The first two mikes had the richest sound, not much between them. The SM7 was different side by side but not sure it would be noticeable if a podcaster chose to use it all the time
@@trick700 I Agree! you can rally notice a difference between the SM7s and the MV7. It's a matter of taste. You can use the SM7B with a cloud lifter or ditch the could lister and use the SM7dB. Thank you for watching. Veronica
¡Grandioso video! I have been using the Shure SM7B with the Rodecaster Pro II. Because of the preamps on this board, I have no need for the SM7dB, as it would introduce more noise if I engaged the internal preamp. However, I have been wanting to connect my SM7B directly to the XLR port on my camera, now THAT would be a perfect justification to get the SM7dB as the experience would be flawless. Thank you for this comparison!
SM7B with Universal Volt 1 . Sounds great zero noise from roaring up the gain . Can get both for 450€. Cloudlifter isnt needed . Some people probably don’t know about Universal Audio since they’re known for expensive high end equipment . But they released a few years ago consumer grade Interfaces like the Volt(1,2,) and Volt 76 ( 176,276, 476) . The amps inside them eliminate the need for Cloudlifters or fetheads . The Volt 1 costs around 140 , the Volt 176 around 180. The 76 series comes with a hardware compressor , the standard has just presence booster.
Is an audio interface still required for the SM7dB? I currently use a 48V phantom power supply to connect my condenser microphone to my PC. Is it enough to connect the SM7dB to my phantom power supply or do I need an audio interface? Amazing video! :)
Hey I'm Andrew I want it's about these mic read all from my comments (READ ALL MY COMMENT) I love the sm7db because it have a preamp one thing that i hate about the preamp version of the sm7b it's because it need 48v phantom power. Here's the problem If you have under 48v phanton power audio interface for the preamp version the the sm7b IT WILL NOT WORK that why i hate one thing about sm7db i would recommend the sm7b or MV7 that will work! The MV7 was sound kinda weird one and sometime it cut off when your talking. One thing that I like MV7 it was the usb that can plug mic into the computer. The both sm7b and sm7db it's because they both dynamic and sounds pretty good and there is one problem from the sm7b need extra xlr and cloudlifter sometime you don't need a cloudlifter for the goxlr. It sometime it needs it for the bad interface because the background noise and static noise if you need for the extra boost the for your sm7b dbs and audio interface that will work. Sincerely, Andrew
1x(9/30/24)…..done. You talked a little too fast for me. Great video & audio effects. Overall too much info too fast. Maybe have a comparison chart at the end. I wasn’t interested in any product at this time. Just thinking of the future. Thank you. God Bless.
Which one is your favorite?

clearly SM7B
If money is not an issue, the SM7dB is a great choice. The MV7 is great value for money.😊🎙
Hi Shinil! I agree. The MV7 is great microphone but you can definitely hear the difference in quality. Thank you for stopping by!
@@psscreativemedia Correct. After all, there is a reason for the price difference. You get what you pay for.😊

Every other Audio Interface below 200 requires a Cloudlifter .
True. We use our SM7B with our SSL 2+ without the cloudlifter.
What is your camera setup?
Great idea for a video. Was looking exactly for this.
perfect comparison. my favorite is SM7B

@@Kortrexx I’d recommend using an audio interface
For the MV7 recording which you did at the end - why does it sound like the audio quality changed mid sentence?
I'm falling in love with your voice and your energy perfect.. 🌚
That little MV seven gives it a run for his money! I was thinking of upgrading but have Apollo and areamps
Just picked up the SM7db for $355 on sale with Amazon, got lucky!
That’s awesome! Black Friday deal?

Godzilla had a stroke trying to read this and died.
I like the first or second sound. Not third.
