    Interesting history! I used to ride my horse in Warm Springs in the 1970's.

    Interesting. Although there was no "Palo Alto" (other than the tree) until after the university was built. Stanford built Palo Alto as a temperance town to keep the students out of the saloons in Menlo Park and Mayfield (which was later absorbed by PA and now the neighborhood around California St, which is why PA has two downtowns).
