Hey everyone - this is a Part 2 from our December video which has taken me a while to put out. Remember those pre-Covid days! 😥 Anyways, hope you enjoy and we're back to somewhat normal schedule next week!
How are things in Portugal (are u still there btw?) when it comes to corona? I have been hearing about a second wave of the pandemic coming to many countries so i was wondering if it's safe for u to start filming more videos etc.
I am currently in Toronto and we will film here as situation is quite good. Portugal isn't yet so we are limited in terms of videos but we are starting a new series which I will film when I am back so I am excited!
I think you should try to do a video with Brazilian people trying to explain the stages of relationships to other countries people It would be crazy to explain what is “FICAR”

Some differences: 1) Brazilian couples use to hold hands often when they walk together. Not a rule but happens a lot. (Signal of commitment and possession) 2) Brazilian man will normaly ask the girl "would you like to be my girlfriend?" when he wants to be in a exclusive relationship and the woman hopes to get at least some flowers :) 3) Couples sit at the same side in a restaurant probably 'cause in Brazil the environment is pretty laud as everyone is talking at the same time and you couldn't hear your partner pretty well if both were sitted over distance. Or maybe they just want to be close to each other hugging and kissing. 4) The guy usually put his arms around the girl or back in the chair/sofa. (Again a symbol of commitment) 5) The dates use to be very simple. You can go to the beach, a club with pool, a pub with music at live, go to the mall, movie theater, a meeting with their families or some other event/festival. Yeah, we introduce our date to our families much sooner. By knowing the family you will know better your partner, how he was raised and as people say "the way he treats his mother and sister is how he is going to treat you in the future." 6) Show affection in public is not only normal but also expected. It's a signal of commitment. "Hey everyone, look over here, we're together, he/she is mine." 😁😂 7) A couple is expected to turn only one. We're together, we're a team. We do almost everything together. There's no thing like "girls night out" in nightclubs and parties. You can expect your partner to broke up with you as soon as he/she realize you went to a nightclub alone. 8) Women in general are expected to behave like a lady. They don't use to get drunk at a nightclub. The culture of "one night stand" is not so usual over here and people (women and men) might judge women who does it. 9) Woman use to be very affectionate touchy-feely, hugging, kissing, touching guy's arms, head, beard and hair (cafuné). 10) People use to say brazilian men are cheaters, but I guess the thing is as we're a collective society when something like this happens EVERYONE knows it, even if you don't want it to, and people will be talking about it for a while. In small cities where everyone knows each other it turns to be a scandal. Different from Japan or US, as the individual society they are, people use to keep they privacy life secret to themselves. 11) Brazilians in general are used to express their feelings and emotions. Also different from Japan where people use to hide their emotions, in Brazil cry is not always a sign of weakness, but actually could be a signal of care, honest and true love. 12) People talk a lot with their hands. Their body language and facial expressiveness says it all. They just can't fake it. We can't be half. A good brazilian is a sweetheart. A bad one is unpleasant. --- Well that's pretty much it. Of course things has been changing a lot in the last years. And there are some peculiarities of each region and even of provinces.
When I was in Brazil in 2018 I was 19 at the time. My next door neighbor was a single mother in her late 30s. When we went out she was all the time hugging me and kissing me and I didnt know why. 😂
@@ΠαναγιώτηςΓεωργίου-ε3π She was just being friendly buddy. Most of her opinions are related to her direct type. My guess is that she is into possessive men. Most likely she gravites towards them without noticing. Which there is nothing wrong with it just happens to be her type. PDA is common because Brazilians are naturally affectionate not because they wanna show to other people that they own you. And at least in the cities that I lived it was normal for a couple to hangout with friends. Usually they give the heads up before hand to let the other person know.
@@ΠαναγιώτηςΓεωργίου-ε3π honey, just this morning, the cashier at the bakery called me beautiful. It's just a thing we do, especially if someone doesn't know your nome or how to pronounce it. But then again who knows? Maybe your cougar like was into you 🤷 That's why Brazilians tend to be direct, so there is no confusion between friendly interaction. And why usually people have no hard feelings if they do get turned down.
Not everyone ... I think there are many people of different nationalities who enjoy it. Not only "the Brazilian", even more if we think that it is a country that was colonized, received and still receives immigrants from All the world. So even our culture is not ours.
As a Brazilian I can say that the opinion changes a lot depending from which part of Brazil you are, but the most accurate thing is that we prefer "warmer" people to have relationships with hahaha we are not easy to handle! 😜

Brazilians are open, warm, friendly, open mind, easy going and etc. Worse thing we are too emotional. We have some issues to understand there are different countries, with different people who are closer and not too friendly. We think everybody need to be like us.
Every Brazilian I've met in the US was very reserved, didn't walk to talk, and spoke only with other Brazilians... And how often do you take a shower and brush your teeth? I have heard there are countries, if not entire continents, where people take a shower once per day and brush their teeth twice a day. What do you think of that?
Here in Brazil, as most regions are hot, we Brazilians shower three times a day and brush our teeth after every meal. We are considered the most bathing people in the world. And I think it's wonderful, I like it's always clean and fragrant. 🙃
@@Србомбоница86 Most brazillians (I say most because there is always the exception) still shower 2 to 3 times a day when living, travelling or studying abroad in other countries, regardless if there is snow outside or not. It's cultural, sure, we wouldn't do that if we were from Europe maybe, but we live in a hot climate and it became a cultural thing, just like people not taking baths here in this very hot country and smelling like trash but it's probably their culture so they don't realize they are stinking of sweat or dirty just yet.

Of course, the video caught the most cartoonish Brazilians. I'm a Brazilian who doesn't know how to dance, I don't like going out to clubs or the like. I am reserved, I don't like being touched, I use education everywhere, I don't speak shouting, I don't like samba / carnival (which could end for me forever), I don't enjoy football and I'm disgusted by the heat.
Topless in Brazil are not illegal, its just not normal. Anyone cam come to Brazil and do, but everybody gona think "that person doing topless is a foreign , thats odd", and others will think thats not appropriate to do topless in front off kids, familly or eldery persons.
What I realized is that no one knows shit (yeah, "shit" this time) about people of other countries unless they lived in that country for at least 2 years...otherwise, it's just stereotyping.
I might want to date a Brazilian man now, how is the homosexuality situation there? Will I be able to hold hands in the street? Would I have to hidden myself to not get beaten?
Just like everywhere else, you'll find some hateful people (perhaps in smaller cities), but from what I've seen, you'll mostly get looks, and perhaps a few comments here and there, once again, depending on where you are and what you're doing (holding hands or even a small kiss might not even be noticed by the majority of people, whereas a full on french kiss might attract more attention). So all in all, it's not the best country, but it's definitely not even close to the worse country to be a homosexual.
Look, I love Brazil. Been there 8 times. Love the culture, food, weather and beaches. And I speak the language. People there are amazing, too! So friendly. But overall, they're not really trustworthy in relationships. Not all...but overall. And I'm not even judging it as a negative thing. I'm just saying, they're very carefree. So if you're looking for a parter who will be committed to you until the end, it's probably not the best place to be looking for a husband or wife. One example...in one city I lived, there was a big Brazilian community that I hung out with consisting of 8 or 9 couples. All of them...not some of them...all of them were cheating on the other LOL. To be fair, one was in a swinger relationship, so can't include them.
If you wanna a serious relationship with someone who will stick to you seriously and forever, have children etc., go to a Roman Catholic Church gathering (especially old, Traditional Mass). I'm sorry to say, but if you want a serious commitment you shouldn't be looking for it at a beach or carnival party.
Feel so sorry for the lady who doesn't understand the difference between cheat and shit. My goodness, that's embarrassing. One thing is for sure: Brazilians are a warm and caring people.
At least she was confident enough to talk in English instead of Portuguese to make sure she won't make any mistakes. Besides she only pronounced it wrong similarly to how ''chic'' is pronounced.
She understands the difference just can't hear the difference to pronounce it correctly. Kind of like coco e cocô or avó e avô for native english speakers. I'm sure I have said shit on accident or called my grandmother my grandfather. I don't think it's embarrassing because it is not her first language and I understood what she meant.
Not embarassing at all! I thought she spoke English well and the point is she made an attempt to speak another language, so many applauses for her. It takes guts. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity for the joke!
If your dating a Brazilian and your not Brazilian good luck with that, a lot of politics depending on where you live and religious views lets just say if you don’t attend church every Sunday its going to be hard to date a Brazilian, Its very hard to avoid politics as well
Marina... I always have fun with your videos!! 👏🏻❤️👏🏻People should see the one you about estereotipes that you made before about Brazilians ( samba, hot weather...). We are not the same,of course not! It depends on the state we live in and also how we were educated.I love Rio but they focus more about how sexy and hot we are ( ok.. it’s true! 😂) .More than that...Brazilian girls are smart ,independent great careers ( I am a doctor here) and at the same time we are always “feminine “. Loving ,caring,loyal,supportive..( we don’t cheat.. 😂) . The bad side? My German boyfriend told me.. You are territorial and a little jealous...but I love it! Next time come to Belo Horizonte!!😘😘
Haha the possessiveness is an aspect I hear of so much! And especially compared to Germans for whom independence is crucial, drama and jealousy should be minimized but for Latinos - life without this is life without passion, intrigue and real feelings (generalized of course but so important when I hear of Latinos and Germans/Dutch/Scandinavians getting together)
Well...I think that we balance each other.. they get more fire and I got more patience 🤣! Wait covid better here and come over again!! Don’t stop making videos because we really like all!! We watched all together online. My boyfriend loves ( his favorite is dating a German guy) and my friends as well! Kisses!
Brazilian women are good because they face some competition to get a "Real" boyfriend. I talked with quite a lot of them. They would always complain about the quality of men they date. "Good ones are taken". Me thinks that if they are pretty enough, they can dream about getting not dates but boyfriends. Funny thing, not so pretty women sometimes do get more of boyfriends because most cute girls can't really date anyone out of their league. A not so pretty girl can befriend a guy first. I heard of "Playboy cover" girls who keep dating a guy they don't like because it's so difficult to find another guy who cares. Today with Tinder, dating is easy but getting a boyfriend for the girls is not easy. A boyfriend that will last. But dating foreigners, ti's quite a tradition dating Brazil's discovery. Brazilian indian girls would crave having babies with foreigners and there are written reports about it (talk about 1600's). So funny thing is: those Brazilian beauties one can see in pictures everywhere, some of them are using g-strings but they are very very selective. And of course, some not so beautiful girls here will make you fall in love with them in no time at all because they had to be smart than the beautifull ones. So they know how to do it. But one thing is dating a Brazilian guy and another is dating a foreign guy. A foreign guy (it might be someone from out of town) means she can be a different more open minded with the guy for the guy won't go bragging about her to anyone. Which is something good,i guess.
brushing to much destroys your enamel the protective layer of your teeth my Brazilian girlfriend has metal caps in her muller teeth probably from to much brushing as for my teeth there straight and very clean 3 time or 4 is my limit breakfast, lunch, dinner, before bed…

PDA is common because Brazilians are naturally affectionate not because they wanna show to other people that they own you.

Which is something good,i guess.
.........Everyone should date a Brazilian girl....!!
