Ma father has worked for 20 years in Sweden and now since 2017 he is retired and even some Swedish friends comes to live in Albania as retired and they like as well. 1200-1500€ pension of EU in Albania is very big money

Yeah they discontinued that which is a huge bummer for people who wanted somewhere cheap and relaxed for a year. There’s some speculations why they did it but it’s most likely to be in accord with the EU rules as part of the everlasting quest to be accepted. But yes, I believe it’s 90 days now.
That's right, sadly. It is 90/180 days now like the rest of Europe. Check the US embassy website in Albania for details. I hear resident permit options are available but there's some red tape to deal with. I'll look into those options, tax implications, etc. when I get there and talk to expats.

The thing is Albanians go abroad bcs of unemployment, economy and so on,if you have a decent job that pays well,then sorry James but Albania is a beautiful place to live,ppl are more friendly, hospitable and kind,once they trust you then you would see the difference between the two,you can live in Albania being poor but not in States, and that pal is something to consider too,happiness is something Albanians value more than being rich.health is key to everything, stay humble and healthy the rest will follow,take it as comes, one day at a time,embrace and enjoy life where you feel,hope your family are ok too,all the best and welcome back, cheers.
this is in Pogradec. I would highly recommend taking a bus out of tirana if you get the chance. Much of the charm and beauty of the country is outside of tirana

Something totally different. My friends in uk were shocked when I told I'm coming Albania so I figure it must be great as the average tourist not think about going.
