Since i've tested for first time the Delta Link, i immediatlty fall in love. I've had other first brand bikes, but mate...I can only think in riding this new evil bike!!
It might not happen for another year or two but I would love to get either this or the new Wreckoning. This seems like such a great all rounder trail bike but for the terrain I ride the Wreckoning might be better suited. Either way I think Evil is winning at making bikes.
I've ridden the Wreckoning; it is very much a "winch up/bomb down" type of bike that is a bit of a grind to pedal up-hill on and which demands a lot of speed to come alive. A real monster truck. If that's what you want, by all means, but just be aware that it is a LOT of bike, essentially a de facto downhill rig (and it *is* built to take a DH fork if you want to put one on).
Cool bike, too little changes to justify the change tho . Might try and find a lightly used V1 since everybody's stocked for that new superboost spacing ;)
@@russman109 I was trying to justify selling my Wreckoning LB for a V3...Then I dropper a -1.5 angleset on it, HA is slacker, ST is steeper and a bit more wheelbase. Best 100$ I ever spent
Based on the ol geo charts, I'd say pretty dang similar! There's small differences, like the Sentinel's 1cm longer chainstays, shorter effective top tube, etc, that will affect the feel somewhat. Even with the angled headset, the Offering would be a degree steeper, so a bit faster steering, maybe a bit faster around corners (chainstay, wheelbase), and a bit more stretched out feeling while pedaling (ETT). I'd just pick whichever when you think is cooler and maybe in stock! Cheers - Dan at Fanatik

The 157 switch takes this off my list, but it is objectively better than 148. Looks like a stellar bike. I guess if I want a Weagle-linked 148 bike I need to hurry up and buy a RipMo AF. Damn, I wish someone made alloy DELTA bikes.

I do actually wish the entire bike industry would go steeper on the seat tubes. Make it 77 degrees in the X-Low position with a 150mm fork, and then I think we're getting somewhere. Almost nobody I know doesn't overfork their bike, at least a little?

New bike, 150mm fork, low setting (not x-low), seat angle is 77 degrees. Old bike, 150mm fork, low setting (not x-low), seat angle is 76 degrees. Not a massive difference, but that's what it is. @@barrakingbeatz7794 The Kona 153 is much more upright and feels like you're "on top" of the bike. Evils feel very inside the bike, IMO. Evils feel more playful to me.
Switchblade for climbing and pop, offering for the best rear suspension on the downs ever with a slight climb sacrifice and the stumpy is like riiiight in the middle imo

Whats bad about a 34 on an Offering? If you wanted a lighter weight build there is no reason you can't build the Offering up with a Fox 34. Just depends on the riding you are doing and what you want out of the front end on your build!

I'd venture a disagreement, which is that the Offering already had modern geometry, except for maybe the seat-tube angle. Here's a quote from my review, which I'll put the whole link to as well. But, like you said, you can of course always use an angleset as well. "The Offering V1 was the last in the line of Evil’s first generation trail bikes, and as such they’d come a long way in determining what makes for an amazing ride experience. The Following MB (and now the Following V3) sit at a snappy 67 degree head angle, while the enduro-inclined Wreckoning V2 hovers at just under 65 degrees, depending on your fork and flip-chip selection. After being hard-line anti-29 and then having their eyes opened after building the Wreckoning V1, I'm not sure there even will be a new 27.5 from Evil.
Just go for it. I received me evil Wreckoning 2 weeks ago. And I was one of the biggest 29 haters. But I love it. And a friend of me (has the new 27.5 canyon torque with a 26 backwheel😂) who is MR Freeride himself , didn’t even realised that this is a 29
All that boost spacing really is just a cheap trick for getting tire clearance moving the chainline out. companies try to sell with promises of „stiffness“ and better spoke angle... oh my.
@@believe8263 20 years ago I was riding a single pivot....having your rear end stiffen up under braking sucks. I tend to need the rear suspension to work when on the brakes more because I am in the rocks.

So you guys have it set up as 160mm front? What's the A-C on that, and is what height is the rider / what size is he riding?
He's 5'11" riding a large. Axle to crown on 160mm 36 is 567.1mm.
Can anyone help with sizing? I'm 6ft 2 and unsure on large or XL? Cheers

Whats bad about a 34 on an Offering? If you wanted a lighter weight build there is no reason you can't build the Offering up with a Fox 34. Just depends on the riding you are doing and what you want out of the front end on your build!
