Never will get tired of this song. It just gets better and better. That 1982 tour with U.K. Subs was fantastic. Two bands at their peak on the same night. Incredible.
I am lucky to say I have seen them live, literally a feet from me on stage...I got to meet them, they are cool as fuck. It was an amazing show all around, and they were the icing on the cake.
Saw this lineup plus one guitar at CBGB. it was like 100 plus degrees and the place was packed. They put on a great “ last show of this tour” as animal put it. Great stuff!
these fucking guys are the coolest! I saw them in 1982 on tour with UK Subs and I just lost my mind! they were the real shit! Fell in love with Animal, havent stopped loving him from that day forward.... ha ha fucking ha.... their biker punk is great fun! thanks so much for posting this shit stomping love song!
I like 70s punk and these guys are playing dowload festival this year so i thought id check them out, Im loving this song, think ill head along to their stage.
Grew up listening to punk, grew up going to punk shows. Most UK punk bands outside of the anarco politics I discovered later in life. I love this song though. knew the songs so what and we are the league from compilations . I'm sure if I knew the song growing up I would have tried to sing it to one of my lady lucks. Great song.
John Peel introduced this song on the radio with the line " I think this one's got GUTZZZZ !! " which was a phrase my mates and I would use often around this time that and Black Adder or Young ones lines of course "Remember Rick spells his name with a silent P !!"
I had heard a cover of this by the King's of Nuthin'...didn't know it was a cover. I've been listening to oi/ punk for 30 years and of course knew of these guys, but actually never gave them a listen. Got tickets to see them open for Cock Sparrer in April. I have to admit I have been missing out. Why did I wait so long to listen?
@@tnightwolf ...this is the original :) I was refering to this, the Uncut version all cleaned up and....not quite right imho > ua-cam.com/video/aVTiIXl8Ug4/v-deo.html
saw them last year at the harlow square and i was expecting the worst but they were great, even got a free sticker and put it on my fridge. who said punk is dead eh?, apart from crass that is. can i come to australia?, i dont have any seeds or plants!
This song was about the lads that died in the Falklands, as Animal was an ex-para. Mucho respect. Thought they were brilliant when they supported the Damned in 81, blew them off the stage in fact.
Never seen ANL myself, but having seen the Damned, that's no mean feat !!! Didnae ken Animal wis an ex-para tho, 'n' aye....respect tae the boys that fought in 82' !!! Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry for the Argentine losses too, poor guys were mainly conscripts afaia.....up against a highly trained force that had voyaged 1,000miles +...note* for any detractors.....TOO, all human loss is a waste in any war!!! As pretty much, most wars since at least the 18th century have been engineered to .. 1/ make money for those that can supply arms and munitions for said wars... 2/ takes the publics/masses mind off what is "really" going on... and 3/ helps keep the no. of plebs(ie, you me and any other dumb mother-fucker that's paid taxes to these no-use cunts, doesn't matter what country you live in) DOWN !!!! Chris, sorry to have hi-jacked your comment brother, but sum shit, just needs tellin' as it IS !!! and lol...."geezers", so sweet....
They pulled out of Remember the Punx.......it was recorded as the most successful punk festival.......my girl and I we were a rolling Rx ..,..we drove up from Laredo.. Exploited was the main act.....the PEARS were bad ass. Barely could stay awake during TSOL....was dissapointed AntiNoWhere League didn't play..... October 1st 2016.
