Congratulations, Tisha. I missed your vlogs. What is so disappointing about these apt hunting videos is that they seem like slum lords. They don't even take the time to clean, or make it enticing with a bait and switch. It's like they feel people are so desperate to pay those rental rates regardless of the condition.
If you walk into an apartment and they haven't even bothered to clean it up for the viewing...you can be sure that building maintenance is abysmal. And I wouldn't trust them saying that the apartment will be getting painted or any other updates...most likely won't happen.
Gosh keep going Tisha, apartment hunting is not only exhausting but soul destroying. Keep going hunny bunny, the perfect apartment is out there. Sending positive vibes. 😊Really can't believe the terrible state the apartments are in, not fit to live in. 😮. Love your energy. I think your Sister is right to extend your time in your current apartment. And always trust your first instinct, especially that weird guy outside one of your viewings😮. The prices landlords are asking is mind blowing, but I guess it is NY❤. Keep going and keep safe. So glad you have your family and a good friend to support you. ❤from Rosie O from Devon, England 🏴
I also broke my lease and then changed my mind. They were cool about it and laughed while I was thanking them that I'm not going to be homeless now 😂 It was a little bit embarrassing but one year later I'm still living in that apartment🤷 That being said, I'm still rooting for you to find your dream apartment! :)
I think I remember you saying you wanted to live IN Manhattan. A tip, I heard it from someone who lived in NYC: why not try finding an apartment a few blocks right OUTSIDE of the area you want to be in, like one - five or so blocks outside of it. Because I heard, it would be cheaper and yet still really close to the area you want to be in. I heard that tip months ago and thought it was good advice for anyone wanting to live in NYC but feeling they couldn’t afford to live in the neighborhood they really wanted to. Good wishes to you.😊
Try searching in Rego park or forest hills in queens. You will be right off queens Blvd. the train and mall & shops are nearby. The E or F will take u to the city in 20 mins! (I live here 😂)
Lol not me coming to comment the same thing because I also live near by! 😂 I think also giving Long Island City in Queens a chance might be worth it! Close to the city, lots of new high rise buildings in her price range! With washer and dryers too! 🥰
Dont settle move many you tubers show many Apts way better for ur price limit maybe ur not looking in the right area blessings that u find a safe bldg with all u need❤
Hi Tisha, congratulations on the growth of your channel, over 11k! Really hope you’ll find a decent flat very soon, can’t believe how dirty most of them were! 💕
2600mo = 31,200 thousand a YEAR!!! that is crazy to spend that much on an apartment & they are shoeboxes. Move to Brooklyn, Manhattan is ridiculously priced
Can you try looking at apartments in Long Island City, Queens? It's 15 minutes away from Manhattan. The 90 percent of the buildings, near the #7 train, are recently built.
I live in a high rise in LIC a couple of blocks away from the trains. Never have I been subject to the traffic and/or train noise. And I have friends, who also live in the area, a few blocks from the train, on the sixth floor of the building. They don't have problems with any street noises either. It's a matter of how close to traffic you choose to live.
I know you've mentioned you don't want to move back to JC and you really want to live in Manhattan, but what about Hoboken? You'll def get a much nicer place for your money, maybe even an in-unit washer/dryer. There are still great food options in the area, it's safe, and it's incredibly easy to get into the city either the PATH or NJT bus. You also won't have to pay the city tax of working in NJ and living in NY (assuming you get that now, not sure if you do). Just something to consider. I do hope you find your dream apartment but I just think the market is not in your favor right now. It's wild.
If you see any fixtures that look taped up, run. Landlord’s should be ashamed of themselves with the way their empty units look like. If a stranger starts asking questions about the building you are viewing, don’t answer. That was so strange.
Onward & upward, already at 11.6K since you filmed this🎉💜💚 very happy for you. Those were the most dismal apartments yet, a couple of them made me feel like taking a shower just from viewing them. I can only imagine how you felt! The only one I kinda liked was the one where you were waiting outside with a bunch of people. I hope so badly that you don't have to ask for more time to stay where you are. Wishing you luck and success as the hunt continues.
God bless y’all, as I will never understand the draw to living in New York City. You pay all that money for run down old apts, but why? All cities have downtowns with walkable lifestyles, so why nyc? I don’t get it. And no shade Tisha, you’re incredible. Great video as usual✌🏽😃✌🏽

Omg. Some of those apartments were so disgusting. It is as if they designed the building and after it was built they realized opps we forgot to add a bathroom and a kitchen, and just stuck them into odd corners Also so very dirty . So called cleaning will not help, better to demolish and start over. None of the units deserve the money they are asking for. Praying you will find a clean and safe place to live

Living in NYC means state income tax in addition to city and county tax on your income. New Jersey is a better choice since you work in NJ. $2,600 monthly for an outdated small apartment is outrageous. I understand the excitement of living in Manhattan, but be practical. When I lived in NY I was making six figures but refused to pay more than $2k monthly in rent. I ended up renting a 3 bedroom home for only $1,850 in Long Island. So it worked out for the best. Good luck to you.

Congrats on 10k subscribers. Just a tip! If you are paying a broker's fee for an apartment, it would definitely help to enlist a broker to find apartments for you. Let them do the work being that you're paying a fee anyway. You also will come across as a stronger applicant to the listing broker. If you were looking in brownstone Brooklyn, I would definitely help you out (maybe you should look there as well. The apts are bigger and the commute to the city, depending on what part of Brooklyn can be anywhere from 15-30 mins). Hope you find your place soon! 💓
the struggle is everywhere. rents are high, but what you get is not much. having said that, manhattan itself is pricey. for anything really decent - unless you get very lucky - you have to hit the $3000 mark. maybe it is time to look at another borough? doesn't even have to be far!
Heyy, thank you for the suggestion. I used to live in downtown Jersey City (very close to the city) and moved to the city as I have been wanting to do so. I work in NJ and have to commute to work twice a week starting March. Because of the commute, I am hoping to find sth in Manhattan 🤞🏽
Congrats🎉! Love watching your videos I can’t believe the apartments cost that much money, and they are such a mess. I just can’t believe someone pay all that money for a place that terrible. I wish you all the best and pray that you will find something decent. You are such a good person.❤ 0:08 all the best
Tisha omg you are stunning as always 😲 And, I live in an expensive area too, here in Silicon Valley (part of the San Francisco Bay Area) the median home price is 1.7 million dollars. 🙂 Personally I share a one bedroom apartment for 1000 USD/month (the total rent is about 2000 USD). So your budget is quite larger than mine, which is very good for you 🙂 I would have taken several of the apartments you are passing up....I'm sure you will find something soon. 🙂
Congratulations!! I remember when you had a few hundred subs! So happy for you! What a motley assortment of apartments...from bad to worse. I actually thought 22 was the only nice one because it seemed cleaner and brighter than the rest. Still not the one you're looking for though. Good luck!!! I remember the horrible stress of needing to find a new apartment before I had to move out of the old one. So anxiety inducing. Slumlording should be illegal, grrr.
Good luck with your apartment hunt. If I were you though, I would reconsider staying where I am. You have already made the place look cosy and I am sure you would have ultimately won the war against the roaches and mold - sometimes it's easier to deal with the devil you already know Vs the one you still gotta get to know 😊. Judging from your previous viewings it seems like there are very few perfect apartments in Manhattan in your price range.
Loving your videos Tisha! I watch them while I have my breakfast before starting the workday 😁 love that I get to see NYC (I’ve never been and my dream is to go).
Hi Tisha, you have an exhausted job!! I think that if you want a nice area in Manhattan you need to change your prices range to 2600 to 3000.00 because that is the only "" guarantee"you have to find a better area and better apartment. Good luck❤

Thank you so so much ♥️. This means a lot!!
Appreciate you and our community 🤗
12k today! Congrats ❤
Thank you ♥️
Tisha omg you are stunning as always 😲 And, I live in an expensive area too, here in Silicon Valley (part of the San Francisco Bay Area) the median home price is 1.7 million dollars. 🙂
Personally I share a one bedroom apartment for 1000 USD/month (the total rent is about 2000 USD). So your budget is quite larger than mine, which is very good for you 🙂 I would have taken several of the apartments you are passing up....I'm sure you will find something soon. 🙂
Omg, those bathtubs😢 i had mine painted, and it looks brand new. I know the perfect one is out there.
Thank you 🙏🏽💗
Congratulations!!
Thank you so so much for your constant support ♥️🤗. It has been very very stressful. Hoping to find a home soon
Enjoying your flogs so much 💚☘️💚
🎉Congratulations on 10K subscribers!! Hope you find an apartment soon! 🙂 Hang in there, something great will turn up!
Fingers crossed 🤞🏽
And thank you for the well wishes ❤
Congratulations 🎉❤💐🎈🕯
Good luck with your apartment hunt. If I were you though, I would reconsider staying where I am. You have already made the place look cosy and I am sure you would have ultimately won the war against the roaches and mold - sometimes it's easier to deal with the devil you already know Vs the one you still gotta get to know 😊. Judging from your previous viewings it seems like there are very few perfect apartments in Manhattan in your price range.
GIRL TRY QUEENS AND BROOKLYN NICE AREAS AND BETTER CLEANER APARTMENTS
Cant imagine paying this kind of money for these apartments!! Stay optimistic!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Loving your videos Tisha! I watch them while I have my breakfast before starting the workday 😁 love that I get to see NYC (I’ve never been and my dream is to go).
Thank you!! Hope to read about your visit soon ♥️
Hi Tisha, you have an exhausted job!! I think that if you want a nice area in Manhattan you need to change your prices range to 2600 to 3000.00 because that is the only "" guarantee"you have to find a better area and better apartment.
Good luck❤
Thank you so much for the well wishes ♥️
Yayyyyyy congratulations I'm so happy for you on reaching your followers. 🎉❤ I know apt hunting can be exhausting but your place is coming soon!! Your safety and comfort is top priority ❤🎉
Thank you so so much for being here since the 1st apartment hunting video ❤
wow some of the places are a real nightmare 😱! you will find the one for you.
right!!! It’s crazy out here!! Thank you 🙏🏽♥️
@@TishaShrestha I moved to London almost 10 years ago and it’s the same, the rents are crazy high and so hard to find a decent place that’s livable. On my second year here I was living in a place infested with roaches and bedbugs. But I stuck it out and moved and found a much better place.
