I’ve used it inside but the shutter speed isn’t best for handheld, in the past I’ve shot Cinestill 800 in it and just left it on f2.8. You can mount a flash to it and that’ll sort any issues. If I wanted solid results I’d probably use a more modern point and shoot for that kind of thing.
heads up! the metal part of the lens isnt ISO that is set by the choice of the film you are using. the lens part that is 25-400 is the shutter speed. Noticeable from the speed change in the shutter. Not to be a know it all just making sure all are aware :)
You’re thinking of the Olympus 35 SP. That had a bit more manual functionality And a black metal ring on the lens that has a shutter control. It also has a rangefinder. The trip 35 looks similar but only has a shutter of 1/40th or 1/200th. Setting the aperture to manual allows to access the slower shutter speed.
Sorry buddy, but that's totally incorrect. Some of the rangefinders in the 35 series had a shutter control on the lens but the Trip definitely did not and it was limited to only 2 shutter speeds of 1/40s and 1/200s.
Super informative! I just recently got one of these and loved using it. So simple and fun. Thanks for the video Marcus, nice one! 👍🏻
Love the video mate - especially the colours, seems like you put a lot of effort into it :D
Really good to the point overview of the camera - well done!
Useful info, I just picked one up today.😊
I've added your channel, it's always good to connect with other retro photographers. 📷
this was so useful thank you ♥️
Wait, I'm not supposed to pop the film canister open with a bottle opener when I develop?
How did you get the stutter effect on the video of ur hands
Posterize time effect, basically makes it appear like a lower frame rate
Excellent guide
Thanks for this video mate relly useful
perfect tysm. I bought one of these and knew the red flag had to do with light but forgot exactly. this is great :)
Thanks, glad you found it helpful!
How is this camera in a dark setting, ex: concert?

Your style of vids are great. How do you edit?
Mostly in premiere pro with the motion graphics made in after effects
very useful thanks!
Nice
In the day it was the common property way to wind film all rhe way back into canister.
