- Another ode to a bygone era of house music.
Techtonics is an old-school tech house mix with tracks from 1995-2003. After listening to a few Chaos in the CBD sets, I was forever changed by their selection, range, and overall sounds they were playing. Coming to know their tracklist, I made it a mission to find tracks similar to the tech house they were playing. Tech house from this era contains that hard-hitting aspect like it does today but with more range and crossover between other genres at the time. Expect punchy basslines, loads of percussion, and sounds that aren't replicated these days. Think 3 AM Manchester warehouse rave circa 2001... if you can even envision that: dark, super sweaty, a bit of you know what involved, and most importantly people dancing their asses off until the break of dawn. What a glorious site.

@@chrissedayao If you stick the timestamps in the tracklist in the video description (just like it is above) then UA-cam automatically creates chapters in the video so you can see which track is playing. Nice mix by the way!

Chaos got me into this sort of thing too. They have an untouchable live show. Saw them do vinyl only for 8 hours straight, all day all night. Absolutely insane range of punchy tech house that still grooves and gives you shivers

Love it, but I'd say this is the deeper end of the prog spectrum. Not one Nathan Coles, Gideon Jackson, Terry Francis, Pure Science, Dexter or Spincycle track. Mr. G gets an obvious nod though 👌

yeah it's like new drum and bass and the live sets mostly suck due to the digital beat matching taking the life out of the mixes, in my opinion, i know lots of people love it but i feel most of the new sets suck
