    Poor SBF! He probably thought all those celebs and politicians really liked him, for his sparkling personality! He had to learn the hard way - when there's a whiff of trouble and/or you are not perceived as super rich anymore you are dropped like a hot potato!

      POOR? You re joking, right? He would have been fine, would have enjoyed a quite doable life with more comfort(s) and richness than many others (and he never lived in poverty to begin with as his parents were well off, making good money) IF ONLY HE WOULD HAVE PLAYED FAIR AND 'BY THE BOOK'.He could have lived tremendously well on a great salary. He would still live a very nice life in freedom, but instead he has stolen over $ 8,000,000,000 (that's eight billion, in other words eight thousand million) stealing that from all people who had entrusted their money to him, in other words his customers!

    Based on some of the discourse online, I'm genuinely wondering if SBF actually cares if he's found guilty.
    As long as in the eyes of his delusion cult fans that the government is just over saturating the prosecution and dog-piling on him... he's seen the victim in this case.
    I'm reading threads where people think the trial isn't televised so they can "do the corruption", as though a trial being televised is the norm.
    I know these people have no idea what they are talking about, but those are the most dangerous people.

    oh wow great chat! I love any journalist who can use the expression 'chuckleheads'. 😂 Every time I see a picture of SBF I think of that judge/prosecutor exchange from Idiocracy: Judge: Why do you think he's guilty? Prosecutor: Well I mean, just look at him.

    Some thoughts guys - Visually it is difficult to have you jump showing one-person to one-person ... The more you keep all THREE of you on screen at the same time the easier it is to digest the conversation visually. All the shifts feel distracting. I often times want to watch the video but I find myself shutting it off and just go to the podcast to avoid the messy switching.

    FTX was similar to MLM's in the sense that the customers/investors became the Venture Capitalist lenders the way the employees become the customers in MLM's. SBF got interest free loans to pay off some of the VC loans so he didn't have to pay high interest to the VC's. When those funds/ loans from customer funds came due with interest, SBF switched them to a non interest accounts.
    Customers were deceived into loaning money for infinite research and experiments. Now we know it was all leading up to customers loaning FTX money to research artificial intelligence. Who cares about AI??? There may be some uses for it here and there but AI and banking don't mix.

    Most crimes are the responsibility of the state where they were committed. So tried in state court. Federal crimes, domestically, mostly (not exclusively) involve something financial. So most inmates in federal prison, are embezzling accountants, stock brokers, and con men selling fake securities. The rapist and murderers are in state prison, mostly. Jesus, don't they teach that in high school anymore !?
    OJ trial was a simple murder case, so state court. The rules of video and cameras, is up to those individual jurisdictions, Sometimes to the specific judge. Federal court, does not allow any cameras, or other recording, other than those done by court paid staff, such as a court stenographer. If you paid attention to Elizabeth Holmes' case, then you would be aware of it.

    • @Once_in_a_Lifetime
      @Once_in_a_Lifetime 10 місяців тому +1

      Sam wasn’t involved in the political circles, his mother brought him and his brother and sister into that. Sam didn’t learn tax law in University, you have to have experience to set this all up. His father set all this up, including setting him up with banks that would be set up to handle crypto with Federal Reserve over-site instead of FDIC. Sam didn’t have time to get all this real world experience. The evil in all this originates from the parents. Thank god that a spotlight will now be focused on the family.

    • @AlbinoMutant
      @AlbinoMutant 10 місяців тому

      @@Once_in_a_Lifetime Oh sure they were involved in a lot of it. As soon as they smelled the money they went full r*tard. Before Sam's campaign finance trial begins his mother will probably be indicted as part of the conspiracy. I'm 90% sure of that. But they weren't aware he was stealing money from customers. We can deduce it from their actions before and during the criminal trial. They encouraged him to fight the charges with everything he and they could scrape together, resulting in what looks to be a colossal mistake. As presumably competent attorneys with connections to the most elite of elite criminal law firms across the country, if they had any inkling of the evidence against him they would have literally forced him to take a plea and cooperate and throw everything and everyone under the bus before they could turn around and do it to him. If they knew anything they would never sit by and watch him roll the dice. Reports throughout the trial concerning the parents are telling. They went from from defiant confidence at the start to slumping in their chairs in the middle, to burying their faces 3/4 through, to literally crying as the prosecution rested its case. It paints an incredibly clear picture of how stupid they really were to believe what Sam was assuring them. They aren't innocent, but I believe they were conned by their son into believing he was incapable of lying about any of it. Parents can be blind sometimes.
