Why did this movie get 54% tomatoes tho? People this is an amazing Christmas movie
@@RandomUA-camr99, a lot of people like this movie, including the Nostalgia Critic & Roger Ebert.
One of the coolest parts of this movie to me is the initial view of the train as the smoke rolls off of it. Beautifully done, well placed, and overwhelmingly effective.
Imagine this movie being made with today's technology
That whistle though. Never gets old! Hands down one of my favourite Christmas movies of all time, not a competition.
That whistle belongs to Sierra Railway #3, which was a locomotive featured in another of Robert Zemeckis' films (Back to the Future Part 3)
I don't care if than animation is a little off or the story is a little spooky, this is one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. The sound of that whistle and Tom Hank's glorious voice should be more than enough to make you want to watch this beautiful movie every Christmas.
It’s a traditions in my family every single year to have a warm snuggly bath light the candles grab a hot coco and watch this before bed … ❤❤

One of the best Christmas movies ever!
Yss Bruhhh
I agree.
To me personally it’s *the best*
True
Yes
This is one of the most memorable Christmas moves I've watched in my childhood....😢❤
The doubt the boy feels and the “ end of the magic,” has a different feeling now that I am an adult, when your more focused on work, taxes, responsibilities, etc, not so much on childhood wonder. I think that feeling makes this not only the best Christmas movie but one of the most interesting and well written plots of all time. Even when you look at the book, The artwork doesn’t have any flashing lights or bright colors that a kid would find out of this world and amazing, they’re simple and dull, but still very beautiful, but only in the minds of an adult. This works cause both the book and the movie are an adult remembering his childhood.
Yeah as we get older, we start having doubts about our old childhood beliefs.
5:53 this bit will always give me goosebumps!

*Same here, mate!*
Yeah.. I was really scared of that part when I was younger! 😆
@@dammypospisilMe too, I'm always really scared of that part, I think that part is one of the scariest parts of the movie.
This movie came out when I was in first grade; we had a class trip to see it in theaters. We were already familiar with the book, so you can imagine our hype of seeing it come to life on the big screen.
Good times.
And me I was 12 and 5th grade,I Just remember it
I've watched this movie every christmas season since i was 4 years old. It's such a special movie
Hey grandma. It's been four years since you passed but ill make sure I watch this movie every Christmas. Love and miss you so much ❤

Hello Steve
Everything 10/10. Attention to detail, The scores, graphic design, story EVERYTHING
Imagine this movie being remade with today's technology
My only minor nitpick with the movie is the lack of names for the characters. Other than that, the movie is PHENOMENAL.
since I was in elementary this was actually my favorite Christmas animated movie. every year of the month of december i always watch this movie and it never gets old and it makes me feel like I was traveling back to that year whenever I watch this. Christmas back then was so different from now maybe because I’m old now but hey I still believed in Santa Claus 😅 and oh by the way I’m 25 years old now and still I loved this movie ❤️🎄🎅🏻
This is one of the most nostalgic movies for us 90s babies I think lol just turned 28 myself. Seeing the train come barreling through this quintessential neighborhood blanketed in a snowy night is absolutely unmatched. It’s just magical!
The same Feelings ❤️ I'm also turning 25 this year, Also Charlie Chocolate factory, when I watch this movies I time travel to feel me I'm a kid again 🥺
Need to see this in imax. My absolute favorite Christmas movie. Watch every year. Can’t wait for the 4K release next year
They are making a REMASTER?!??
Wut?????
Nevermind I is have stupid I thought it was a confirmed thing
wait what
I literally just finished rewatching rn and said whike watching that they need to make a remaster OMG
The steam engine always brings me tears. For me the steam engine is a relic of a great era, people were more nice and respectful to each other. When I see a steam locomotive is like if I was watching one of my older folks.
Me too
What do you mean by people where nice and more respectful exactly.
@@ginamm7393 People were more corteous to each other, people in that era socialize more and participated more on social events. People back then didn't have "cellphone, tv, internet" addiction. People went out and engaged more in conversations with neighbors. Now a days is nothing but a group of mindless drones checking emails, working from home nailed to a computer screen, or because of our long working hour shifts people come home just to lay back and relax. Technology might be making us more advanced but it sure is destroying our human lives.
@@ginamm7393 people from this era are very independent. If somebody is in distress the attitude is " sucks to be you! " or " sounds like a personal problem to me. "
@@ginamm7393 When God is no longer present in the world of men, things start turning sour.

*I remember watching THE POLAR EXPRESS (2004) on TV, a long time ago, during Christmas!!!*
The Polar Express movie is so good, I remember I got scared of some of the scenes when I watched The Polar Express, and some of the scenes where also good when I first saw the Polar Express when I was a child, The Polar Express Christmas movie have always been good, it’s just that the scary feelings of watching the scary scenes in The Polar Express disappeared as I got older over time, and I nearly get teared up when I see The Polar Express now since The Polar Express Christmas movie gives this owerwhelming feeling, and the Polar Express is one if the greatest Christmas movies ever, and it’s good to rewatch The Polar Express when christmas is right around the corner in the middle of December, and rewatching The Polar Express when it’s Christmas evening in 24th of December or rewatching The Polar Express Christmas movie when it’s on Christmas day in 25th of December.

Bro this looks like what you see right when you click play on a PS4 game
If you look at the dad at 4:17 I can see that they used Tom Hanks face as reference.
Agreed this is the greatest Christmas movie of all time maybe even the best movie but here's something I noticed why @1:23 is Chris's (hero boy) voice so deep he has a higher pitched voiced through the movie but in this moment he sounds like his original actor you'll know if you watch the trailer hero boy sounds different and has a deeper voice that's because he was originally played by a different actor with a deeper voice
Speaking of Chris, his neighborhood must be full of heavy sleepers if they don't hear a train loud enough to cause an earthquake.
@@joshmontemayor6098 its a magic train i always assumed that by magic noone else could hear or see the train we see something similar to this with hero boy literally being unable to see santa until he believes
@@filmtheory783Going back to your original comment, if I remember correctly, the very first teaser trailer had Tom Hanks doing the voice of the boy since he did the motion capture performance. I’m guessing that trailer was made before they brought in Daryl Sabara to do the boy’s voice
I've been wondering about this and I don't know why now, instead of years ago when the movie first came out.
The little boy who first gets on the train in this scene in the beginning of the movie right, how come his sister did not get on the train along with him. It's just something to think about, it would have been nice to see brother and sister getting on the train together and seeing Santa Claus. A timeless and magical Christmas movie this is. love it, I do
sometimes i wonder that too i think it’s cause she was already a believer while the boy was skeptical and needed to board the train so that he could too believe
Chris was the only 1 in the whole neighborhood who even noticed the train. Considering how loud trains are, you'd think that it would've caused Chris' entire neighborhood to wake up.
@@joshmontemayor6098I’ve always found it weird how he was the only person in the neighborhood who heard the train
Fun fact: the main boy name is Chris, and the main girl name is Holly
(Also there is a toothless kid named Gus lol)
How do you know that 😊
*4:41*
The *EXPRESS TRAIN* wouldn't wake him up, now.

Conductor: All Aboard, Seatbelt every one
Arnold: Please let this be a normal field trip
Kids: with a friends No Way.
