Hey Reese, thanks for this video. I’m very much considering getting this is exact car ever since I saw the 2021 edition video. Seems like overall exactly what I’m looking for. Appreciate the updated 2022 video to see how the newer version is and If anything changed. Quick question, if I were to order one, about how long of a wait are we talking? I’m located down in Austin Texas so I don’t know how much that would affect things if I tried to order from a dealer local here. I wouldn’t be opposed to flying in and driving out though if for some reason the process was smoother or quicker in St Louis haha. Have friends I could visit there anyways. Thanks for the vid!
@@goldenstang66 my dealership is still able to order Atlases. You have to order with the dealership. I can help you if you are willing to come to St. Louis.
The lack of ceiling vents in the 2nd row is a deal killer for me :/ too damn hot here in Southern AZ, gotta get that air flow directly in the face. It's an odd move for a car primarily targeted for families, rear facing kids get no air.
the second and third row seats have their own air conditioning. Plenty of air in AZ, I was there last summer with my family-- wife, two sixteen year old boys and ten year old daughter. The Atlas rules for space.
Hey Reese. Another great video. Can you honk the horn a few times in the next video you make on a 2022 Atlas so I can hear it. I’m sure you remember me now ! Thanks, Michael
@@vwguru Thanks so much Reese. Would you kindly tell me which video and what time in the video you pressed the horn so I can hear it ? I am having trouble finding which video as I have played them a number of times. Thanks so much. You’re the best..
@@vwguru that is the best part, I’m looking to buy one in a few more weeks and the atlas is the one suv I know that still offers that. The car is way too big and roomy to waste that extra seat for air hahaha, thank you that’s great to know and it has finalized my decision.
My guess is that they do not want to get overwhelmed with people wanting the V6 option any worse than they already are. The 2.0T versions rolled out first and my guess is that that was by design.
Help me understand. ITs a chip shortage. What does that have to do with a tow hitch??? In general, this is getting ridiculous blaming the sun & moon for rising and setting on the chip shortage!!! LOL
@@vwguru now This is Great insight! You know your product. Something lacking with many salespeople. Actively looking to purchase a 2022 SEL Atlas premium R-Line and want to work with someone knowledgeable. I’ve left you a couple of messages at your dealership as your in high demand.
Last week i’ve seen the 2022 model in china .. auto parking and parking sensor is touch in screen not buttons in mid cabinet .. also panorama but quick touch reales not hard button same before in 2021 model and lower .
This is the first of many sold order Atlases that are coming in!

The ordering process is pretty straighforward and easy. 16 weeks is the expectation, but if things get dicey, it could be 6 months.
@@vwguru You are unable to order online-we've tried :-(

@@vwguru Gotcha, well I’d expect a call from me in the near future to setup an order through yah. Thanks for the info!
You're welcome!
How do you activate the foot swipe trunk open option? I recently got this exact car for my wife. Thanks
Car must not be running. Kick straight in and step back on either side if the trailer hitch.

Nice spacious VW. Unfortunately, it does not have the RHD option for UK, AU, NZ, JP, and SG etc
Does it have ambient lighting like the Tiguan because I’m thinking about buying one for myself
It is a single color ambient light.
Is this suv better than the Jeep Grand Cherokee

C-pillar vents take care of the third row passengers. No need for those vents to be in the ceiling.
Bought it for my wife love the car
Congratulations!

Can you get a bench seat on sel premium r-line
Yes, you can!

What are the changes from 2021 model ?
2 new USB-C outlets in the rear row.
So the 2022 atlas does have the v6 option. Odd the VW site doesn’t give that option,

What’s the practice
Does the sel r line come with another option for home link if the fancy rear view mirror is not an option?
They are now coming with a new version of the Homelink mirror with a 4 year subscription of Homelink Connect.
how much horsepower, over 320
please let me know or same old model
No middle seat on the second row?
Captains chair version. If you get the bench seats there is a middle seat.
Can you open the trunk with your foot rather than pressing the button
Yes.
@@vwguru is it on all trims?
No, on SE w/Technology and above.

There is a chip in the hitch that communicates with park sensors and backup camera. It tells the rear sensors to turn off when towing.

This is the US spec 2022 Atlas.
You sound like Dave Chapelle 🙃
I hear that a lot.
Not much difference from the 2021.5
No difference compare to 2021, Just “R”🤣🤣🤣 Trash!
