Post Christmas Recycling - Amrep Hopper Video

Big thanks to Jaccob for lending me his magnetic mount and camera to get this footage, and also to Ray at Amrep for being kind enough to mount the camera up there! Other than that, just a typical video - the driver was still getting used to the truck, and the full cans slowed him down, too. It was just block after block of full cans! Enjoy!

Good work, hopper footage is always good, sounds like this is a diesel truck too, even better! I still don't like the Amrep side loaders and never will, but I did enjoy this footage, I just can't stand the arm design, just seems slow and inefficient and a bit boring, good for alleys though. Was this truck a demo truck by any chance too? Seems like the Amrep packer could be a little quicker or it needs to run continuously to keep up when the load gets a bit heavy rather than being manually run, that would drive me crazy. This is where the Scorpion packer excels I reckon, it clears the hopper so well even when it gets a bit full.

The driver already had a pretty full load at the begging. I do love single stream recycling. It makes people want to recycle more. Cardboard boxes do make good cat scratching boxes.

I know its been asked before, but why arent amrep asls more popular in the midwest and eastern part of the country

Because Amrep only sells their products in the western part of the country.

Amreps were built towards west side haulers, as California has high weight limitations for haulers.

If that explodes, you do not know what happens to it.
And certainly not who or what is injured
You would just drive past a primary school !!
