very cool video, the x-11 is i’m pretty sure either a ramjet or scram jet, but the sr-71 is the fastest air breathing jet engine, they basically put a j58 inside a ram jet lol very interesting concept
Back when I young and playing X-Plane on mobile I'd always go full throttle straight out to space with the X-15 until running out of fuel. I could reach altitudes of 200k and above. Unrealistic but it was always very fun
Well, in my opinion, the X15 is not a plane, it has a solid rocket motor and almost no wings. Therefore every Rocket is a Plane in some way. Or what about the Space Shuttle Orbiter ?
