I know this is a small detail but as a disabled person it's SO ablist that he tells the story of a woman who's in deep distress for a long time and he knows she's recovered because she's working. Is she happy? Is she functional? Have the hallucinations stopped? This man is so ablist it's disgusting.

So true! I was working for five years, but was getting worse and worse until I ended up in a psychiatric hospital for months. Just because you try to look "normal" on the outside doesn't mean you're well on the inside.
Thank you! I struggle with depression and anxiety every damn day. And those days that are so hard and all I want to do is stay under the covers, I still get up and go to work. It doesn’t make me “happy” or “recovered”. That guy sucks
There have been hundreds of medical studies done by some of the leading researchers in the country including John Hopkins and Harvard. You really should get your head out of the sand and do some research on your own. Common sense is truly a super power.

I used to work for an auction house and at one auction there was a basket of essential oils, including a mix labeled Liquid Valium.
And no, there was no indication of what was in that mix.
Reminds me a lot of taking your “Joy” in We Happy Few. Probably anything named like these are a bad idea, at least when it’s not approved by doctors.
As a mental health professional who is also soon graduating with a master degree in Counseling, I can also confirm that vitamins and minerals will NOT cure mental health disorders. Anti-psychotics, anti-anxiety meds, and mood stabilizers can help with symptoms. Sometimes psychotic symptoms can also stop/go away after a person “ages out” of their disorder once they are an older adult, such as with schizophrenia (I had several clients this happened to.)
But such a disgrace this guy is to claim his product can “fix” symptoms of depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, and ADHD. Absolutely not.

This actually scares the hell out of me. I am diagnosed with MDD and spent a week in inpatient care in 2017 due to an attempt to take my life. I am currently on anti-depressants and have had many years in therapy. I can't imagine being taken off my meds and given this stuff instead.
Hope you are doing better. I can relate; having been in a similar scary place a few times. There are more of us than u might think. :)
I have rMDD and it sucks -- it sucks feeling this way over and over for seemingly no reason, it sucks feeling nothing at all, and it ESPECIALLY sucks when people try to take advantage of us for it. Hope you're as well as you can be today. 🖤
@@s0lastsummer7 It does suck. I have rMDD as well. I am old and have had this for over a decade. If I'm on the right meds, all is pretty good. I have been through some rough patches, but the bad days are fewer and far between. I am fortunate and have a good life. My niece is now dealing with it, too. It does get better!

Yessss I’ve been waiting for this one. One of my best friends was scammed by Q sciences during her worst depressive state. She experienced terrible postpartum depression with her first baby and then got pregnant only months later with her second one. She is still struggling with her postpartum depression today but her experience with Q Sciences made it so much worse
Lowkey I always thought Qsciences was the same as Qanon, or was the overlap between Qanon and Scientology 😂
They both spew a whole lot of bs. They also both spread misinformation that could be very harmful to a persons mental health. Oh and lack an understanding of science. Theres also the potential to end up a lot worse off financially due to involvement with them.
Finally(maybe lol) the people who sign up are prone to delusional thinking plus sadly and often frighteningly gullible. They have a scary habit of turning from 'regular' people into obsessive zombie like creatures.

WOW. I have a son with cerebral palsy and a number of special needs. An acquaintance literally recommended this company to me a few weeks ago. I had never heard of it, and I told her no thanks because we worked with his doctors and therapists on his care plan.
I didn't even think about it being a MLM. I just didn't really think much of it at all, because people frequently think it is their business to play doctor. It's typically best to ignore, but it gets annoying.

Loved this one, Chelsea! I'd never heard of Q Sciences until your videos, and you're right, this one has fascinating rabbit holes.
An MLM that I'm interested in learning more about is Thirty-One. I have a friend that joined that a little while ago and she pushes it hard, even asking once if I'd like to host a Facebook party to get started. Reminds me of Mary Kay's structure from what little I know of it.
The speech the co founder was giving was making me more and more upset by the second until I couldn't take it anymore. Never in my life have I wanted to hurt someone so bad. It's so disturbing to hear him say all that. Ignoring proper care for mental health can absolutely ruin someone's life or take it away, I have lost most of my life to that so it's beyond upsetting to hear this. This is extremely dangerous and bipolar disorder is periodical, during 30 days it can look fine but it can completely change in 3 months time. I am just beyond in disbelief, abolish these horrific systems.
They 100% know that they are scamming people just to make money. It's so hard for me to understand how someone can scan sick people and knowingly risk their health, bipolär disorder as example is very serious.Is the money really worth it if someone dies because of you? Pure evil, if I just had his face in front of me, clearly the laws are not enough to stop him.

The True Hope claims about that supplement regarding mental health conditions were absolutely disgusting and incredibly dangerous. In all honesty, it infuriates me and I’m spreading the word far and wide. I introduced my best friend to the anti-MLM community on UA-cam recently and she’s appalled. She let me know today that she completely purged her social media of all of the “friends” who were taking advantage of her - she literally had NO IDEA that this is how these companies operate, and had fallen victim to many of them. Keep up the great work, Chelsea. We will continue tuning in. And yes! Today I’m wearing my new “Hello, I’m Spicy” t-shirt in purple. I love it and it cracks my husband the hell up.

I was asked to try it and it spiked my anxiety to the point I had a panic attack that lasted 7 days. I stopped using the CBD and my anxiety almost immediately started decreasing
CBD and THC can exasperate anxiety in certain people. My friend can't smoke it or have caffeine. Her anxiety spikes so much she ends up in the emergency department.
@@twistedtea4972 Although I had never really used mini CBD products before trying Q sciences, I never had the experience of anxiety with THC but I have not use that in years either so it was very unsettling and not only that the product tasted disgusting so overall really glad I got away from it..

I think pretty common, it gave me awful anxiety too. I definitely don't think you should play with specially THC without a dictor. I know people who have killed themselves. Though it seems to work grest on other people. Makes me Wonder why some get such anxiety
The fact that this man claims that his children under the age of 18 are diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder tho…Those literally don’t get diagnosed before the age of 18. It’s part of the DSM. What universe is he living in?

Earlier this year my SIL followed her Young Living upline and her entire team over to Q Sciences. She’s at her very first Q Sciences Convention as I type this 😣. She was so excited about it. She has never once tried to sell anything to me, nor tried to recruit me which I appreciate. I just hate that she is working for this company because I can tell how passionate she is about it. Thanks for doing this deep dive. I didn’t really know anything at all about them but she was so incredibly excited to start this “new adventure”. Unlike most huns I see in these videos my SIL is the most humble, kindest sweetheart which is why can’t see her being successful in this, yet she continues to stay in it so maybe she’s doing better than I think.

My SIL did the same thing! She was big into young living then followed her upline to Q Sciences! She messaged me and convinced me to join. I tried a couple products the help give me energy and nothing did what it was marketed to do. I returned everything and got my money back, canceled my ambassador membership and got my money back from that as well. The only thing is, when you email the people to cancel your membership, you have to specify that you want your fee refunded or you won't get your money back!
She started promoting it and trying to recruit people before trying anything herself! I'm like yea, I'm not selling to anyone before I try it myself! And like I said, nothing worked and I wasn't gonna push sales for stuff that did do what it claimed.

Someone from my college invited me to a zoom meeting tonight for a "ground floor opportunity" to "work from home" (which I've already been doing for 2 years and apparently she didn't notice lol). It took going through 4 peoples' Facebooks to even discover the company name. This was a great video, and exactly what I was looking for in terms of material to bring up in the meeting to try and prevent others for falling into this trap. :D

@@coleandrews25 Probably the trap of claiming they have a work from home opportunity for you, when in reality it’s an MLM and not an actual job.
"after going on Prozac for only two weeks, she [committed suicide] as a result of the medication" it takes a minimum of four weeks of consistent consumption for SSRIs to begin to make any legitimate changes to the brain. most reputable psychiatrists will not make changes to an SSRI prescription until you hit at LEAST the 6-8 week mark because anything before that is way too soon to fully see the effects. this is very common knowledge.
edit: another common thing that is important to note is that it is not at all uncommon for suicidality to result from SSRI use. not because SSRIs "break" you, but because they can sometimes lift you out of the "lethargic, staring at a wall for 8 hours" stage of depression, but not lift you far enough to escape the "self-injurious and suicidal" stage of depression. this is also very common knowledge and why close contact with a trusted therapist and loved ones are the first thing that any reputable psychiatric healthcare provider will ensure are in place before starting a new medication.
I wish I knew about you and watched this before I wasted my time joining Q. It was pitched so well to me and as someone who struggles with mental health conditions - it was obviously appealing. Then I realized how expensive it was and how I was making $0 because I don’t recruit. I am a seller and sell products I believe in. I had so much hope for these products that I joined because if y experience was as amazing as everyone else’s that I knew doing Q, I wanted to share and make money. These people KNEW I was not a recruiter but left out that there was no way to make money unless I recruit. They recently added a plan where you can make money without recruiting but I can’t sell the products because I haven’t had this life changing experience that was pitched to me. I actually was wanting to wean off of my anxiety meds but in the process of doing that and trying some Q products, I didn’t notice a damn thing other than the fact that my medicine actually worked more than I realized so I’m going back in them. Anyway - I’m so annoyed with myself and am thankful I found you so I don’t fall into this crap again. I am part of another MLM and had a bad experience with my upline but the products have actually made changes that I can see and feel, but I’ve backed off of pushing it and just stick with my returning customers and figure an extra $200-$250 a month is nice. I just had to realize I wasn’t getting rich because recruiting is icky to me.

Worsening of depression and even suicidal tendencies are known side effects when starting a medical therapy. That's why it is so important to closely monitor the initial period and maybe even do it in a clinical setting. It doesn't mean medication is bad in general, you might just need to switch to a different one and most side effects subside after a while. Antidepressants have saved my life several times, in fact they do so every single day.
This co-founder is so ignorant. This is a slap in the face to all medical science. Psychiatric and mental health disorders are a constant battle that requires adherence to medication and therapy, which varies from person to person. Medications can take 4-6 weeks to reach full effect. And to think people who aren’t licensed professionals are perpetuating this MLM is baffling.

Yup. I remember starting meds for MDD and GAD and it was the worst couple weeks of my life. Everything was jacked up to the max, but now I’m in a good place.

Ugh as someone with Bipolar 1 that man made me really angry. Firstly, whichever doctor put someone with Bipolar on Prozac is so in the wrong. Anti Depressants alone should NEVER be used in Bipolar or suspected Bipolar. Also, I hate hate hate taking the meds I take but I know what happens when I don't (generally sectioned in hosp with mania) but would I swap those meds for some MLM pills...erm it's a hard no from me!
As a person with a disability and a mental health professional there are so many things wrong here!

They think this is something new and exciting and don't understand just how very unlikely and hard it is to achieve profitability, and after all the hours they will contribute, they will essentially be working for a minimum wage. It’s heartbreaking that people who are looking for a solution to something they are dealing with get sucked into these things.
This is so frustrating. Yes, nutrition is crucial to health, including mental health. Just as a good sleep habit aids your functioning, as does fresh air and exercise. And a supplement can be useful because many people with mental health problems also have executive problems due to the aforementioned problems. Meaning they can't always get all their nutrition from their food, and a supplement boosts that and can help maintain stability. But lifestyle improvements are to be used next to treatment, not replace them. You want both, you can have both. And get your supplements from reputable sources, don't overpay for crappy, low-absorption pills you pee out anyway.

These supplements and their claims are so scary. Mental illness is so serious and needs to be treated properly by professionals. It's hard to imagine all of the individuals who took these supplements and ended up worse due to ineffective treatment.

Q science has swept through my island home of Guam 🇬🇺 and it’s very tragic. I see so many People hopping on the bandwagon and it’s getting nuts. I grew up in the Amway era when my parents got really into it in the 90’s and since seeing how destructive it can be I always watch out for companies like that. I’ve seen countless MLM pyramid schemes become so big here in the place I live that I roll my eyes when a new one comes up . I can smell them a mile away. I’m glad I took mental notes as a child that now I know
Immediately when I see one coming up. Young living oils, Lipscense, Monat, beach body, avon, Mary kay, lemongrass skin spa, Melaluca & many others . I just can’t even believe people still get crazy about joining these companies after years of seeing others become mega hype and then fail . Idk when people will learn. I pray more will see the real life damages these MLM’s do. THANK YOU for these videos !!! Q Science is most definitely a terrible pyramid scheme. So so sad.
I grew up with my parents in Amway and feel like my childhood was stolen from me. The only time our family went on trips was for Amway conventions and me and my siblings literally stayed in the hotel room the whole time watching tv. My parents wasted so much time and Money in the stupid business that we barely did anything as a family. They’re so cult like it makes me sick and they prey on well meaning moms mostly who want to be at home with their kids. Sad stuff.
