My dad used to own a video rental place back in the late 1970s/early 1980s. This place probably had records of all equipment via the serial numbers. My dad did the same thing. Given equipment back then was big and bulky (just to video tape you carried a small VHS machine in a shoulder bag) and didn't really shrink down until 2000s...
Weirdest thing in that clip was the officer put the suspect in the front seat of the cruiser. Even if he's not dangerous, I have NEVER seen that before.
