A storm system moving in from the south. A very prominent shelf-cloud was visible, quickly engulfing the city of Rome, New York. Not very much rain, from the weather system. Gusty wind, and cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning, with little rainfall, which stayed to the east and north of the city.
Odd how many storms, seem to go around, or over the city, with little precipitation or damage.
Just remember, when you can hear the thunder, you are already in danger from lightning. Lightning strikes, in fact, can strike you from fifteen miles. And that is before you can hear the thunder.
More storms are forecasted for the next couple days. So...Be prepared.

Well. My parents would say I'm anything but...okay. When filming ominous weather, I always make sure some type of shelter, is close. Be nice if Rome, NY still had a parking garage on North James Street. After-the-tornado, it could have been used for emergency shelter. Oddly, I've noticed no FEMA trailers, for residents who cannot occupy their homes, due to damage.
