dont know if its the locks mod but it seems to break my animal pens.
Difference between Royality and Ideology DLC is that for Royality you pay full price for majority of mods. while Ideology is worth on its own

@@Zical100 let me put this this way. in royality you are set on ONE set path, to either please royal zealots. or to rebel, either one or other, or ignore them both but then you ignore DLC. while Ideology forces itself on start by asking you how you want to play (either by premade or costom) with multiple takes, with possible expansions via mods.
@@Dani751PL no you're again wrong. Mods aren't forced to use royalty and 90% of them work just fine wichout it. Modders only need royalty if they use mechanics added by royalty. And royalty itself alone is freaking worth it, who doesn't love colonists with Jedi powers. Plus mech clusters and quest are a lot of fun to.
The content in ideology dlc is insanely overwhelming. You got to choose a meme, ideology, how level it affect you and, animal pen, on top of that Ancient war on rim planet. Damn yo the lore getting thick I hope theres a mod we can fix ancient tank and bring it back to life.
we can create several biological superweapons but we can’t drive a tank lol

Pens also make sure that animals who can't be trusted to follow along with pawns don't run off and leave the map.

I literally have a settlement that has went 1.5 years without having a new pawn... Glad to hear the incidents will be checking my pawns and weight it more towards giving me another one. I finally had a prisoner contact me and rescued them, but it was a slow year. Especially since two of my starting pawns would never haul because of their background.
i’m still new, played a bit on 1.2 and was sad to see my 5 year colony of like 4 people go. playing 1.3 now i’m the same amount of time in but have like 10. it’s a lot easier
These videos give a TON of insight on stuff both vanilla and modded, quite nice when you're starting on the rim knowing next to nothing, cheers.
I gave them my money to make my mods useless and I don’t even mind

@@jamesverone1244 oh XD nice. im off in 1.2 because the mods i wanted to use LOOKED to be working but was not, manly the beloved prepare carefully mod. its doing so little but yet its so good you cant help but add it to every game, oh and this is with my game having only a pocket of glitches that are all just annoying but not game ending (like trees not having sprites or the colony not having its marker) so far nothing huge

@@Grrrr1997 all pen animals can't haul anymore, that includes many of the big ones, like horses and donkeys
........ I loved my suicide Boomalopes. I always used them to wreck havoc in the enemy base while simultaneously siege them. Shoot the Boomys into their base and the second wave of drop pods outside to build the temporary base. If the base building tools to long, just shoot a new wave of Boomys into them before they can mortar back. It was glorious
I never played this game because I thought it looked childish and figured it was horrible, my friend told me about it and the stuff you can do in it so I figured I would try it out and bought it a few weeks ago omg I cant quit playing this lol like 500 hours played in one month

So far ALL the raid's I've encounter at high level were breach raids. Quite annoying.
Cue someone whine about that on reddit and fix that annoyance.

someone drop an item blocked the barn door => entire muffallo herd start to run away immediately. Breach raid is a real pain btw
There was a mod to keep items from blocking doors. Don'tBlockDoor I think? Experimental stability for 1.3 tho
The drop pods seem to utterly have it out for pawns. Ive had 4 colonies wiped in early droppod raids because out of no where while eating breakfast a drop pod crashes through my dining room roof :(

They did something to the mods i used to be able to have 100-130 mods loaded, but now I can only have 20-40 mods loaded, how can I fix this if I can.

Underrated channel
It kinda annoys me how the dev is seemingly likely to remove a feature than try and balance it. Boomalopes too good? Now you can't have them. Scyther arm blades sell for too much? Well now they are gone.

You can train them, but they are dumb animals like cows now. No hauling, attacking etc.

With the ideology DLC I created a cannibal nudists colony that worships the Chicken God
your animation has gotten 2 times better
The Animal penn was a down grade as I was using Chinchillas to tank all the enemies now I have to raise a army of hamsters or rats to tank my enemies.
most important question did they fix steel so it dosent burn if not then all this time has been wasted and they need to go back

Why would you even waste resources and time on training suicide bombers? You don't need to train them to make them attack, just set tiny zone where enemies are and assign all boomalopes to it. They will fight back after getting shot by raiders and will blow them up.

Like with Sappers Breach raiders won't break into rooms that have turrets in them even Termites will gladly walk through my not kill box instead of going through those rooms.
The problem is that Termites going to your Killbox is a bad idea because they'll blow your cover away
@@Randomgamer-di3ow at about 26 tiles the Termites range is quite short it is highly unlikely they would even get a shot off before being neutralised.

Can't play 1.3 until a few of the must needed mods get updated to 1.3. 90% of my mods are updated, but a few of the remaining 10% are 100% needed.

@@yamancaglar Lots of quality of life mods, more recently Rimworld of Magic has been extremely fun. It adds a lot of RPG to the game. Makes you more invested in each colonist.
Lmfao I have that brush sickle I was not expecting to see it at all I've actually used it to cut through trees thicker than my thigh but the handle keeps coming off because the rubber outer portion of the handle keeps coming off so I'm not sure that I would recommend it
I am not playing 1.3 yet because my mod list being redundant lol, waiting for more mods to be available

Somehow I think you got the barracks thing wrong. I believe it's not about having two couples in a room and more of a poly thing. Now I gotta run some tests.
Most of Ideologies changes make the game harder. Sure you get some bonuses, but mostly it makes it harder to keep people happy since they have new requirements.
Not really, you're not even required to make an extensive idiology, and you can always tweak nearly all of the memes. it makes the game way easier if you choose to do so! Or, you can make it harder/weirder if you choose!
tunneler meme is op, transhumanist is hard early and mid game but OP late game, weaker memes are being rebalanced btw
I'm waiting for some mods that unlock precepts from memes. And maybe add some more nuance to some of them.

I just downloaded Rimworld and started playing it. Downloaded a bunch of mods and the mod list tells me that a good portion just aren't compatible for 1.3. :(
Steam has a filter on the workshop for that list version compatibility. The mod pages also list version compatibility on the right

Wild plants start at 15% growth.
Plants sown (planted) by the player start at 0.01% instead of 0.00%, likely to avoid some issue with plant growth.
The Harvest/plant skill now improves the amount you get from a plant at harvest, once you surpass a threshold.

This is their game lol. Modders make mods to make the game experience better. Game devs are free to implement that to the game
Couple of things I think you- and everyone- should keep in mind:
1. If a mod is that similar to a feature that is being integrated into Rimworld that it has become widely known, usually Ludeon Studios talks to the Mod creator about it, unless they've been inactive or have put down something about the mod being abandoned and thus open to anyone to pick up. Not always, but rather often.
2. Most of the time, it's not that Ludeon Studios or Tynan know specifically about a mod. It's that people requested the feature in base Rimworld.

@@isshikiiroha3910 I can understand it as seeing it as not giving credit, but given Ludeon Studio _does_ usually make a good faith attempt to give credit when they know it is an idea from a mod, it's a bit different.
Or, for that matter, if they were making a profit on integrating the mod into the game, but they don't really tend to integrate ideas from mods into DLC.
