The subscription's price is unjustified, but this isn't the reason I'm not upgrading. it's the fact that the biggest advantage of Lumion is the efficiency of the product, version 12.5 remains to be more efficient. all the new extravagant features exist in most render engines, and the learning curve of the new versions makes me think If I rather spend my time & money on the most expensive software in the market or maybe a new one that offers the same features in 10% of the price.
What would make me upgrade it though?
    - Adding more texture maps to video materials
    - More freedom with objects, like scaling or retexturing
    - Better water materials (waterfalls and fountains to be exact)
    - Support for Parallax interiors
    - Better default texture definition variety
    - Seemless transition between old projects made with older versions to 2023 without having to start over (most crucial)
    - Ability to import older material libraries
    - More people & animals objects
    - More modern and high quality urban scenery objects like buildings, roads, maybe even famous landmarks.
The price is a factor, as If it was cheaper, I would upgrade without all of these features, With that price I expect a major gamechanger, and at the moment it's not even close

This 2023 version was a complete crash...
We can keep up appearances with a nice teaser but it's a nightmare to use this version, there's nothing that works 100%, it's buggy like Lumion never has.
And I have the impression that my ultra powerful RTX4090, which is capable of displaying Ray Tracing in real time, behaves like an old 10 year old GTX

And in addition, they completly ignored, user requests from their own community, like better water materials, video materials you can add additional texture maps to, strechable / editable objects, and the industry standard: the ability to convert new version saved files to lower saved files.
The price is of course negotiatable but it is another factor when their competition is much cheaper. let's not forget it's nothing but a render engine, it shouldn't cost more than the more complex modeling software - yet it does

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it! Lumion should work just fine with RTX4090, so this is something worth looking into - you might want to contact our support team directly through the website to investigate the problem.

All other render engines have a monthly subscription, Lumion dont really have a subscription if I have to pay for the entire year in advance, any change on that model ?

I just wonder what kind of computer spec they used to render these animations on their teaser. I have a decent computer spec with rtx4090 gpu but it still lagging :(
