There are a few places on earth that just "being there" is enough. London is definitely at the top of the list. I used to spend hours just wandering around the city and enjoyed every minute of it.
I don't know what I enjoyed more the actual tour or the sound of rain hitting your umbrella. So tranquil, the tour was, of course, lovely as you took time to stop and let us digest it all. It's been over 40 years since I visited the Tower in person so this was nice for me thank you so much 🙏🏻
I was there 8/2019 with my sister-in-law. It was a sunny blue sky day! I had the most glorious vacation - 4 days in London and 3 in Edinburgh. Our days were filled with historic sites, the weather was fine. We stayed at the Stafford in St James St. Great location and lovely small hotel, pricey but worth it to me. In Edinburgh we stayed at the Parliament House Hotel and it was also a great location and I highly recommend it. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Everyplace and excursion we took was a delight! I could have easily stayed for another few weeks! Love from NJ USA
Hi Robert - maaaaaan you Edinburgh is one of my favourite places in the world . I bet you had the holidays of your life ! London and Edinburgh are waaaaaaaaay much interesting cities
I used to work in St James St. At the bottom of the road is St James' Palace, and a window you can see, behind the railings, is where Princess Diana was laid before her funeral took place.
So cool, so much history there its unbelievable. I went there once and years later found out i'd had an ancestor, not running things of course, but imprisoned and died there. (Gotta love those outlaw types.. figures my fam had those, rather than royals.) If i'd have known i would have asked a guide to show me the rooms, etc but had no idea. I came back to the states and thought, "Wow, no castles, no cathedrals, no thousand year old anything here." Except the awesome cliff dwellings in the southwest of course. The trip made me realize just how "new" America is. Thx for sharing this video, loved seeing it.
I am only 5 minutes into this video but I am thoroughly enjoying how you get close up details of things like wood posts, wallpaper (?), bricks, etc. Thank you for those details. It's transportive, I love the details! We here in the states are reading "An Island Story" as one of our history books in homeschool, and being able to see what we read about is just absolutely fascinating. Thanks so much for this. God bless you
Awesome, thanks for uploading this. This is what I love about the internet. Stuck in Pa usa. But able to tour the tower. Still want to get there in person but this will do for now. Thanks 👍
Thank you so much for this tour!! It's always been my dream to go to England and see the tower of London. I have a deep passion for historic buildings and the energy behind each wall. Watching this made my heart buzz with excitement for the future!
If you do get there some day, go to the royal palaces website. I've been to half of them now over my two trips to London. You can do Hampton Court in one day. It's about a 45 minute(?) train ride out there. It's the end of the line of that particular rail line, so you won't have to worry about missing the stop! I stayed overnight because I went there for a concert that was in the courtyard and didn't want to take the late train back, just spent the night at a beautiful boutique hotel across the street, and I mean, across the street! Lovely little town, East Molesey.
Thank you ! Love your walks I will never get tired of seeing London and the areas around. The history of the city blows me away. Thanks from Chicago ( snowing like crazy at present)
Amazingly steady-cam footage, and on such a dreary, wet and windy day! Even though I live just 50 miles outside London I haven't been in so many years now due to such historic places not catering to disabled people with limited mobility. The structure of the buildings at this iconic royal palace does not lend itself to being disabled friendly, this I understand. But it's a shame because so many of us are unable to visit. Thank you very much for taking us around this remarkable venue.
Nice tour. Brought back memories of my visit there in 2016. Sorry to see Beauchamp Tower was not open. Lots connected to Anne Boleyn and Lady Jane there.
Very much enjoyed! Thank you. As i will never see the inside due to physical limitations this was the next best thing . Much appreciated from Canada. 🏴

Hi there LADmob, I understand this video was uploaded about 1 month ago. You went to the tower of London during the day on a normal tour and there were this few people? It almost looks like your on a private tour.
I’ve actually been here an I love looking round the Tower of London , it’s like having the tour all over again and Traitors gate and the garden where Ann Boleyn had her head decapitated. Was my fav bit , would love to spend a night in there ❤️
You are so lucky to live in Britain. Love its history and most of all the castles. Loved everything, and yes, I watched the whole video. Loved that it was raining. I pictured the people of those times walking around the castle in their interesting clothes. I find those times so interesting. Wished that I lived there, UK is so Beautiful. There is nothing like that here in the US. To me, US history is boring compare to British history, and sadly, no castles.
England is beautiful and not only London, every part of this country got some nice and historical places ( i love this kind of places ) One day if you cross the pond to UK i can make a itinerary for you what to visit and stuffs like :)
@@LADmob I did experience some of the beauty when I lived in Holland for 3 years in the early 90's. I was able to visit Germany, Paris, and London for only a week, but I loved it, I wish than I would have moved to England. It has everything I Love and my children who were very young at the time, would have had British accents.😞Thank you so much.😊
Nice to see as you all are on tour wearing mask but too far of a distance you will get lost from group so by all means keep up,do not get lost there,it would be a dreadful experience!?🤔😣🙂
P.S....another thought...it is too bad that the memorial to Ann Boleyn's execution, is incorrectly marked. I suspect it was erected in an area that would not become congested. Still, it is wrong
For a minute there thought you did not have an umbrella!! In the UK you always need umbrellas, raincoat, trenchcoat, poncho, they are very huge island that get lots of rain often at any given, every day preparations, thats why hot drinks a must to have, just like soups, stews, casseroles too!!! Its a beautiful tower, there should not ever been overly fat people, walking there was living daily exercise workout,my goodness gracious!!!!
i bet there has been a lot of horror inside those walls, the poor children and women that have suffered and murdered by the wealthy of the world, they have and will pay for what they have done

I’ve actually been here an I love looking round the Tower of London , it’s like having the tour all over again and Traitors gate and the garden where Ann Boleyn had her head decapitated. Was my fav bit , would love to spend a night in there ❤️
Hi Lisa -- do you realise that place is haunted ?!?!?! -- OMG to spend a night there , neveeeeeeer hahahha
@@LADmob just one night I would love it
Come to india.thrrr is more history

Thank you so much.
Much appreciated xx
It has everything I Love and my children who were very young at the time, would have had British accents.😞Thank you so much.😊
Selfish English people
From India
@@anuragdhawan8885 what's wrong with you man ?
Nice to see as you all are on tour wearing mask but too far of a distance you will get lost from group so by all means keep up,do not get lost there,it would be a dreadful experience!?🤔😣🙂
is a small place , quite impossible to get lost haha
Looks like Merlina, one of the Tower ravens. I think she has a pink band on one leg.
I cought on camera 2 ravens , sorry but I dont know nothing about them ...
Wow! This is nice.,
Cheera
P.S....another thought...it is too bad that the memorial to Ann Boleyn's execution, is incorrectly marked. I suspect it was erected in an area that would not become congested. Still, it is wrong
i dont know what to say Stephanie :) sorry
Then I realize that my fear of crazy steps might be an issue ooops 😱
For a minute there thought you did not have an umbrella!! In the UK you always need umbrellas, raincoat, trenchcoat, poncho, they are very huge island that get lots of rain often at any given, every day preparations, thats why hot drinks a must to have, just like soups, stews, casseroles too!!! Its a beautiful tower, there should not ever been overly fat people, walking there was living daily exercise workout,my goodness gracious!!!!
👍👍😎
i bet there has been a lot of horror inside those walls, the poor children and women that have suffered and murdered by the wealthy of the world, they have and will pay for what they have done
Museums are the best
got a few more to go :)
Wish I had been there.
one day you will :)
I have the sound all the way up and can’t hear a word she is saying. The music definitely doesn’t help
ohh im sorry for the poor sound, thats why gopro aren't the best in sound recording
