@@offgridislandfamily SUPER KUDOS this video. (!!!) Really like your videos of this caliber. Shows actual life with rural business owners. Great homestead updates, native business transactions discount reminders, tools' quality considerations, etc., all-in-all super great for "life in the Philippines." This is an excellent example of the type of video I appreciate 100% for viewing what living in ANY country would be like for me. Thanks Aaron. Bob (Xavier Koolat)
I have a battery power grinder that I bought for the Phil’s. It is 110v, but I use a transformer. The current draw to charge a battery is much easier on your limited solar system. I also bought battery hammer drill which is a must for the Philippines.
Wow ! Truly enjoyed watching & learning ! Great channel for getting the feel of the area & people there. Almost like you actually there , you taking us step by step of day activities or projects. From the start at the house to being at the stores & along the way; very entertaining !. And seeing each stage of the addition to the house is great . Also capturing detail scenes of items prices or like the scene how they cut those post with chainsaw. That was amazing ! I would never ever thought you could done that & keep it straight. Also taking time showing things and animals around the property. I could go on and on of liking this video. What a true adventure of detailed factual way of life there. As a diary or a documentary ! Good Job Aaron & Family !! 👌👍💯🤗🙏
Thanks Ted...you've verbalized the goal of this channel. Spot on...National Geographic on video? Hehehehe! Thank you! I didn't even intend to do this video, but thought...hmm...why not? And I think I had more fun doing this video than when I plan to. Cheers! Thank you so much for the continued moral support!
Thanks Aaron I enjoyed this. Good gear lasts and is worth the extra. Ray has everything sorted in his head, (much like my grandfather) not having plan drawings etc. is hard for westerners to understand, but it works.
Yes...I just showed my father, who has lots of building experience, by video and he was confident in Ray's building skills...even if nothing is really planned out. ;-) Both my grandfathers built their houses...NICE houses.
Nice grinder! Definitely one of my favorite tools. Mine cheap Chinese. Real box much more expensive oi! House coming along nicely. Love the island blue color.
Thanks for the video. With the angle grinder Bosch tools good brand I think your one is handyman class. Often they are green color. However reasonably durable. Most bosch use 7/8 arbour (22.5mm) however yours could be 5/8 (16.5mm) I'm assuming yours is 4inch (100mm) I have a china made grinder it takes the bosch 125mm or 5 inch cutting disk and in Cebu difficult to obtain. Love your timber supply yard.
Thank YOU for the feedback! Yes...Bosch made distributors for the first VW Beetles and Porsches. Even if 'handyman' class it's a million times better than the you-know-what stuff that is usually found here. Thank you again!

The plan is so sketchy that there is no plan. The room / house we are in now was going to be the garage. But it became a part of the family. My wife painted the walls and such. Now it will be a bedroom when the main house is done. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
@@offgridislandfamily They wait for you to add their seed phrase to your wallet. It will probably have a small amount of money in it, but no ETH for gas, so you can't transfer it. You send your ETH to the wallet with the intention of transferring the funds, but then the wallet gets instantly drained by the bot and steals your ETH. It's a fairly standard scam and the poster is most likely a bot. I highly recommend avoiding them.
@stb-pk1fs Thanks for that. Yes...had no intention of acting. We get so many of these that I just wanted to know how it worked, which you very well explained. Thank you!
I see what's happening here.. Locals that he has under his employ and paid can give him a heads up. However, Heads up is the local community... Not the southern Islands.. He is messing around with issues that can cause hm problems.. BARBIE is not a view or show I would like to give if I have a lot of money to build a structure between two Kubo's. Dangerous times...
I love those videos when you're doing construction with Ray he seems to know a lot i could relate cause i built a house myself like that
Both my grandfathers built their own beautiful homes. Yes...clearly we trust Ray's skills.

YEP! I found some amazing old school power tools at US garage sales forgetting that they are 110v. Then bought an inverter that works ok.

YES. Exactly. Major blessing.

Thank you my man! Yes...it's coming along. Never a long term good idea to buy cheap...in ANYTHING. LOL!
ABSOLUTELY. 👍👍🇺🇸
GREAT JOB!
Check the attached label for country of manufacture. It will show voltage and wattage as well.
Yes...710w...quite a bit if running a lot.
I built my house over seas in the dominican republic some of the things look similar cheap chinese tools same like in DR
Exactly! For the price they can get you by, but not in the long run.

I couldn't agree more. Very well said!
You can get concrete mixer gas or electric. The one I used for my house was gas.
yeah...could. They are around, but they know what they are doing.
You should ask him about that waist with the chainsaw make awesome bedding for your chickens
That is a terrific idea! I'm seriously going to ask what he does with the remnants.
@@offgridislandfamily great for the nesting boxes as well if you use them.
Ask them for the woodchips. Take them home for the Pigsty and Chicken coop.
Totally right. Need to look into this.
It looked like the guy was buying liquor at the hardware store? Lol
Last time they were selling LIVE fish at this place! LOL And always women working at hardware stores. Nothing derogatory about that, but just a fact.
Man, love your vids... Did you really plan this out? The plan seems a little sketchy...any drawings?

That's how it works in the Philippines. You dig your foundations to the size you want then fill in the rest with materials until you have a house. 😀
2 bucks for a mahogany 4x4 wowww.

Lovely, positive and constructive comment. Thanks!
Another question that all of you don't question.. Is Elliot Eastman's wife pregnant?
I have absolutely NO CLUE who Elliot Eastman is. Sorry.
Personally... Concentrate on REAL FARMING.. Not going to CEBU and spending.. Not making your wife a Barbie Doll
I have ZERO input to how my wife dresses other than giving an opinion between TWO things she is considering buying. Otherwise, I stay out of it.
