Agree. Honestly, I spent so much money at Sephora and Ulta the past two years, I could have invested that money in bonds or stock (which is what I’m doing this year). I have so many cream and powder blushes that I don’t wear it’s embarrassing. No more.
@gingerchipper don't forget you can lose money in the stock market. I have been trading stocks for years & these past few years has been a very wild ride so be careful
That’s what I do. I pick all things that I think I want and if I really really want it in a week or two up but most of the time it’s impulse of buying.
I love statement jewelry. I know that is my line of work statement jewelry is a terrible idea (for safety reasons). Same for heels...or really any cute shoe.
i feel like Fantasy You is removing her blazer at the end of a work day and transforming into a smokey-eyed happy hour goddess. (Is she hurredly smoking out her existing daytime makeup in the office bathroom?)
You can! Maybe not black but a brown or taupe pencil slightly smoked out with some powder should give you a very delicate smokey eye effect. Brown mascara is also softer than black. But to be honest my fantasy self always wears a dark brown or red lip, and then I just apply pink gloss and call it a day 😂
I bought skincare backups during Black Friday because I only use these products and know how long they last. It works for me because I don’t try new skincare products.
I’m not against backups for the products I consistently use and repurchase. If they are on sale (especially if those products don’t usually go on sale). I just have to be realistic with myself and consider if the discount is worth the larger purchase. It’s a bit of a (rough) exercise in time value of money.
@@booboott1756 I'm also not that cut and dry about backups cause I think there can be a great saving of time and money in them plus comfort in knowing you won't run out of your staple. However they only make sense if someone truly is not experimenting at all in said category plus does not overdo it storing way too many at a time.
To be fair, hot soup tends to explode in a regular blender. If you use an immersion blender, you can start it on a low setting and it’s much less likely to make a giant mess or burn you.
Yep, I exploded my blender with hot fish curry once and it was not pleasant. I gotta disagree with Kelly here - an immersion blender is so useful for soup!
I'm about to age myself, but back when I was younger, I feel like a lot of the gurus were more about technique than product, and I really miss it. I think it would help a lot with no. 1
I agree! Kandee Johnson used to just say “use a product like this” and didn’t insist using the exact thing. BUT that was before linking products and getting a commission. I think I’ll go watch some of her tutorials - even though she was in her 20’s and now I’m almost 50… 🤪
I def agree with your point on dupes. So often I fell into the hole of wanting ti find a dupe, but I ended up with surplus products that just werent perfect and wouldve been less wasteful just to get the original product
LOL I agree with 99% of the video but an immersion blender is so great!! Scooping/pouring scalding hot soup into a plastic blender isn’t an ideal situation.
YES! An immersion blender is one of the best kitchen gadgets to have. Especially if it's one that comes with the extra pieces like the whisk attachment or the mini processor.
lol, I came to say this! Many people don't know that you actually need to cool your soup if you're using a regular blender because the steam creates a dangerous pressure effect once you put on the airtight lid to blend. If you cook regularly and are making soups and sauces an immersion blender is actually a great investment and they don't really cost that much to get started.
Haha, that’s the thing in this video that stood out to me too! An immersion blender is worth it if you’re often making soup. Take that money you’re saving on cosmetics and treat yourself, Kelly! ❤
When Kelly mentioned the Ulta & Sephora sales I was totally there. I bought a Nudestix trio at Ulta's sale last year and I almost never wear it. Then I did it again this year with the Stila liquid eyeshadow-I think I've worn it twice. Not going to pay attention to the sales anymore.
I like to buy backups for beauty items I replace frequently, like mascara. This is because I love a deal, so I only buy on sale. But I've gotten in trouble buying backups of things that take me longer to use up like foundation or lipstick.
I think about your Red Blouse analogy all the time! I buy one thing I love and then I buy more similar things with decreasing return. Trying to remember to enjoy the one I love not get another almost identical one!
Deleting the shopping apps off your phone is really the #1 bit of advice on this video. I started doing it and I had apps I didn’t even realize lurking. And some of them I know I’ve boredom-browsed myself into dumb impulse purchases.
A good immersion blender is actually a good investment for your kitchen if you make a lot of soups or sauces. Not only is it convenient to blend right in the pot but scooping hot liquids into a blender can be a recipe for disaster. I just made a big crockpot of split pea soup and there’s no way I could have scooped even half of it into a blender.
I have an immersion blender that came with a regular blender kind of pot that I can also use by attaching the blender handle to it and guess what I never use it. I only use it as an immersion blender. Cleaning the blender pot is a nightmare.
I love my immersion blender, but I also don't own a regular blender. I just have a little food processor so the immersion blender fills a gap without taking up a lot of space. I commend Kelly for making do with what she has though, especially if she wouldn't use the blender/immersion blender very often.
I asked for my main go-to makeup routine essentials for Christmas so I don’t have to buy them! If I run out, I’m only allowing myself to buy those specific items because I don’t need anything else
I'm definitely no-buy 2025! I have SO MUCH MAKEUP and really don't need another eyeshadow palette, another foundation, another moisturizer, another shampoo, another blush or bronzer.....what I really need is to save my money, pay off my car, and invest!
Not to negatively influence you, but my immersion blender is my most used kitchen gadget, way above my regular blender and even my KitchenAid 😅 I am cooking for a family of six though, so ymmv.
Impeccable timing as I just told myself no buying in 2025 I have plenty💕 just unfollowed a ton of influencers that are constantly selling things to me. Love to see it
I have a large nail polish collection(about 300) and it’s easy to fall into that “hole in my collection” trap. I don’t wear a lot of red polish so I’ve learned to not buy tons of reds. It took me a surprising amount of time to realize I didn’t need a ton of reds. Kinda silly but it’s easy to fall into that. The good news is I love giving away polishes so I’ve been able to declutter some reds to people who are very happy to have them!
Guilty of fantasy self purchasing. I've lost track of how many times I've tried to buy the perfect one-and-done eyeshadow. I'm never satisfied because at the end of the day I prefer no eyeshadow or colorful/dramatic eyeshadow.
The phone vs computer shopping was so interesting to hear about! I LOATHE buying things on my phone (and dislike most shopping apps as a whole). To me, a computer feels more secure. This is probably in part due to my poor eyesight, especially since my phone is so small. But also, I've got one of those computer browser extensions that suggests coupons, and apps don't have that. If I know that something I want is discounted specifically on an app (like ulta), I'll put it in my shopping cart on the computer and see if there are any coupons. After I check that, THEN I'll actually buy it on the app.
IMO dupes for mascara and blush are almost essential because they need to be replaced so often. This is one of the reasons I only buy drugstore mascara.
Re: #9 “never buy on sale what you wouldn’t buy full price” is a little outside of my income bracket 😅 very often there ARE items I’d buy if they weren’t so darn expensive, so I’d NEVER spend full price. I rarely buy higher end makeup even on sale because even then it’s just too much for a “maybe” product. But for clothing, housewares, etc …. You better believe I am waiting for sales, because I can get nicer items than usual, at a price point that makes sense for me 😊
The perfect video to start the year. One other thing I’m doing this year is making a “wants list” and only purchasing something if it’s been on the list for 90 days. If it makes it on the list for that long I know it’s something I actually want and not an impulse buy.
Theres an app called Karma for this. It lets you create lists and I add things in there with direct link to items. Its perfect to then revisit and clear out items you no longer want or go ahead and buy them. It also notifies you if it goes on sale!
I think we often pick up our phones out of boredom, like when riding the train or waiting for an appointment. It’s so easy to see a sale notification, make a couple clicks in the app and spend $$$ we didn’t need to spend. I’m so guilty! 💸 I try to keep a book with me to keep me from browsing on my phone.
I don’t buy makeup backups except for brow and mascara products because I do go through them. But skin care I do because I use the same thing over and over ❤
I am also attempting the no buy in 2025 trend. I have more than enough makeup and skincare to last me the whole year. Many things not even opened yet and still with good dates. I will still receive the Walmart Beauty box quarterly, though, bc it is inexpensive and it is a subscription that my granddaughter (15 yrs old) and I share. She looks forward to it too 😊 I just let her have whatever she wants from the box and keep the rest. It’s always a nice surprise when it comes bc we usually forget about it. Anyway, I think this was a great list of 10 things to be mindful of, to do, or not do. Tyfs with us! Always looking forward to your next video 😊 Have a very happy and healthy New Year! Hugs 💖🥳🎉🎆
Recommendation for you is the Essence long lasting twist up eyeliner in Hot Chocolate. You and I have been on similar quests for mascaras/eye products that are actually clearly brown, not black-brown, and this one is such a nice option. It clearly reads as brown in my waterline, it defines while being much softer than a typical deep/cool brown.
The best thing I did to lower my consumption and be more mindful with my purchases in 2024 was to unfollow/stop engaging with any content that gave me any desire to make a purchase. It took a lot of self reflection but I realized most times it’s at no fault of the creator, simply watching a perfected snapshot of their life made me want to recreate that for myself. In hindsight I realize how silly that was since no one product can truly change your life and theirs is not better than mine just because they own something I don’t.
I am very guilty of making soup with a potato masher because I didn't have any sort of blender, you can get very creative when you try to work with what you have!
Thank you so much for this video. You are so right on the things you say... I found myself wanting to buy the "new" urbay decay naked palette but, as you said, it's something that we already have in different formats (like the ND palettes that I own...)...so...why waste the money when I can (and should) just shop my stash... again, thank you for making me think better over this purchase
Im on replacement only low buy/product specific no buy this year. I have so much i doubt ill be replacing many things, and i am absolutley not buying any more blush or lippies for at least 6 months. I bought way more than im comfortable with last year. I want to save money and enjoy my collection without getting distracted by constant newness.
I love and am soooo grateful for you saying all of this so clearly and consistently. We’re so oversaturated with influencers telling us a new release is life changing, and your videos are like an inoculation against that. You always give it to us straight (while a lot of people only claim to), and that’s so important.
Can absolutely attest to deleting the apps off my phone (and also social media I want to use less) works! I have to consciously log in and it makes it way less likely I will do so.
Happy New Year Kelly, i love your realistic show, cutting through some of the rubbish that is plugged not only by companies, but too many of the influencers who are bought off/sold out. 😢
Thank you for this video Kelly! I totally agree about backups and buying stuff for the sake of it going on sale!! Those are my traps! Also, I gotta add "stop buying more blushes" on my list.
The only time I buy backups is my holy grail night cream that I can only get from Korea and it takes like a month to get here, and I don’t want to run out of it and have to wait a month. And I’ve tried to find something else to use instead and none have replaced my fav
@ @ the pyunkang yul ato blue label cream (dark blue tube)!! They used to sell it on amazon and now I have to go through Stylevana! So cosmetically elegant, thick, and great for dry skin!
Kelly THANK YOU for this video. I am watching the section about ‘’miracle products” and this is really ringing true for me. I’ve realized the products I truly value are the ones that ALWAYS look good. Like, why would I not want to wear my favorite products all the time??? The only foundation I’ve had a WOW factor with was Tirtir… I think because it was the fullest coverage I’d tried up to that point.
Thank you so much for this video, Kelly! Number 10 made me open my eyes on how easily I spend money on a few games that I play on my phone. I also have them on PS5, but it’s such a chore to buy something through that, where you have to link your account to your card instead of just using Apple Pay. I’m definitely deleting those games from my phone! You have no idea how much your video helped me!
this + your deep dives are exactly what i subbed for, love this! ty kelly. i love that this has become more of a conversation. kind of worried that the threat of tariffs will encourage stockpiling, so it’s a nice reminder to be realistic about how you go about it.
I found out I’m getting laid off in about a week, so I’m definitely trying to not buy this year. 😢 Good news is I already have more than enough makeup, so I’m going to focus on using what I have already.
The dupe point is SO SO SO TRUE. I've tried (on store) several dupes for perfumes that I like that simply DOESNT WORK as the original! If I had bought all of them I would be SO MAD.
Love these practical recommendations and underlying message that one needs to know oneself to know what works for you and what is not worth buying. Just a note, the title now says ‘NOT TO to’.
Full agree about dupes!! I spent so much money and rarely used products trying to find a black honey dupe until I realized I'd more than paid for one in dupes. Picked it up on sale and never looked back haha
After a year of not buying anything I splurged yesterday on Douglas sale for a perfume I wanted for 2 years, hair care I haven’t bought in a while, and necessary couple of things i ran out of. My idea is to have a shopping list of things I have gone through and need them and see if they are on sale in sephora or douglas. So far working great for me. I haven’t even looked at clothing sales- And it wasn’t on purpose, I think I am simply fed up with everything lol.
i removed all credit cards off of my phone. i only keep my debit card because if i can’t afford for the money to come out of my account at that moment, i don’t need it.
Kelly! Your tip about mixing foundation with a moisturizer to create a tinted moisturizer changed my life 😆 why did i not think of this before? it's so obvious! I can now use up my expensive foundation that i don't use because it's full coverage and i didn't need it! This will allow me to enjoy the products that i already have!
I’ve only purchased one backup in my life. Natasha Denona’s I Need a Nude Palette. Love it so much I wanted to make sure I had backup, just in case. And that’s it! Weird but true
another great example of the first one is clothes, if u want to recreate outfits from a certain show or celebrity you don't have to buy their entire wardrobe
Thanks for sharing these great points! Regarding buying items that are on sale, I have had a few bad experiences with specific products that were on sale and that turned out to be expired. So I have become more careful about that and try to focus on site wide sales or whole product line sales, to try to avoid this problem.
I buy backups of skincare staples when there’s a sale. When I say “staples” I mean products I know I’m going to be repurchasing anyway. I used to struggle with “fantasy self” purchases, but now that I’m poor I have to be a lot more mindful of my beauty purchases lol
I stopped buying eyeshadow palettes pre-pandemic. I went thru the colorful eyeshadow phase back in 2017-18. I decluttered most of those experiments lol. I only wore matte brown eyeshadow forever & wanted to push my creatvity. I do wear shimmers now (& duochromes & multichromes) but I'm still a basic neutrals girl. Browns, nudes, mauves, purples. When I wear a color (green, blue or purple) it is soft & shimmery & worn with a neutral matte eye. So anymore, if I want COLOR, I just buy a single in the shade that attracts me & wear it with the neutrals I already have. I'm fine with all the neutral shades I already have & don't need more, especially if it's a 16 pan palette. Whatever happened to quads or quints? Everything else only gets replaced as needed (used up or expired)
Yesterday was the last day of Natasha Denona’s sale on her website. I was tempted to buy “I Need a Nude,” because everyone and their mother loves it. I watched a few reviews on UA-cam and realized I probably have those colors/color story a few times over. Plus, I just got Huda’s “Pretty Grunge” palette over Black Friday week, haven’t used it yet, and I prefer Huda’s eyeshadow formula over Natasha’s (hot take?). So I ultimately decided not to buy “I Need a Nude.” Thanks, Kelly, for the reminder to use what we have and be more mindful of our consumption! Happy New Year! 🎉
This was some really good advice. I’m glad you made this video and did that, because everything you said makes so much sense. I hope we can all show some restraint for each of ourselves, and make ourselves more happy by doing so by following these basic common sense rules that we should implement in our lives on a day-to-day basis.🙂
Great video Kelly! I’m guilty of several of these things including buying backups of things I think will be discontinued and every shade of products I like. I am also a sucker for Ulta gifts with purchase. I never use my Dyson Airwrap. Went back to my flat iron. So much faster and easier
Absolutely love your content in 2024. I was an extremely low buy in 2024 because I was trying to finish things I bought in 2022 and 2023, and I am still trying to go through my stash. The ones that I really do go through is eyebrow pencil, mascara and eyeliner. Lippies and face products TAKE forever to finish!
The last 2 times I’ve been at Ulta, I’ve ended up putting items back on the shelf after 30-45 minutes of shopping, and leaving with more carefully curated purchases.
I am so shocked how much stuff people buy… There has been a craze about blushes what I noticed… I have never completely used up a blush completely. I always felt guilty buying stuff that I already have, even if that thing is old and bad… I have never used up a eyeshadow pallete completely. Never have used up a bronzer completely. Never used up a highlighter pallete completely. I never have really been buying a lot of stuff but when I showed my mother those “makeup routines” with million products and underblushing and underpainting she did not believe me people actually aspire to do that. People constantly buy stuff that they do not really want. Like you said about curling irons, every person has their preferences. When i used a heatless curler my hair looked like shit its like a big roller that is not as good as classic hair rollers. Same thing is with those “multitools”. I have only used a single attachment out of 12 … They just dont work good… I hope everyone does good on their no buy 2025!
These are fantastic recommendations...as many of them I have realized over the years. Especially buying makeup on sale! I will most likely be decluttering it in the end. I have also become more of a minimalist when it comes to any kind of gadget, skincare, kitchen etc. I most likely will never use them. Now I will buy backups for skincare products that I have been using for years, and I know I will use them. But I have also bought backups for makeup that end up expiring before I get to use them. Great video!!
Kelly you are so naturally pretty and fresh faced! Your hair is so beautiful and natural looking too! So refreshing to see this on the internet! You are a great role model for the young generation!
Thank you sooooo much for this video!!!! I thought I was the only one with these problems and these are the exact pep talks I tell myself to stop the buying of unnecessary stuff!
All of these tips are SO GOOD thanks for helping me cross some things off of the wishlist! My fantasy self wants a cool tone eyeshadow palette... But how often am I really pulling out the eyeshadow palettes I already have?? My fantasy self also purchased a multi-pack of false lashes, when I've only worn them on Halloween and for a theme party 😂
The point about backups is so, so good. I'm realizing that I even get backups for products in the same skincare category even when I'm nowhere near done with my current product. I basically have 2 different facial moisturizers on standby as I finish the one I'm currently using. Clearly, I'm influenced way too much and "losing" at the VIB sales.
For me my buying habits have definitely been influenced by the "status" level upgrades on my accounts. The 2 main culprits being Ulta and Sephora. I actually let my Ulta account degrade this year from Diamond to MEMBER status. **gasp** And my Sephora account is still VIB but I'm no longer Rouge. The number of "free" items I've gotten from jumbo grab bags etc. ARE STILL SITTING ON MY SHELVES!! I haven't even gotten through 25% of everything I've gotten free in 2024.
Haha I needed to hear the one about backups! I found a bottle of limited edition nail polish for a good price on ebay, I already have a bottle of it and I love it but man the FOMO was gnawing at me today. I told myself I'd get it if it was still available by the time I finished work, but it had sold. Good! I don't need the backup, there will be an equally beautiful shade out there to replace it with - *when I finish it*, and not before.
I bought hair and body backups during Black Friday since they're my favorite brands plus, with the ones made outside the US; I'm worried that the prices of those items will go up a significant amount in the near future. As far as makeup goes, the only products I see myself needing to buy in the next year are setting spray and gripping primer. I have PLENTY of everything else, especially for someone who works from home 3/4 of the time.
I'm going to say this to you: if you make a lot of soups, sauces, etc., an immersion blender is the best tool to have in your kitchen. Hot soup being scooped into a bleder is not only messy but can explode out the top if you fill too full and/or forget to put your hand firmly on the top. Just saying.... I love my immersion blender!
Just bought 3 of my much loved, daily used, cleansing balms because they were on a time limited 3 for 2 offer! That’s me sorted for at least 4 months 😊
Watch part 2 here: ua-cam.com/video/b7TcEWYY-ZQ/v-deo.htmlsi=-Jb1zu-WSdXs9_tj
So happy that a lot of people are talking about not buying things in 2025
Amen!
I'm still all for thrifting things at a good price, free groups etc. Finding ways to recycle ♻️ rather than continue with overconsumption.
Agree. Honestly, I spent so much money at Sephora and Ulta the past two years, I could have invested that money in bonds or stock (which is what I’m doing this year). I have so many cream and powder blushes that I don’t wear it’s embarrassing. No more.
same, i thought i would be one of the few lol, so happy to hear
@gingerchipper don't forget you can lose money in the stock market. I have been trading stocks for years & these past few years has been a very wild ride so be careful
I've been adding things to my cart and leaving them for a couple weeks and then deciding if I really want it
I do the same thing 😊
For me I wait until discount.
Works for me too :)
Sameee it’s really helpful
That’s what I do. I pick all things that I think I want and if I really really want it in a week or two up but most of the time it’s impulse of buying.
My fantasy self is wearing smoky eyes on the daily. Girl I work in a fairly conservative office, where do I think I'm wearing that eyeshadow lol
This, plus heat and humidity 365 = multiple touchups per day I do not have patience for.
Your fantasy girl is such a suppressed diva 😭
I love statement jewelry. I know that is my line of work statement jewelry is a terrible idea (for safety reasons). Same for heels...or really any cute shoe.
i feel like Fantasy You is removing her blazer at the end of a work day and transforming into a smokey-eyed happy hour goddess.

Same, I buy backups for skincare because since I’ve found what works for me, I haven’t been interested in trying anything else
@@booboott1756 I'm also not that cut and dry about backups cause I think there can be a great saving of time and money in them plus comfort in knowing you won't run out of your staple. To be fair, hot soup tends to explode in a regular blender. If you use an immersion blender, you can start it on a low setting and it’s much less likely to make a giant mess or burn you.
I definitely bought an immersion blender because the regular blender was hot and dangerous for me 😂
They are also very useful for ingredients that come in tubs like cottage cheese to blend them. It's really hard to get that out of a regular blender.
Ok but I love my immersion blender, I’m too accident prone to move hot soup into another container
Or just let the soup cool first. Which makes the immersion blender more convenient and time saving. As the commenter said above, they are not costly.
Yes!!!
I agree! Kandee Johnson used to just say “use a product like this” and didn’t insist using the exact thing. BUT that was before linking products and getting a commission. I think I’ll go watch some of her tutorials - even though she was in her 20’s and now I’m almost 50… 🤪

I thought that too.
YES! An immersion blender is one of the best kitchen gadgets to have. Especially if it's one that comes with the extra pieces like the whisk attachment or the mini processor.
Omg now i NEED to see if mine has a whisk attachment.

Haha, that’s the thing in this video that stood out to me too! An immersion blender is worth it if you’re often making soup. Take that money you’re saving on cosmetics and treat yourself, Kelly! ❤
Your a practical women at a young age just as I was and am at almost 60!! Keep this up and you'll never regrett it!!!
Ditto!
I’ve been on a low buy/ no buy since 2020. Been selectively buying things (body lotion, body wash, etc) when they run low.
I like to buy backups for beauty items I replace frequently, like mascara. This is because I love a deal, so I only buy on sale. But I've gotten in trouble buying backups of things that take me longer to use up like foundation or lipstick.
25 is my year to buy, finally got a great job and I’ve done no buy the last few years. 😂 Happy New Year! 🥳💕
I think about your Red Blouse analogy all the time! I buy one thing I love and then I buy more similar things with decreasing return. Trying to remember to enjoy the one I love not get another almost identical one!
Yes, she's so sensible, and gives such good examples that we can relate to
Deleting the shopping apps off your phone is really the #1 bit of advice on this video. I started doing it and I had apps I didn’t even realize lurking. And some of them I know I’ve boredom-browsed myself into dumb impulse purchases.
That, and watching fewer kids. Sorry Kelly!
🤦🏻♀️
Agreed. Way less hassle.
I have an immersion blender that came with a regular blender kind of pot that I can also use by attaching the blender handle to it and guess what I never use it. I only use it as an immersion blender. Cleaning the blender pot is a nightmare.
Came here to say this, immersion blenders are totally worth it.
I love my immersion blender, but I also don't own a regular blender. I just have a little food processor so the immersion blender fills a gap without taking up a lot of space. I commend Kelly for making do with what she has though, especially if she wouldn't use the blender/immersion blender very often.
I just unsubscribed from all website emails this morning before I watched this!
Yes, this morning I unsubscribed from Colourpop emails 😢😅 I received so many!!
I asked for my main go-to makeup routine essentials for Christmas so I don’t have to buy them! If I run out, I’m only allowing myself to buy those specific items because I don’t need anything else
Great idea!
I'm definitely no-buy 2025! I have SO MUCH MAKEUP and really don't need another eyeshadow palette, another foundation, another moisturizer, another shampoo, another blush or bronzer.....what I really need is to save my money, pay off my car, and invest!
2025 is my year to try and invest! I’m so ready to get on my budgeting!
Not to negatively influence you, but my immersion blender is my most used kitchen gadget, way above my regular blender and even my KitchenAid 😅
I am cooking for a family of six though, so ymmv.
Good to know i was curious abt it ! Happy new year!
I get your point but as someone who isn't a gadget person and loves to cook, a immersion blender is a necessity, and they're not expensive.
And so easy to use, and so much easier to clean!!
I just got replaced my ancient and hard to clean blender with an immersion blender. So much space saved!
I’m doing a few months of buying nothing to start out the year, thank you, Kelly! Happy New Year everyone! 🎉
I’m always so tempted to buy things that would be specifically great for travel, but then I think to myself “BUT WHERE YOU GOIN’, BISH??” 😂
It also notifies you if it goes on sale!
your hair always looks flawless!!
The Libby app is great for that, if you have a library card!
Books over buying (other things)!
Hugs 💖🥳🎉🎆
I wish we had an alternative to the beauty box in the uk!
I needed to hear this! I’ve been looking up tutorials for my wedding makeup when I should just use what is in my collection 😅
Yes!
Thanks for the suggestion! Looking for a brown eye liner
Love the cupid’s bow today! One trend I’m tired of is the masking of the natural lip shape. And yes, you need an immersion blender!
You deserve 10 stars for these!!!
As a makeup artist: if you want a complete color collection to experiment with, get ONE good rainbow palette for themed/festive looks.
Ohhhhh what night cream do you love please 😍 love Korean skincare 🤗♥️
Excellent content! Appreciate you😊
Thank you so much for this video, Kelly!
Me too, i have enough skincare and makeup for the next 6,probably 8 months.Happy bew year from Sicily,Italy
this + your deep dives are exactly what i subbed for, love this! ty kelly. i love that this has become more of a conversation. kind of worried that the threat of tariffs will encourage stockpiling, so it’s a nice reminder to be realistic about how you go about it.
I found out I’m getting laid off in about a week, so I’m definitely trying to not buy this year. 😢 Good news is I already have more than enough makeup, so I’m going to focus on using what I have already.
Best of luck to you in your new endeavor! Take care.
I recommend shawna ripari channel for conscious consumption 💗
thank you!
She's good, but she needs some shorter videos. Not TT size, but 20 mins or under.
I haven’t even looked at clothing sales- And it wasn’t on purpose, I think I am simply fed up with everything lol.
i never thought to buy the exact product in order to achieve a look, in fact, that is the challenge: to obtain the same look with different stuff
omg YES the colors in my collection thing was me with blush, for some reason i needed every shade or undertone of blush -____-
Dont put hot soup in a plastic blender people !!!
Thx, mine is made of glass
i removed all credit cards off of my phone. i only keep my debit card because if i can’t afford for the money to come out of my account at that moment, i don’t need it.
I started doing this in the summer ! Makes so much sense 😊
Eyeshadow palettes OMG so true, when I realised that I only kept 3 and I’m far from using them up
My favorite channel!!! Love this content
I’ve only purchased one backup in my life. Natasha Denona’s I Need a Nude Palette. Love it so much I wanted to make sure I had backup, just in case. And that’s it! Weird but true
Your hair and eye shadow look incredible! Happy New year Kelly!!
Love this! It's so important to be mindful about buying decisions, especially for makeup aficionados.
Lots of great suggestions and ideas! 100% on board with this!
another great example of the first one is clothes, if u want to recreate outfits from a certain show or celebrity you don't have to buy their entire wardrobe
Thanks for sharing these great points! Regarding buying items that are on sale, I have had a few bad experiences with specific products that were on sale and that turned out to be expired. So I have become more careful about that and try to focus on site wide sales or whole product line sales, to try to avoid this problem.
Thank you for this!! These reminders are so important 🥲
I have used up a body moisturizer, my face moisturizer, sunscreen, facial cleanser and my elf cosmetics cleansing balm.
Feeling called out by the spending more money on trying to find a dupe than buying the actual product. Maybe now I'll actually learn lol
Let’s put an end to needing “collections.” I’ve always regretted them; the waste of money and the clutter. I’d rather collect money! 😁💵💰
Such great ideas! It was a pleasure meeting you in Vegas! Happy new year!
Thanks again for always grounding us in common sense and Happy New Year!
Love this, Kelly!
Excellent content in your vlogs!
Happy New Year 🎉 ❤
Kelly you are so naturally pretty and fresh faced!
OMG-so MANY of the suggestions you make here apply to me! Really helpful video. Happy New Year!
Good challenges. I need to use up things before buying a backup
Just bought 3 of my much loved, daily used, cleansing balms because they were on a time limited 3 for 2 offer! That’s me sorted for at least 4 months 😊
