I just found a 2020 wt black with z71. Crew cab with the 6.5’ bed! And a few other upgrades. Two things I don’t like about it that has me hesitant to call this dealer. One no center storage in the flip up seat or under it (I know people swap the with a LT. But still should at least have that. Especially in a wt) and two the 24 gal fuel tank. Why GM want offer an extended range tank like the f150 is beyond me. Ford offers a 36 gal tank on the f150. Otherwise I really like the WT package. It’s all the truck a man needs. And the fact I found one with the 6.5’ bed in crew cab is amazing. I’m just torn over those two short comings
Had one, got rid of it. Was an awesome truck! Didn't suit me. However, as a daily driver/work truck, was great. Got rear ended(Truck was almost 4 months old, not me😂), and was never the same. Made a clicking sound with every shift, didn't turn left with out fighting me, and sensors were always going off. I blame the dealership, not the truck. Was a great truck. I owned a Ford F250 for three years, regretted not stayimg with Chevrolet. Ford was a 2016. I now have a 2021 Silverado, no complaints. Just fear being rear ended. I love my truck though.
The infotainment screen is smaller than the one I had in my ford Ranger but it is much easier to use. The Sync system kept forgetting my phone. I set up everything in my Silverado in less than a minute.
Even though this is more than a year old thanks. The 6.5 ft single cabs are being sold soon apparently, and only in WT, but it looks like this trim has even more options than a fully loaded from 20 yrs ago.
I’m in the market for a truck. Just need a daily driver really, but am wanting a truck haha. Never haul anything or pull trailers but these work models are appealing. I don’t like all the bells and whistles of the fancy expensive packages. If I wanted all the bells and whistles, I’d get a nice car or something. Maybe that’s just me
Totally agree a WT should and likely will hold up better due to the far less electronics and safety technology. Consider going with a 4.3L V6 because honestly the 4.3L is great on fuel and still lets you tow around 7600lbs ish where as the 5.3L will let you tow closer to 9000lbs but gets approx. 15-20% worse fuel economy in town.
on a WT you can get a 2speed transfer case that gives you Auto 4x4, 4x4 HI, 4x4 LOW (the single speed transfer case gives you ALL TERRAIN mode instead of 4x4 LOW) all of them come with a G80 Auto Locking Differential.
@@lef.luisalbertocorral8642 so as for Z71 you can add the skid plates, dual tube shocks and decals no problem but the 4LOW is not something you can change at all.
@@johntack1049 no way, I’ve had a 5.3 most of my life. Just recently moved up to a 6.2 custom trailboss. And it hauls ass. But the 2020 trailboss with the 10 speed and 5.3 I had wasn’t slow or underpowered. 6.7 second 0-60 for a big ole truck is great The 6.2 is just a beast 5.5 0-60. Used to have a 2011 5.3 Silverado and I loved it. Did everything I needed.
I kind of want it over a regular vehicle. Easier to clean and not many electronic bullshits all over the place. I’d prefer a 6.5ft bed or longer and I’d sleep in it every night. With a cap / shell.
It’s 2021, soon to be 2022. That’s the best we can have for steel wheels? I had a W/T 1500 4x4 back in the early ‘90s with much better-looking wheels than those turds. C’mon GM.
Mitch - Steel wheels aren't the only option. You can get 17" BRIGHT SILVER PAINTED ALUMINUM WHEELS. It's a $350 option. My work truck has that option and it looks great. But, the question really is: Should Chevy force everyone to buy that option by making it standard equipment? The same thing goes for the chrome bumper. Chrome bumpers are a $200 option. Some buyers, especially fleet buyers, don't care if it's pretty.
@@JRudy17 I didn’t say anything about options. I simply stated that the base steel wheels on my ‘92 W/T were far more attractive than what’s currently offered.
Rubber floors are a must on a work truck that’s out and about in the mud. Great review.
Appreciate the kind works, cheers!
One of the better work truck reviews on video. Thanks , good job.
Thank so much , finally a video on a standard wt
I have almost the same model and am very happy with it. The ride is very smooth. I just had the krown undercoating done for the upcoming snow season.
Thanks for sharing Adam, cheers!
Does the center console seat back open or is there storage in the seat bottom in the middle ?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I LOVE WORK TRUCKS!!!!! FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
Cheers John!
I can’t stress how much I love the WT and the LT grilles. I’d happy put those grilles on a high country.
You and me both!
I like that auto locking rear end
Appreciate the kind words Jonas, cheers!

It did all that even after being repaired(?

This is a very common issue with SYNC unfortunately. GM went for functionality over a bigger flashy screen, which I feel is the right move.
perfect work rig. great video!
Band on Joey, appreciate the comment, cheers!
Have a 2020 1500 wt crew cab 4x4. No complaints 👍
Nice rig Joe!
Just got the same

Yes it does have way more not just equipment but better technology when towing, braking, etc.
Picking up one of these in about a month and a half to use as a daily driver.
Congratulations!

Agreed! Plus you can customize it as you wish for less money than buying a fully loaded truck.
truck for me baby!
Nice!

Do you think you can buy the package separately at the agency, mine is 2019 and it did not come out with that package
Hey Alberto most packages only come from the factory. Which package are you wanting to add?
@@WesternGMDrumheller z71 my truck is wt but But it does not have 4 low so I was wondering if it can be purchased separately

After watching this video truthfully there’s not much difference between the work truck and the LT truck
Just cosmetic shit that you don’t need!
Does a 5.3 seem under powered?

Agree!
What a truck is supposed to be.
Exactly. It’s essential nature, if I may say
How much is this 41k truck????????????
Depending on the time of year in Canada our Discounts from GM are between $2000 & $8000 plus sometime the dealer can take a little off too!
Everytime they say zed I think of zed from police academy.
Love it!
The 2.7 Tudbo Sucks ! Opt for the v6 or v8 !
is the v6 much better than the v8 in city driving or is there barely a difference ?
@@Lou.pm4 The 4.3 ecotech V6 is a bit better on gas mileage than the 5.3 ecotec V8 Unless towing a heavy load !
