The least hyped of all the items from the shareholder meeting, that might be the "new book", is the relocation to Texas. Moving the headquarters then would be "a new chapter" along with the Gigafactory there, the Lithium processing plant, 4680's, Cybertruck, Semi, Stationary Storage, Model 3, Model Y, Dojo. It's the "book" of the FIRST expansion and hitting profitability. Moving to Texas, perhaps according to Elon himself, is the story of the NEXT expansion. Sure, it's a Sequel. In some ways "The Empire Strikes Back" is a better movie than "Star Wars: A New Beginning" [confusing because it is the original beginning] and Lord of the Rings is a better book than The Hobbit. It's a sea change. It's a "phase change", which in chemistry is where a large amount of energy is either required or released when matter goes from solid to liquid to gas. The reason global warming is so hard to see for the layman is that the poles, the ICE caps melting, is NOT OBVIOUS to anyone living in the sub-tropics and tropics. But it takes a HUGE amount of HEAT to do that melting. It's why the ice in your drink doesn't melt instantly, unless your drink is HOT coffee and you only put in one cube. I think Elon was referencing this "first principle of the physical world". At Tesla, they have pumped a HUGE amount of energy [money, time, thought, effort] into the first expansion. This sets us up for the 100x. Just like the march of 9's, it takes MORE energy for the next expansion, the next "improvement". But it is happening NOW!
Herbert, I don’t think Elon intends to slash and burn the past or burn the previous book. I think is more like a series of books like the Lord of Rings trilogy or any other series of books. Each subsequent book is based on the foundation created by the previous book(s).
The transportation-as-a-service book is based on the EV car book that provide the real world driving data, EV manufacturing experience, and the FSD software development to provide the foundation for the Robotaxi transportation-as-a-service business.

There are so many things that have taken years to build up that are finally converging. Think of the day the Robotaxi goes live. Think of the day we see hundreds of Optimist bots in the factories doing work. Think of the Mega pack deployments. Think of the massive growth in Vehicle sales as interest rates improve.
I like the image of the RoboSemi, tractor “cab” of the semi simply being the most aerodynamic shape filled with an AI-5 computer & batteries, no human, no seats, no windows, no windshield, no doors

Regarding Monday's jump in share price, there were quite a few articles on Monday about Chinese automakers with higher delivery numbers. The conclusion in those articles was that Tesla was expected to do better than expected since things are easing up in China, the largest market.
Lessening the number of EVcars by focusing on the trips is a twofer for climate change; the less cars built the lower GHGs and and long wave radiation (drivers of climate change) manifest. Thus, robotaxi is a step function towards reversing climatic destruction

They are going to still need many Roboraxi Charging/Cleaning/Parking Hubs even if the CyberCab cleans itself. They still need to park at night and charge during the day and at night, and the Model 3 and Y Robotaxis will need to be cleaned, charged, and parked as well.

Man, I love you guys (Herbert especially) many are getting the details right but missing the big picture.
As a product manager and entrepreneur, I specialize in creating a vision that works; through this lens it’s painfully obvious that:
1) a new book requires closing the old book
2) mission accomplished on accelerating sustainable energy
3) new mission = transitioning humanity from to post-scarcity economics.
Abundance brings in a whole new economic system and this is the vision that Elon is going to push.
$TSLA: 10-15x in 5 + 5x in 10 = 50-75x in 15.
It's like stock price influences sentiment, and sentiment influences stock price.
Netflix transformation to streaming is a good analogy.
I could not agree more with Brian regarding Master Plan 3. I believe in and support Tesla/Elon because of its forward thinking vision to address Climate Emergency giving us the blueprint with MP3.

Nokia was once a lumber and tyre company then transformed itself to a telecom giant and dominated mobile phone market for years. Tesla started as an EV pioneer with the stated mission "to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy"... Well, that's well underway now, every legacy auto company is moving in that direction, there is no point competing with Chinese auto manufacturers on cost: that would be race to bottom. Tesla has now set itself a new focus and mission, raised the bar, raised the stakes.
I’ll admit, I never bought the stock for the EV’s, but instead I invested in Elon and his visions. I never sold a single share.
I think there is a high chance that Elon is referring to Tesla's compute power after the have got enough GPU from Nvidia. These allowed Tesla to speed up FSD version 12 onwards that Elon himself can experience the improvements. A new book bcos this constraint is now lifted, including Optimus will be able to speed up the progress in their AGI pursuits.
Is Elon perfect? No. Nevertheless, I sure wouldn't bet against him. In time, I believe almost everything he has said for the future will come to fruition. Patience is a virtue. This is just my perspective as a long-term Tesla investor. So far, He has put a lot of money in my pocket. I hope he does so for all his investors and believers as well. Go Tesla!
Herbert and his extrapolating nonsense is hilarious. 21:05 he goes and said that Tesla's future AI robots will be unique. Not sure how he can conclude this given Nvidia literally has a set of models for AI visual learning & inference computers for bots, drones & anything else form factor (they literally walked out bipedal droids running Nvidia AI on its hardware at gct). Did you forget Herbert? Then at the end of the event Jensen stood in front of the screen as 8 full size bots displayed behind him, all using either their Groot models for training & their Thor board for inferencing with Isaac gym.
The future of bots is a two horse race.
One that will mirror the smart phone market. In that space, Apple & Android are all there is. Similarly for bots Tesla & Nvidia/Groot are going to be the dual hegemonic providers. Not one.
Probably tutes buying in and energy storage is getting into the tutes head. It's time for the tutes to build positions now.

Tesla has to drop the price to be sustainable not only because the current Chinese EV car makers make much cheaper EV cars but also because Toyota and Honda have not scaled up their EV production yet. However, this is coming...Acura has started to make the first EV car ZDX, which looks very good but is significantly cheaper ($10,000) than Tesla's X. My question to Musk: what makes you think Tesla X can be $10,000 more expensive than Acura ZDX?
