Mass shootings are as American as apple pie, and this idiot walks around with an AR-15-style rifle (the main choice for mass shooters). Justice Antonin Scalia will go down as the worst supreme court judge in history for his misrepresentation on the 2nd amendment. The phrase keep and bear arms was a fixed term of art that always referred to militia service
The complete ignorance of the law by these tyrannical Leo's is the most frustrating part of this video. The courts rule that they have qualified immunity. So, the cops didn't know the law, so they cannot be held accountable. If I go into court and I tell the judge that "I did not know the law", He tells me "Ignorance of the law is no defense". I come from a family of cops. Three generations. Dad was the chief of police. Spent my entire life believing that police are the good guys and that they are here to protect and serve the community… 50 years behind the thin blue line. To be fair, dad was by any measure a good and caring cop. All it took was one weekend down a UA-cam cop watcher rabbit hole and my perspective has completely flipped. What a broken, damaging system we have in place.
Have they found out you've been watching these ? I mean it's too late to spank you but it must have made some interesting conversation,if so. I'd be a little apprehensive letting the cat out of the bag, but it's not my family I don't know em and people iz people 😁 Rock on man, most folks here just wanna live life unhindered and aren't breaking any obviously known laws.
I don't believe there's a lot of bad officers out there but what I do believe is there's a lot of offices willing to stand up and defend any officer regardless if their good or bad which really plays into the idea a bad apple spoils the bunch
Your perspectives on law enforcement weren't wrong, but sadly they're no longer applicable. The current generation of police are not the cops you described from a generation ago. So much has changed, and not for the better. Departments deliberately hire officers of low intelligence who follow orders because they don't want them considering their constitutional oath.
The lady cop with the shotgun looks pathetic holding that gun. She was also incredibly rude and should be put on desk duty rather than hold a gun she clearly can’t handle.
Very poorly trained. The other female cop was in her crossfire much of the time and she was standing so close to the guy, if he intended to attack her, he would have been on top of her before she even raised the barrel.
Gotta love how one cop says it’s ok for him to put his hands down while the other says no. You can tell these people are far more dangerous than this man who was harassed. These thugs are horrible human beings.
Just like the Daniel Shaver murder. Deadly game of Simon says were, once you mess up, we shoot you. Made all the more sinister with 2 police giving conflicting commands.
There was 3 with that west point graduate with the concealed carry walking out of a store that popos slaughtered. Put your hands up, drop the (holstered) gun, lay on the ground
When Twitter, or Facebook, or UA-cam, or Amazon, or Government Buildings or Agencies, Politicians, etc. can censor Freedom of Speech or your right to film Public Officials performing their duties, does the First Amendment actually exist?
A: I doubt anyone trespassed him B: the cops set a trap for him, maing it impossible to leave so they could arrest him C: the level of fuckery in this video is incredibly alarming. The court acknowledged his constitutional right to carry, but wouldn't acknowledge his constitutional right to move freely without being accosted and assaulted.
@@JohnTheRevelat0r those werent lawful orders, could a cop stand outside your home and prohibit you from entering your own home? what kind of precedence is that? I hate this country. so corrupt.
It's an answer, it's not THE answer. QI only protects them from lawsuits and lawsuits aren't enough to get police to follow the law. All of the officers involved should have been criminally charged and that's on the DA.

Cops can still pretty much get away with whatever they want thanks to qualified immunity, police union and thin blue line protections. Even if you successfully win a lawsuit the cops don't have to pay a dime and get a free paid vacation out of it so why would they act like humans when they can get away with acting like thug gang members.
@@xyzxyz6406 Yeah, qualified immunity definitely needs to end... I don't see LEOs as gang members though. To me they're even worse; insurgents, with a blue line as a representation. Also, I agree it's bs they don't even have to pay for the lawsuit they lose, WE do. Maybe things would be better if the minimum requirement to become a police officer wasn't 'you only need to be 21 with a GED to get in.'
Hate to be that Guy, but if he was Black, they for sure would've "Accidentally Discharged" their own Weapons. Would've also Handcuffed him and Broke his phone.

I used to live literally a 2 minute walk from here. Nice to see audits are happening there as well. However its sad to see how far this state has gone downhill. Violating rights and officers are granted qualified immunity.
This is what happens when (because) our kids are (and have been) continually brainwashed with propaganda indoctrination by leftists/ Marxists in an organized secretive special interest agenda to destroy and subvert our nation and enslave us (which is what is really and actually happening whether people realize it or not). In my opinion he is lucky to be alive. The way they treated him was unbelievable. This whole situation could have gone bad very quickly. The female officer looked like she was waiting for a reason to shoot to be honest.
Hormonal treatments do a number on anyone, the cop was so eager to shoot the 2nd amendment activist she disagreed with, that she forgot how to operate her service shotgun! Laughable behavior
@@Twigz11 I used to trust the cops, all it took is their behavior in several mass shootings, their behavior during the pandemic and a bad personal experience with an officer to completely and utterly destroy that trust beyond any chance of restoring it.
The first rule of Blue Line Club is officer safety. That's why they now require four police cars to respond to a routine traffic stop. Officer safety is also why every police officer responds to a school shooting but for over an hour none of them will engage the murderer who is slaughtering children. That would be too dangerous!
So the cops essentially set a trap for him so he couldn’t get to his car. Unbelievable. They would’ve towed the car, but it seems like he was better off paying for that fee versus losing all of his savings. This is perhaps the most egregious ruling on a case in a while.
I can’t even imagine how absolutely confused this guy was when they said he couldn’t walk that way and then when he went to walk the other way they said he couldn’t go on private property 😅
Very obvious they did that so they would have an excuse to shoot him or arrest him; I believe it was pre-planned as he was re-loading. I'm very upset his lawsuit was rejected and these officers faced zero accountability, but glad this fellow made it out without getting shot.
What a gaggle of tyrants. I'm genuinely impressed a judge overturned the conviction, at least some judges still respect the law. Good on this guy for following this up with legal action.
People are funny. If the AR was slung over his shoulder first impression would be one thing. If he were walking with both hands on the weapon, at the ready to raise it and fire first impression would be another. Both are legal but appearance matters. If I were exiting a crowded mall and saw a guy with an AR walking toward it with both hands in the weapon I'd retrieve my weapon from my car and follow him from a safe distance while keeping him in range, but that's just me. Guess this is where the Armed Fisherman got the idea for his pranks.
They always want to charge you with "resisting arrest" and "obstruction of justice" or "failure to ID" but what did they do to get those charges to begin with because they weren't charged with anything else but those things.
And that's where qualified immunity kicks in, especially in states that follow the Terry doctrine. so long as the cops think they're acting in good faith, the citizen is screwed by the system.
Thank you for covering this. I watched this video years ago and it always stood out to me as one of the most egregious violations during open carry I've ever seen. It's good to get information of what happened after the video ended and surrounding context. Excellent work as always LL. Thank you for what you do.
Well if you ever run into those cops, be sure to ask for anyone else and call them out for being dirty and rude. When they deny it, pull up this video as proof. Cop: why do you think I’m corrupt or incompetent? Exhibit A (This video)
The solution is NOT to depend on them. They aren't there to protect you, they are there to generate money for the city. It's why the city protects their awful behavior. Depend only on yourself for protection.
They seem to have a superiority complex. They can belittle people bc they can get away with it. If they were cool and understanding of the situation once they apprehended the guy, people would respect them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if a citizen is being wrongfully and unlawfully detained they have a right to defend themselves with force. Thankfully he kept his cool in the face of such a blatant violation of his rights...
It is absolutely correct that you are legally permitted to use any force necessary to prevent an officer from completing a felony in progress in WA. I come from a family of cops. Three generations. Dad was the chief of police.
Spent my entire life believing that police are the good guys and that they are here to protect and serve the community… 50 years behind the thin blue line. To be fair, dad was by any measure a good and caring cop.

You can tell these people are far more dangerous than this man who was harassed.
These thugs are horrible human beings.

Well they can't win whatever they do. You will always twist the outcome to blame them..it's a national sport.
@@Biffo1262 I think you missed the point. In this situation this man was obviously no harm to anyone and they knew that. So then they can act all big and bad and be the bullies that they normally are. And the shooting situation their true selves come out as the cowards they are when someone is actually a harm to everyone.
If that man would have started letting rounds off, everyone of them would have ran for the hills! And then they would have called for back up!!!
When you see painted on eyebrows, you know that you are dealing with a psycho. That woman cop with the shotgun needs to be checked.😢
She has a finger on the trigger too.
That whole demeanor was scary.
yeah, man or woman if you weigh less than 100lbs you shouldnt be a cop. she looks like a scared little child and shes going to use excessive force the first time she gets tested by a big dude alone
My mom has drawn eyebrows, that’s not a stereotype
@@Arakox If you weigh less than 50 lbs. Is more like it.
Wow this is the first UA-cam video I’ve ever watched that boiled my blood and really pissed me off. All of these officers need to be fired, lose their pensions and retirement, and even imprisoned
"Make sure it's not stolen." That's a search if you look up the serial number...
Actually, taking possession of his firearm (holding it) is seizing it. Doing so to check the serial number. Farther more, emptying it is searching it, just like with any other container. They both searched and seized his firearm without legal or personal authorizatiin.
@@caseyomah they get away with the seizure routinely in court. "Officer safety." Same with unloading. But running the numbers is definitely a search. That's not going to hold up.
The female cop with the weapon looks and talks like she's unhinged. She's a danger to the public!
Female LEOs in general. Trigger happy mostly out of heightened fear due to their gender.
I thought the same thing, Lon. The eyes! Either unhinged or terrified. Either way, she's dangerous.
She is being sued right now for shooting and killing a different person. I hope she gets jail time, inmates will love to make her stay real comfortable
She's been involved in multiple lawsuits against her and Vancouver PD.
Yes people...this is the poster pig of psycho, right here! Those fake eyebrows, alone, were quite disturbing.
How are they not held accountable for this? They literally deserve prison time for this
Because these pigs are above law.
THEY NEED TO BE EXECUTED BY FIRING SQUAD FOR DOMESTIC TERRORISM AND TREASON OF THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE!
They didn't get punished so let them go back to work. The streets will punish them soon enough. Lol
Prison my ass. My tax dollars are not going to house clothe n feed them. They need executed by public hanging or firing squad and I promise this jackboot Gestapo tyranny will stop
Qualified immunity.
Wow dropping all of his rounds on the group after illegally detaining him? Yikes that's really aggregious
It's funny I was just thinking about this particular video in case yesterday when I was watching and armed fisherman video where they mentioned unloading all the rounds from a firearm. I remember what a douchebag move that was and how they had done that in this particular video. It's a way that criminal blue line gang members can show utter disdain for a law abiding citizen.
It's quite clear to any rational human being that these blue line gang members created the situation so they could arrest him. If it had gone down a little differently they would have figured out a different excuse to arrest him. If he had gone straight to his car they probably would have followed him and pulled him over for a pretextual stop and written him ticket after ticket for ridiculous reasons.
It must make a community like that really proud to have criminals like this wearing badges in their City.
That's simple. Keep a loaded mag hidden on your person. Then when they do that pull out the full mag and slide it in. Then get them to pick up and reload the rounds they took out of your other mag.
@@JohnTheRevelat0r basically all rifle rounds will be armor piercing for them. Vests are only rated for pistols (up to 44 mag) and noone is hiding contraband between rounds as itll jam the gun should he need it
Here’s one for you, I was a witness to an armed robbery at a hotel! Was a CCDW holder (in another state). Left my hotel room armed to check on the couple that had been robbed and was accosted by the Spokane Washington police department because I happened to be armed! They tried running me, my firearm, and a bunch of other shit! They did the same thing with my weapon, unloaded it and ran it! When they returned it back to me it was missing a few things! They actually stole my ammunition!
Well if aliens ever invade all the cops and the government will scuttle to their underground cities like rats and the rest of us will be left helpless.
@Future Pants bullies are the biggest cowards
This case should be in the Supreme Court. None of those in authority over this case followed the law. That is incredibly dangerous ground for tyranny and disregard of every civil right we have.
It shouldn't even need to be appealed.
The Federal Courts are clearly failing in their duties and responsibilities to this nation and their oath.
He needs to take this to a federal court of appeals
I grew up in Vancouver wa. And I'm truly surprised it didn't go worse.
Everyone that was involved during those Case files investigating those officers need a probe themselves.
Micky Rourke with the shotgun, was glad he could read. Very professional. Idk how any judge can rule in favor of an officer like her, who could barely hold up that gun. Also, that jury, prosecutor and judge in the first trial should be investigated.
When will police officers learn the laws?!? The condescending attitude needs to be addressed!
When qualified immunity no longer protects them from the consequences of not knowing the laws.
5:13 and "making sure it's not stolen" is a seizure and search.
Who cares? They searched it and nothing happened to them. Go cry about it.

Those officers CLEARLY need more training. The citizens in this town need to hold them all accountable and RETRAIN THEM. They are tyrants.
That's what he was looking for though
he did sue, but a judge threw his case out
This, right here, makes me madder than a hornet being sprayed with water. It seems that none of these POLICE, can actually carry out their duties correctly, when they don't even know the Constitution that they swore oaths on. It's just sickening to see this kind of behavior. It really is.
This is my home town and I'm not surprised in the least. The reason I got into 1A audits is because these bastards put me in the back of a car with no seat belt and were driving wrecklessly on purpose to throw me around in the back.
Damn! scary world we live in, specially when those who are supposed to maintain order are more dangerous than the 'criminals'. "Criminals" know they must be somewhat careful, most cops don't care,,,
QUALIFIED IMMUNITY must go!

IMO opinion Vancouver Cops for most part are good Cops but of course there are bad apples and this guy put then Gestapo cops on blast, they were all running on fear especially that shotgun cop

Amazing how a simple metal badge can turn a normal person into a tyrant. If you are the type of person that let's that badge go to his or her head they should be sent back to civilian life.
"Normal" people are not wanted in the "force" I imagine anyone with an IQ above the national average, on their application, is automatically rejected.
I am a former LEO with 22 plus years on the job, And I know and understand clearly the wording of both the Second & Fourth amendments of the constitution, Things I had to learn and completely understand while assigned to work on a Criminal Interdiction team for the department, PROBLEM IS most officers working the streets today have not obtained or furthered their education in the field enough to have learned these things , and that is why incidents like this happen to citizens who have not committed any law violations while in public, but they still get mistreated by the justice system !!!
He needs to take this to a federal level if he's to have any chance of suing.
It's a shame that the ones we intrust with enforcing the laws have no clue what the laws are.
When I was honorably discharged from the Army, I went to my vet rep seeking employment. He said he had nothing that day, but I could always be a cop or guard. True story.
Says it all. Suspicions confirmed.
The state will persecute and prosecute you without ever breaking the law simply because they don’t like what you are doing.
Government agents were the only law breakers here, but they are above the law so nothing will come of their crimes. This one is a blood boiler!
I saw this video when it was first released years ago, big thank you to LackLuster for covering this story and providing the updates.
The whole copsplanation around 8:00 reminds me so much of Idiocracy.
In fact, that's what I'm reminded of pretty much every time I hear one of these arrogant, under-educated government employees trying to "Do you understand?" his way through whatever stupidity he's peddling as the law that day.
"This particular individual …"
She even identified herself as "right here" which sounds like a relative of Not Sure.
That guy talking like a robot was nuts. He's obviously gone through this before. The way he set up that trap to arrest him for trespassing was not pulled out of his ass on the fly
@@althor9997
You make a good point. Maybe @LackLuster could get some additional body-cam footage from the cop who emptied out the magazine?
We should investigate these bad cops the same way they investigate us. We see something that looks off about this officer, and we dig into whatever public information we can about him. It stands to reason that he has previously run this criminal conspiracy against other innocent people, and if so, it should be exposed for the public to see.
@@andrewl.8626 is she related to "Ida Know" and "Not Me"?
As a Police officer I greatly appreciate the support from UA-cam channels such as this that shine a light on these situations although I don’t agree with everything on every video such a consequential profession as mine must be accountable to those we serve. Thank you.
And the public has yet another reason to distrust the law enforcement community and the justice system as a whole.
I am a 71-year-old retired peace officer and this chick with the shotgun is a vile disgusting disgrace to the women that came before her and how hard we had to work to get a badge.
No offense brother but taking 6 months of training isn't "working hard" for your badge. Barbers have to be trained for 2 years just to cut hair... We need CHANGE
She's the only one huh?
No offense but they don't even have to do 6 months of training in my area. It's online courses and you are good to go. If you shoot a dog on someone's property without cause they just hire you into the county or another town. The corruption is real and out in the open. They know they can't be touched.
Six months training to be a condescending, self serving prick! FT police!

These cops were trying to set him up for the arrest. They knew they didn't have anything on him but also knew they could arrest him in the pkg lot.

I spent most of my life in Washington state actually about 20 minutes from where the video was filmed. About twice a year you would see open carry being exercised. Never bothered me. Too many people don’t know it’s a open carry state.
It seems the cops are more worried about it than the citizens. I'm over in eastern WA and occasionally I'll see somebody with a pistol on their hip. I don't see anybody blink an eye, but we are more rural and most people here have guns.
Having lived in Kansas, Mac will be much happier there.

How was that suit dismissed like that ?! That is absolutely absurd. Qualified Immunity needs to go.
