Love your vids Mr.Dolloff. Your descriptions along with the prices are astonoshing. Some of those Chevrolet service signs make me drool. Thanks so much and keep up the great work along with Parker.
Your comment "Getting tired of looking at 5 and 10 thousand dollar signs....." makes a GOOD point. I deal in collectibles and art. I and my wife initially wanted to be THAT dealer with only high-priced stuff. We found ourselves sitting there at shows twiddling our thumbs. LONG ago, we then started carrying items as low as $5 and UP at shows. Now, when we do a show, our booth IS RARELY empty and we are damn busy. Assuming a show is "rocking"....my wife sometimes is backed up at the end of the table with a line for processing the buyers. We have found that many people that come into our booth, LEAVE with something they bought. Even if it IS little...it ALL adds up (helps pay for food, booth, tolls, gas, hotel stay, etc.). Oh we still carry high-end shit..no doubt..and we DO sell it...BUT shows go SO much better and are now MUCH busier than those EARLY old days of mistakenly ONLY carrying high-priced stuff. Profit margin is better on the cheap stuff too. Hope those dealers with 5 grand signs take credit card....most folks aren't carrying around 5 grand in CASH in their pockets. Just saying.... Oh one other thing...ALL our inventory IS PRICED AND TAGGED......ALWAYS. I've walked out of booths where things weren't priced...and I"ve shown my wallet to the dealer (with a massive wad of cash) telling them..."You're not getting any of this from me...You know why? Because you've NEVER heard of using f---king price tags." And then I walk......
If only I had the money because I saw quite a bit of service station stuff I would love to have. My first buy would of been the eco air and water meter and the Wayne 505/507 gas pump oil rack
The opening shots of the river and the actual swap meet was pretty kewl. Nice seeing the barge pushing on down the river. As far as the swap meet, can you even buy ANY sign for $100.00 anymore??? I mean serious? SMH.
Just like anything else in the United States right now we are battling inflation. Even fast food is 15.00 a meal especially in California. So no 100.00 signs unless reproduction .
Just watching your video. So we’re in sunny England we had the opportunity to buy a nice big dodge brothers enamel sign the other year . Have you come across any for sale on your travels ,we got three mopars including a 1950 pilot house .Regards Roy.
@helenfinchsewwrite Hi there, Roy. Thanks for watching! That's great. I bet they aren't easy to find on the other side of the pond. I have had a couple over the years but none at the moment. We are also Mopar guys so love this kind of stuff. Ben
A lot of that stuff has to be new old stock looks newer that new stuff won't that shiny back in the 40,50,60,70's heck I wuz born in 68 an don't rember it being that shiny in 75 for Pete's sake lol could just be my eyes ain't as good either lol ?
Can't believe how many dealers just seem to wander off and leave their booths unattended. At EVERY show we do - SOMEONE is ALWAYS manning the booth...You can't sell stuff IF you're not at your booth....it's called "customer SERVICE". Also, the obvious reason to be there....THEFT.
You actually take your time with your videos, very nice pleasurable, your #1 in my top 5 swap meet videos.

@sueburesch4017 sorry but I don't know who that was. Maybe you could contact Robbie Wolfe as he was the one running this show
