In the late 1990s, I went on a whitewater rafting trip in Utah. We came to a campground in the badlands that also looked like it was covered in a dome of smoke. When we got closer we discovered it wasn't smoke - or gnats - but mosquitoes! Thank god the trip organizers had planned ahead and brought the proper gear, but it was insane!
When you ride alongside the swamp, you get what the swamp has to offer. It's pretty self- explanatory. Like when you move next to the airport, you're gonna have jet noise.
What an experience LOL! 😂Biblical proportions indeed! You are hilarious and pure in how you present yourself. My compliments. Great example as a father.
Welcome to Summer in Florida. I've lived on the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida my whole life. Don't move to Florida if you can't deal with hot humidity, bugs, and gators.
Poor Viva, the germaphobe. Somebody point him in the direction of the nearest outdoor store, where he can buy a mosquito net head covering. Love how junior just noped out of there 😂
We had a van that was late coming back from the area near the everglades. three hours after the expected time, the van arrived, driver window open and the driver hanging out. The layer of bug splatter on the front windshield was so thick it buried the wipers. Took hours to scrape it enough to drive again.
LOL I do not mean to laugh but dude , your freaking out is funny as hell....Love the show BTW thank you! Been watching since before the drone fishing!!!
You are lucky you didn't run into mosquitoes. This time of year they will take a pint - and they do shots of DEET before they bite you. Best to visit the Glades in the winter.
Brother, I had the same experience going out on a run. The way back it was about 6pm and they were everywhere and that's near a main road. Same face and arms and had em in my mouth, because running.
Here in Fort Myers the gnats have been swarming pretty bad for the last few weeks. So much that I haven’t been taking the old T-top Camaro out cause I don’t want to inhale them at a stoplight.
Duh LoL welcome to Florida. Deep woods off, or cutter will stop them from biting you but not if you've run into a cloud of them, even the kids know that. Everybody's body is different so you have to figure out whether it's off or cutter that works for you.
Lol yea when I go anywhere near an actual swamp, like the levee your on next to Arthur r. I wear a suit during the summer. You are literally in between old woods and a national swamp lol.
love the state but screw having nets around your house because of bugs, Absolutely love my PNW no bug screens no chiggers, we have a few ticks and some mosquitoes but can sit on our patio screen free.
Txt me next time you get a great idea about Florida. I could have warned you. At dusk it will be mosquitoes. And in winter, its No-See-Ems. P.S. Do Not Go Swimming In The Water!
Just think how many gnats you breathed into your lungs. Wear a covid mask. Probably a nice ride at the appropriate time of year. Black Flies used to be terrible in Michigan UP this time of year. I prefer my bikes with motors on them.
@@bjs301 Yes. Which is why I bring it up, and he could relate to. Head nets were required. Ma Nature has been out there longer than man has. Stop the whining.
What kind of bike is that I'm almost certain it's electronic. I'm still up in Canada and I ain't using that kind of bike. Come on man. Your about 10 years older so it's okay I guess. Old people be teaching kids about ants lol.

No doubt the Florida Department of Tourism greatly appreciates this vlog. The day Viva became Florida Man.
That's Gnasty.
You win..best comment.
(in Cleveland Brown voice)
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
You are hilarious. I’m dying at Marion’s comment…”how many are inside of you?” 😂😂😂
What's worse, in Minnesota, don't go by ponds in the spring. My dog and I were covered in tics! 😮

Have you encountered the Love bugs? That's fun. Also, an outdoor shower in south Florida is a must.
super bad on a motorcycle
Lovebugs be nasty all over everything. 🤢
I’m in Thonotosassa Florida & we got em bad here too….cant even enjoy this nice steaming weather outside for ah minute!
Have fun!
Shalom!

Let's not forget hurricanes 🌀
They used to spray for mosquitoes too. They say they do but they don't . They never ever spray our neighborhood no more. In Tampa.
I know I shouldn't laugh but when I saw you face think this should be entered, I can't stop watching it 😂

This is why I stick to the coast when the wind is blowing. Fishing + fewer bugs. You can't get rid of them but you can mitigate :)

I love this video. You look very funky covered with gnats.🤣🤣🤣.

LOL they didn’t want to hose you down. OMG, this is the stuff of nightmares!😮
So sorry V, laughing my ass off.
I have to go into this for land surveys, its no joke lol
Entomologist here - that is a mating swarm. You messed up ‘adult time’ for a bunch of them.
🎼 Let's get it on...🎶 Sing the gnats..... And Marvin Gaye .👨🏾🎤
Ethan's why what happened is exactly the reaction that I would have had! Lol
This wasn't in ancient Egypt, was it?
On one hand, I wish I was in Florida. On the other hand, I am thankful I am not in Florida. 😅😂😂
Well, at least they aren't Canadian Black Flies. I've seen bush crafters have to wear bee hoods to keep away from those biting black flies.
Hilarious ending! That would freak me out 😮
You might want to observe, and possibly treat the surrounding plants.
been there while jogging... not that bad though !lol !! I used to tell my mrs. at the time more protein for the gnats that I swallowed !!!
might be the one time you want to wear a mask..
We have biting ones too 🤣

Had same thing happen last year while on run along c14 canal
Half the battle of living in Florida is the critters.
Welcome to Florida😆😂 Weapons grade buggage!
I can't stop scratching myself. I'm going for a haircut, right now.
It lease it was not mosquitos. or no see-ems. Out on Tampa bay back in the mangroves I have seen clouds of mosquitos like that.
Lol yea when I go anywhere near an actual swamp, like the levee your on next to Arthur r. I wear a suit during the summer. You are literally in between old woods and a national swamp lol.
OMG!
That's absolutely disgusting!! 😵💫😳🤢
priceless lol - one thing I hated about the South
I thought they were bad in Texas. You poor thing! 😮
There's a gnat! 🤣

Goggles, bug spray, long sleeve shirt goes a long way.
Ee call them flying teeth
Eucolyptis oil is a good repellant
LOL welcome to Florida some more. Be glad it wasn't bees Bro! I have seen bee clouds before and they are terrifying
holy shit its gnat man
dude you're from canada- have you heard of alligators? perhaps not a good spot to ride?
I'll never go to Florida. I'd probably have dunked my head into the water and gotten eaten by a gator.
Now you don't need lunch.
There's a gnat? More like a banana slug. Be careful with the cold water. It might turn inside out.
Txt me next time you get a great idea about Florida. I could have warned you.

I used to fish in Quebec, and got eaten by black flies. I never got to the UP, but the lakes around Alpena were pretty bad too.

Welcome to the south, canuck
Still safer then riding through liberty city
In the near future, they're supposed to be on your plate, not so much on your skin.
Bet you wish you had a Covid face mask 😂
Wtf!!!

You should jump in the water to wash them off
Suddenly masks have a purpose again. 🤣🤣🤣
