I was lucky to meet and enjoy their shows for 20 years before I left my favorite place in this world. Grandpa is gone with the angels, but Stony B is still playing the blues in California.
The last time we visited the French Quarter we spotted Stony B and Grandpa playing on the sidewalk. We enjoyed their music so much that we got an autographed CD that they were selling. We still enjoy listening to the CD.
the Singer goes by the name Stoney B. I recorded this 26 years ago.. these guys were so good I walked to the corner and bought a video ( tape ) camera a couple hours before this recording....glad you enjoy it !
yes, this was before Playing for Change but last November saw Grandpa in the French Quarter on the corner of Touluse and Royal........Stoney was a real showman
@jmack619 Thanks, I hear Stoney B has a blues band in San Diego, Grandpa Elliott still plays in the French Quarter I'm told ....,just returned from New Orleans...... currently he's on tour with "Playing for Change" however They have some great vids... Too bad they split up there were great together
@jmack619 I think Grandpa is touring with "Playing for Change" starting Feb 12 we plan to see them in Ann Arbor, Feb 22 They do make a stop in Ontario If he's not with them he's likely to be in the French Quarter My son found him on Royal St. last Oct
