ALL bears -- including the two Great Enemy bears -- are weak to sleep. one standard sleep pot will put them to sleep. Sleep will let you set up big criticals or attack chains. If you're struggling, try sleep
Sleep is the only reason I can get through Godskin Duo consistently. I actually like fighting the Apostles but Nobles' ridiculous agility and super fat roll annoys me so much. That could have been a really balanced fight if Noble just moved slower in general. He should not have the same speed while being 3 times the size of the Apostle.
That 1 crumbledore lookin mage spamming spells in the scorpion river catacombs was a nightmare the 1st time through!

At about 3:15, if you kill all the fat dudes in the water, one drops a unique bleed spear!!
Specifically the bloodfiend that casts the Nihil-like skill.
I think they can randomly drop that in other areas too. I've seen that drop in that town full of them east of the first legacy dungeon

I got the arm from the town and I got the fork from the dungeon with the boss version. I’m pretty sure those locations, including the lake in this video, are guaranteed drop locations. At least on the first kill.
Part 3 would be awesome. Definitely helps getting ready to return to the land of shadow. I had no idea I missed so much
Dom, Rugaelea's lore is probably the most important part of the DLC lore: It shows how gods are born. And it is simpler than we thought. I'm not joking that I stared stunned for seven minutes reading and re-reading that description. 70% of ER cosmology in one description.

You can absolutely access those big structures from the ground level in the Cerulean Coast. Those are huge stone coffins actually. The one you marked 1, there’s just a ledge near it and for the other you need to find a cave enterance at the coast where the lightning blobs are at 11:22
I really hate that I locked myself out of pretty much every single NPC quest line, and who knows what else, just by accidentally exploring a little too far north a little too early. There was no indication whatsoever that getting within 1km of the castle gate would significantly reduce the amount of accessible content.
After finishing the dlc these have been helping with some items I’ve missed
This nmight go into the "Things you missed" episode, but hugging the cliff on the right from the Pearl talisman camp, going through the crevice and before the blood prawns, on the left is a spirit spring. exploring a bit you can find a legendary spirit ash

Just a heads up, you missed the ash of war scarlet kick for the dry leaf style weapons in the walk through ravine from temple ruins sites of grace heading north on the left side where the pests are in a small pool of scarlet rot

lol reminding me more that I broke the rune too early ! That's the only complaint I have for the dlc. I surprisingly did a lot before breaking the rune

The pillar you marked as one can be climbed on from below. You need torrent and to jump down towards the end of it from the little ledge near the middle you point out.

Markers 1 and 4 at 10:58 are DEFINITELY accessible from ground level.
Can you do any of this if you already broke the rune
I'm surprised Discus of Light is carrying me so well in DLC, even at 50 faith, great against the golems due to discus pass thru property.

I wish this dlc had more bossea/dungeons it i was hoping for like 5 more dungeons at least.. so sad ran theough this dlc in 2 days

With a couple NPCs having two different eyes you can give them for a reward. It is not possible to 100% the dlc in a single playthrough

Do you really miss a lot if you accidentally break the great rune? I did that and then didn’t have another save to go back to… Hoping I didn’t miss too much but I guess I will be doing some NG+ runs to get everything anyway….
Mostly it's just a questline so if you're not bothered about that, it doesn't make much of a difference 😊

Hopefully you can answer this I'm finishing up base game but wanted to get perfume bottles specifically the fire and lightning... Can I get them early without messing anything up?
I know you can get one extremely early. It's in the encampment right infront of castle ensis in a chest on the right side where the 5 perfumers are. Don't remember which one it is but it's there.
you can find the lightning bottle in the coast area in the south, shown in this vid too, but it is a lot of running

Hey Dom? Did you notice after defeating Leda and Her companions if you go to near dry leaf dane and correct your camera angle you can notice he is still blinking
Love how I accidentally broke the spell just walking past the Bonny village bridge 😢
I played for like 2 hours and accidentally wandered too far north when I got the message about breaking the rune. I immediately deleted my last save and gladly replayed what I did in those 2 hours. I’m just glad I didn’t do anything that would have saved the game and locked me out of whatever I would’ve missed.

I can't find anywhere what the actual negative consequences of breaking the rune is! I have already talked to the NPCs until all their dialogue is just repeats. I can't get an answer on exactly which NPCs quests it ruins and what you lose!
As far as i know moore’s quest line is affected

@@anthonydefrancesco9078 I do kinda wanna play it again but doing it on ng++ just feels a bit boring cause once you know where everything thing is, the magic of exploring is gone for me so it just becomes a running around - boss rush... Could make a new char to have a sense of progression but i also don't wanna fully restart such a huge game knowing so much stuff is irrelevant for my build + farming all the fragments again...

Bit late for me and I'm really annoyed that the DLC has now been ruined after I was careful with the main game. I like to explore and have been essentially punished for doing so. Really crap decision by Fromsoft for doing this.

@@anthonydefrancesco9078 Same here. I'm certainly not going to restart the entire game, I get no joy from replaying something I've already done. You know exactly where everything is and lose that sense of amazement and fun when you discover something. I know that Fromsoft program games that have choices but this choice isn't really hinted at and pretty much ruins the DLC if you trigger the breaking rune too early. It ruins quest lines and stops you acquiring certain items. Could have put some in-game message at the beginning alluding to this, say a note from Miquella. I've sort of lost interest in the DLC now. Or they could allow you to reset the DLC at the very least.
Definitely doesn't ruin the dlc to break the rune , I did it before beating any remembrance boss on accident and still really enjoyed the rest of the dlc and finished off a lot of quest lines. Nobody finished every quest line first time through elden ring either, makes me excited for some variation in further playthroughs!
Was disappointed in the rune breaking, but still pushing ahead. Honestly just been playing along as the videos release, it reminds me of when the game first released and I was obsessed with all of Dom’s videos and the adventure. Plus Dom’s videos kinda give me a nice sense of relaxation, as someone who deals with anxiety it can be safe to assume these types of games might not be the best for me lol but having a guide like this and kinda knowing what to expect to a degree is really nice and I can sorta plan my play through depending on how I’m feeling that day!

I have no idea what this means. I don't want to know. I figured I be safe from spoilers, considering your alleged target audience for this video.
I hate this DLC, I'm pretty sure they made it an open world just so they could hide shit from us. I missed so much stuff just cause I didn't think to go a certain way, didn't see a certain item or an enemy distracted me to open a certain door. I hate people keep praising this and rewarding FromSoftware for it. Like it is perfectly normal to have to watch walkthrough in order to complete a game just cause you forgot to grab some random emote from a random tree so you open a random gate to access the end game.
