- This is my first VLOG which documents our travel from Bangalore to Mumbai. This was during Unlock 2.0 times and we were really not sure what to expect. I hope that you like it. Comments & Feedback are welcome !!

We are planning to do a road trip from Mysore to Mumbai and were aprehensive about the road conditions etc, but after viewing your video, all the doubts vanished and now looking forward for the trip. Thank you for making the video realistically and its very informative.

Can you mention the timing of major city you passed. Bcoz i don't think it's easy to reach in 2 hrs from belgaum to satara

What do u mean by steep highway? If u r referring to ghats... then the only place u need to careful is the Mumbai pune expressway.. else every thing is fine
Hi sir .from Bangalore where v can stay at night? Because v can't drive continuously 1200 kilometres.
It's 1000 kms but if you are not comfortable, then you could stay in Belgaum or Hubli/Dharwad

Anytime is good, as Mumbai is not know for its weather... Monsoons can be little worrisome due to water logging. Not sure what u wanna see in Mumbai... but all the tourist places can be covered in 2 days

Sir.v are from bangalore.v planed to stay in pune for 2 days , lonavala, 2 days and mumbai 3days.v are 2 members.so is 30k is enough for this trip? Our plan is in budget so.v have alto 800 .
Sir it's difficult to say what budget will be enough.. as it depends on where you stay, what you eat and all that but based on your car mileage, try to calculate fuel cost + toll charges. Toll itself will be around 2300, both ways.

Nicely done… I’m planning to travelon Friday…. Heard that road conditions are poor… please update if you are aware… I am planning to start in the evening at 8 pm from Bangalore …is it ok to drive at night on BLr to Belgaum stretch ?.
From road conditions perspective, it's good. Night driving becomes only in the case of a car breakdown, else it's fine.
Sir, want to know what speed you have maintained to reach mumbai in 14 hours. What was your high speed.
Avg speed of 80 km/hr would do it. But nowadays the roads are not as good, so not sure if u can make it in 14 hours
The main problem in India is trucks use all tracks so we didn't get the actual benefit of the highways. In foreign countries trucks use last lane only
True that.. it makes us go all around them and don't forget Tolls where people without fastag come in those queues and delay others...

From Thursday to Sunday all weekend days so some are traveling to pilgrimages and some are returning to native so all toal plaza and road gets traffic jam, but u are the best sir reaching mumbai by 14 hrs .

If you tell us the number of halt you took and place where you had home food. I have booked my car and very soon planning to do Mumbai - Bengaluru आणि तुम्ही छान मराठी बोलता.
I am born and brought up in Mumbai.. tar Marathi tar bolta yenarach. As for the halts.. I didn't take any, except for birding, dog walks and lunch. We just stopped our car on the highway after Belgaum and had lunch. Hope this helps.
That bypass has to be at least 4 lane....there’s plenty of traffic.
Yes.. accidents are very common on this road
@@adventureonwheelz this is the reason I don’t drive on India’s roads yet. There is still a lot of danger. Wrong way traffic, poor sign boards, lane markings. While the roads in other stretches maybe good, all it takes is one bad stretch like this insanely small bypass, and you are dead or maimed for life. Plus I can bet 95% of us don’t know how to really drive on wide highways. So, even if you do everything right, there’s a 95% chance you are the victim of a road moron. Scary.

There are ghats as such... but u will encounter hills near Belgaum and Satara

You don't enter Pune city however if you reach Pune around 5pm, u will rin into some traffic.
Sir if i drive from bangalore to mumbai in my Karnataka registered vehicle, will the mumbai cops harass me?
They do stop out of state vehicles and check all papers, PUC included. So please keep all papers ready. Most of the time, i have been stopped while getting out of Maharashtra but not when entering
Sir, any pass required for enter mh? V plan to go shirdi via pune next week.. Its KA reg vehicle
No pass was required at that time. However, MH govt is asking for covid -ve report from Train and Air passengers.. but not if you are driving in. Good idea to check before hand though.

What was the average speed you were maintaining? Google maps shows almost 18 hours to Mumbai from Bangalore! You seem to have completed the journey in 15 hours.
If I do the math... covered 1000kms in 14 hours, so its 71kmph
And how many breaks you too including petrol/diesel. Your average speed was 71kmph but i want to know what speed you maintained
Really informative vlog, thanks a ton! So the problem patch is essentially Chitradurga-Davanagere and are the roads from Davanagere all the way to Dharwad six lane and smooth tarmac? Planning to undertake this journey next month, info would be very useful, had travelled in May 2019 last time and the entire Hubli-Chitradurga section was in tatters.
The road from Davanagere to Dharwad is not as bad, but there are certainly 3-4 places, where you will need to use the service roads. However, its much much better than Chitradurga to Davanagere... Happy Travels !!

I once did 5 years back in 12 hrs.. In my vw Vento.. Just 2 stoppage quick 15 and 10 min... But lovely video 👌👍informative
Yes, it can be done in 12 hours, if not for road conditions now and a lot of breaks that I took, so Caeser can be comfortable and I could do some birding on the way!!
@@adventureonwheelz yaaa caeser was adorable for sure.. Specially the shot taken from the read view mirror.. Delight.. I guess we cud do in 12 hrs because of the road condition way back in 2013..and we were just 3 of us.. More people more stoppages.. And I was already doing the return journey so wanted to reach home as early as possible 😅
I travelled 3 years back in 10 hrs from Bombay to Bangalore in my BMW520d through Express Way without stop .But lovely video and useful for travelers.
