Thank you for doing this! Have been researching for months and haven’t found anything else as detailed about this ship!! Also loved watching your daily videos when onboard 😊 heading out in 52 days 🎉
To be honest, I think the reason why it was cooler inside your wardrobe is because yes, the vent was probably place there and I think the reason why is cooler where the wardrobe area is is to keep the screen of the virtual balcony cool to as well so it doesn’t burn out. I’m thinking that’s the reason why it was cooler in your wardrobe area because vent is not only keeping the virtual balcony cool but at the same time it’s so happens that it’s connected to your wardrobe to as well. That’s my theory why I think your wardrobe was cool. It’s because the virtual balcony since it is being left on the TV or whatever the material it is made is trying to keep it cool so it won’t burn out.
So happy to hear that you enjoyed this ship. We’ll be on her in May. We were on her sistership last year and sadly we were not impressed. The art throughout the Quantum, was probably the oddest art we’ve ever seen on a ship. Two of the Alaska ports were canceled, the food wasn’t tasty and staff seemed as if they were ready to depart. I need to mention; we were on their first Alaska cruise of 2023, and I understand that can make a difference. We’re hoping to be as taken by the Ovation as you are.
Great breakdown, I'm taking the Ovation to Alaska in may, so excited! To the people trying to get their run in during the Endicot arm... hop on a treadmill instead you goofballs, we're going to Alaska to see Alaska!
Thank you for such a thorough video. You have sold me on ovation. I've been so confused about which ship I wanted to try out for my first trip to Alaska.
Really enjoyed all of your vlogs, especially the ship and food tour. We are booked on Ovation to Alaska next May. You mentioned a couple of times that the Windjammer got very crowded so was it really difficult to find a seat once you got your food?
Thanks, we are glad you have enjoyed the videos. Yes, it could be difficult to find a table, especially when you're walking around with your plate. We would find a table and sit down and leave someone there while we got our food so that we had a place to sit right away.
Hello from Brasil! I'm going on the same cruise next week and your videos were super helpful! And you guys are great, super nice and informative! I truly believe my trip is going to be better thanks to these videos :)
Can you tell me what times the shows typically run? My cruise ( in only 18 days!!!) dining is at 7:30 PM, but I also want to see the shows. Will this be a problem? On Ovation also :)
Hi guys , great review. We are planning to sail this next year from Honolulu to Sydney, 18 nights, a couple questions, The theatres you showed , are they a first come, sit any where you want or can you reserve seats ? We have never done a big cruise in the last 20 years , trying to get a feel about it. We are also planning a Virtual Interior Cabin , do you have a recommendation of choosing front ,mid or rear to get a cabin and a particular deck level for convenience? As an Aussie we are not use to tipping/gratuities (if you come to Australia no need to tip) what is expected on this ship , is there mandatory gratuity ? An 18 night cruise no doubt we will get to eat everything on the ship and most likely choose Early Dinning. 😋 Cheers Rod
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Yes the theaters were first come first serve so make sure to show up early if you want a good seat. Tipping was $16 per person per day and it was added automatically to our onboard account daily. Selling out of Honolulu sounds amazing. Enjoy your cruise!
I have already booked this cruise for July 2024. I am wondering if there are any gluten free food on the ship. If so, what kind? Have you tried any gf food?
I did see some signs that said gluten-free but unfortunately I didn't take note of which items they were. Here's a video I made on the free food on the ship. You might be able to see some of the gluten-free items there. ua-cam.com/video/DPTK5BvYufs/v-deo.html
Hi Super! I happened to see your comment. I’m gluten free too and recommend celiac cruises 😊 It was a wonderful, totally safe experience for people who have to be gluten free
The worst ship I have ever been on. Too many people on the ship shoes for long time for dodgems slightest rocking and everything shuts down.Bars too full. I go on a cruise to see the sea/ocean cannot see anything from within the ship in the promenade. Do a not have complete promenade deck.
👍 Thanks For Watching! Subscribe to Northern Viking Explorer.

@@ThatEmmaGirl Awesome! Looking forward to it!
do we have to pay extra for i-fly?
During our sailing there were some times that were free and then others that you had to pay for.
