  • A Delta Airlines Airbus A330-323 ( N808NW ) takes off from Gander International Airport ( CYQX ). The aircraft was originally on route to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport ( KATL ) from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol ( EHAM ) but diverted To Gander for a medical emergency.

    You can hear most engines make that nice buzzing sound when it's raining or very humid.

      @@razor_darkhorse It has something to do with the angle of attack of the air entering the engines, and the air density. I think moisture may affect how loud the buzz is too.
      I love it! Especially on-board, when seating ahead of the engine.

    The a330anda340 winglets are so unique they even cause that white trail when takeoff at certain weathers

      Those are vortices my friend. That happens when the wings are producing lift. It happens to every aircraft

      @@asasmith2696 You do tend to see the vortices more predominantly on the A330 than most other aircraft though… it’s pretty much standard to visibly see them with an A330 takeoff compared to the likes of the B777-2 which has no wing-tips

    Love it! The engines almost growled like a c5 tf39 when it passed by. Must be the CF6-80E engines.
