- Southern Methodist's Charles "Ollie" Osborne jumped out to a 5-up lead over Georgia Tech's Tyler Strafaci early in the 2020 U.S. Amateur championship match at Bandon Dunes (Ore.) Golf Resort. But Strafaci fought back in the morning 18 and it came down to the 36th hole.

Unbelievable golf by all the players this week. In the old days of the Amateur, one would see a number of older players in the mix. Not anymore. These young guys are fantastic. Several will be on the PGA tour sometime soon.
Have had the pleasure to play along side Ty for many years since we belong to the same club. Knew this kid was special from the start, insane work ethic. Couldn't have happened to a better person
what a match play! certainly no losers. Ollie held up against pressure well and has a beautiful swing, he will be a triumpt in PGA tour.

I’m very happy for Tyler Strefaci for his win and for the contribution to his family’s golf legacy. That was one spectacular 4 iron for the title. But, even he has to admit he benefited in a big way four days in a row by his opponents’ missteps on #18.

What's with the pronunciation of the word Amateur? This is a golf thing I guess because nobody else says it the way it is pronounced by this broadcaster and I have heard other golfers say it wrong too

When Tiger won it x3, was that like watching “B Graders”? How about Bryson? Kuchar? Take the top 20 Americans in the OWG rankings, I’d wager at least 18 played the US Am. I see no reason to think these two would be an exception, they will both challenge on the top golf tours in the world. Do you?
