Super stoked for this time! While it's not a sub 11 run, the fact that I got low 11 without the aid of Tetranadon triggering the second mount (which is extra 900-1100 dmg) is super nice! I play very cleanly for the most part, pretty proud of this run! Can't wait to do the proper run with this guy in full game!

Great video! I've picked up sword and shield lately and I've really been enjoying my time with it but I'm still not sure of some things. When should I use perfect rush over the hard basher combo into spinning reaper then reset? Also when should I opt for combos other than the hard basher+spinning reaper even whilst running a raw damage build? I ask as I've seen you use different combos in your speedruns and I'd like to know the theory crafting behind it. Thank you for your time.
I think it depends on your weapon sharpness and KO threshold management. Perfect rush deals better damage but consume several sharpness and doesn’t deal any KO while shield combo into reaper only consume 1 sharpness and can help building KO. I might be wrong though.
Basically
1.) PR do the most damage if you can connect all of the hit, and I mean all of them -> thus you should use it during topples or when the monster is down
2.) lateral slash combo (the press A one) deals more damage but consume more sharpness, thus the moment I drop to green I can just spam lateral slash combo. When I'm on blue I tend to go for hard basher except when I felt like I might staggered the monster out of their combo (hard basher tends to stagger monster more often)

Is there any clue to indicate Malzeno’s black waves will split into 3 or 4?
usually he will do a little audio cues before he do the 4 split wave (like in 9:14, notice that sound compared to 9:11 where he barely have any start up for 3 waves) there is also a guaranteed triple combo of "whole body spin -> 4 waves -> breath" like in 8:13 in which you can expect 4 waves every single time, hope this help!
