    COTI is gonna be huge guys and most are here for profit, once everyone figures out it's going to the Moon, herd is herd, they buy stupid meme coins then you can imagine what's gonna happen with this. Look they are connecting real world and crypto space so, you can imagine, technology wise COTI is even better anonymity confidentiality token than Midnight and Ethereum marketcap is huge with most developers

    I understand the fear in the cryptospace about cbdc's and their potential for bad use by authoritarian governments, but just want to balance that it's not impossible for them to be implemented well too. Just like a good cryptocurrency a government could choose to use zero knowledge technology to protect privacy, open source the full tech stack for review, and setup provisions that its use is democratically controlled by the citizens of the country. As to whether this happens or not will largely be up to the culture of the given country. I personally doubt something like U.S. would do it well when its politicians are bought by lobbyists, but a country like the Netherlands that has a strong democracy and long history of good social choices could do it right.

    • @bachempenius
      @bachempenius Місяць тому +1

      Dream on about the Netherlands doing It right because they lost the autonomy of their currency and are now part of the European Union and the Euro currency. Go watch coin bureau's vid on YT about they are controlling goverments!! Know this. For them to be able to do It right they should step out of the EU, when It comes to the moneyside of things.

    • @JonnyD000
      @JonnyD000 Місяць тому +1

      @@bachempenius Fair, they would need to exit the EU to get control over their own currency first to do it right. But my main point is still to avoid thinking of cbdc's as inherently bad when the technology exists to do them well too. Similar to how people went overboard thinking all algorithmic stablecoins are inherently bad because of Terra Luna even though things like DJED and Sigma USD were fine.

      1)The history of central banks leaves no room for optimism. 2) Blockchain was created as a solution to central banks control over all of us

    The Central Bank of Israel (Bank of Israel) has been involved in several controversies over the years, primarily related to its role in managing Israel’s economy and its relationship with the government.
    Independence and Governance: The Bank of Israel’s independence from political interference has been questioned. While it has some autonomy, it is still subject to government oversight and has been criticized for not being robust enough in its decision-making.
    Monetary Policy: The bank’s monetary policy has been criticized for being too accommodative, leading to concerns about inflation and asset bubbles. Some argue that the bank has prioritized economic growth over price stability.
    Settlements and Occupation: The Bank of Israel’s involvement in financing Israeli settlements in the West Bank has been controversial. Critics argue that the bank’s actions contribute to the occupation and undermine the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
    Lack of Transparency: The bank has faced criticism for its lack of transparency in its decision-making processes and financial dealings. This has led to concerns about accountability and potential conflicts of interest.
    Relationship with the Government: The Bank of Israel’s close relationship with the government has raised concerns about political influence over its decisions. This has been particularly evident during times of crisis, such as the 2011 debt crisis, when the bank’s actions were seen as responding to government pressure rather than independent economic analysis.
    *Recent Developments*
    International Court of Justice Ruling: In July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem to be “unlawful.” This ruling has implications for the Bank of Israel’s involvement in financing settlements and its overall role in the occupied territories.
    Escalating Violence: The ongoing violence in the West Bank, including Israeli military raids and settler attacks on Palestinians, has raised concerns about the Bank of Israel’s role in perpetuating the occupation and its impact on the Palestinian economy.

    As long as I have the option to use whatever stablecoin or CBDC is want I don’t see the harm in there being a CBDC. I think Coti being involved as a blockchain based company is good.

    #COTIV2 bringing privacy to Ethereum L2. Sensitive data transmitted as public information on a blockchain is limiting blockchain usage and adoption. COTI V2 solves this by enabling end-to-end encryption Garbled Circuits. #PrivacyMatter

      Well, they connect with it decentralized crypto space and traditional space, both need to exist and cooperate, that's reality, wouldn't you agree

    • @Jadeite12
      @Jadeite12 Місяць тому +3

      Then why did you get COTI in the first place? For those who did their homework, COTI wasn't about the traditional crypto ethos, they are a hybrid so to say. Just look at their wallet, all users are KYCed.

    • @karlopeternel7685
      @karlopeternel7685 Місяць тому

      @Jadeite12 well, I hold ADA, SHEN, WMT, COTI, AGIX, NTX and SDAO, and some HyperCycle HYPC, others just have little bit. All I investigated thoroughly.
      COTI got my intrest as the payment system bridging business with crypto and after SHEN/DJED thing I doubled down how I learnt more, and saw how things were evolving having potential even then greater than Ripple XRP in that aspect of being platform for CBDCs (which lije it or not are coming in some shape and form).
      But lately, after I saw that presentation with garbled circuits, what they can do, unlike Midnight one transaction for one thing to one way only, but one transaction for many things to many users (for example, protecting anonymity confidentiality, sending only piece of information I am 18 to bartender, but can send more lije I am Croatian, above 18, male, millionaire, engineer, what needed, and to a few addresses, not like Midnight one on one)
      When I saw they were moving as L2 to multi-billion marketcap of Ethereum, and that garbled circuits tech is many many times faster and scalable than Midnight, even safer and easier programmable.
      At that moment, I was certain that COTI is a JACKPOT.
      Of course, as an Israeli company, they'll also build that superior technological infrastructure for their country (CBDC, banks, businesses, people).
      Current traditional financial system is obsolete in every aspect, slow, costly, robust, not that safe... in spite of continuous digitalisation.
      COTI treasury is wow, many many assets can accommodate there safely.
      World is gonna become tokenized and using AI and blockchain optimized (PayPal, Mastercard... gotta adopt and evolve or slowly die, that's a new reality for everyone)
