I lived in one for one year. This was one of the most depressing times in my entire life. And I "just" had to share a kitchen with another person. As soon as my rent contract allowed it, I got myself my own apartment. Yes it was more expensive and I had a longer travel times to university, but at least I wanted to stay alive there.
Living in dorm is wild, I had my own experience during high school too. Can't tell everything here, but one day I was gonna leave for school, my neighbour was talking on phone and screamed "my sister is pregnant, you gotta take responsibility!"

going to a boarding school is not that bad actually. yeah you got the strict rules but you kinda get used to it after a while. you learn time management and how to wash your clothes by hand -bcs i would die b4 i spend my time waiting 2-3 hours to use a machine to wash clothes i could've washed by hand in an hour-. sure its not for some ppl but i cherish my time in boarding school

She never said anything about that but it's a problem among the NCAA holistically and is more indignant of the schools themselves iirc. I actually played college football and at my uni we never had problems with that because our coach, staff, and school takes it very seriously. The only incident I could recall was from the ultimate frisbee club. Otherwise, even within the team you have different cliques. Not all football players were party bros but obviously they interacted the most with other students so they usually become the face of the team which is fine as long as they're not breaking rules.
