sudden idea that you could do an episode where you decorate the bed frame in LED lights and then go for a night ride around town. That is if it even survives this episode....now to find out...

Dude Lewi is one of those people who doesn't try to be funny but he's soooo Fuggin funny man. When he starts shaking on the bike like that I just LOST it. I'm at work everyone is staring at me like I'm insane. Which they all already know I am insane so....I do wheelies on my R1 everyday leaving here doing like 100mph. They all wonder how I've seen every receptionist naked too...chix dig wheelies, fast bikes, and scars. I have many of all 3.
