He sang Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion and A Whole New World from Aladdin with Regina Bell for the animated movie soundtracks
Yesssss A Whole New World is great too!
You beat me to it
Thanks for typing what i was going to type
YES!!!❤❤❤❤
Yes he did, I forgot all about his Disney songs.
Peabo Bryson, Jeffrey Osborne, and of course the late James Ingram (RIP 🙏), all fantastic.
Yes, all of those.
Yes, and Lionel Richie -- Love Will Conquer All!
Peabo Bryson - Can You Stop The Rain
Jeffrey Osborne- On The Wings Of Love
James Ingram- Just Once, 100 Ways, I DonHave The Heart
Yes! James Ingram's "Just Once" is a real keeper - just love this song and talk about a heart breaking scene in a movie - in "The Last American Virgin" was just so moving.
Growing up in the 80s and I loved their music. Still do to this day.
On The Wings of Love - Jeffrey Osborne is another early 80s song from a singer with a deep rich velvet like voice. Like Peobo, he can really touch your soul with his songs. Love to see you react to this beautiful gem.
Yes please, I love that song
Yessssss!!!
Great suggestion 🥰
Omg
I just posted about that song. These two songs pair so well together !
Great suggestion! Love that song. Great voice.
Besutiful song by Peabo👍👍👍
They dont make music like this anymore.
They certainly don't ....
If you’ll have ever watched the cartoon versions of Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast then you have heard the incredible vocals of Mr. Peabo Bryson. He sang the radio release versions of A Whole New World from Aladdin along with Regina Belle and Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion
“Can you stop the rain” and “somewhere out there” are some of my favorites of his.
Exactly!
@@kevinmarquiss2046 Pebo didn't do :Somewhere Out There", that was James Ingram and Linda Ronstadt.
@@kevinmarquiss2046 Somewhere Out There was James Ingram.
If you love this song by Peabo Bryson, then you would love can you stop the rain from falling and to hear him sing with Roberta Flack tonight I celebrate my love for you and one of my all-time favorites to hear him sing with Celine, Dion beauty and the beast and let’s not forget a classic Regina Belle A whole New World from the Aladdin soundtrack
Great suggestions ❤️🥰❤️
Jay & Amber, you'll love his "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" (with Roberta Flack)!!!
I can’t hear that song without thinking of Bo and Hope from Days of our lives. That’s how old I am. Lol. 😅😅
💯% !!!!!🥰❤️
That is a great song!
That is one of my favorite songs of the 70's and one that was early in Peabo's career.
Yes!!!
Great tune! Peabo has done some amazing work, including tremendous duets with Linda Ronstadt, Roberta Flack, and Celine Dion. A genuine artist.
Regina belle too - the Aladdin song - a whole new world and with Celine dion beauty and the beaat
What song did he do with Linda Ronstadt?
Somewhere Out There.
@@amym1885 That was James Ingram.
"Can you stop the rain" is my favorite Peabo Bryson song. Also try "Feel the fire" and "I'm so into you". This guy has an amazing voice!
Thanks for mentioning "Can you Stop the Rain" - great song that I haven't heard in ages so had to go and watch his video! 🥰
My favorite also. I like to go back every now and then, feels good.
Let the feeling flow...is a r&b classic too.
We love the Amberisms....keep em coming 🤣😂
Another awesome 80's ballad. We were more sensitive back then. 😎
. . . but not whiny about it! LOL!!
Everything was more back then.
As a 27-year-old, I've always been geared toward 90s R&B. However, 80s R&B is quite underrated.
27 yrs old know nothing about real music...90s is pure trash music sorry but true... REAL music is before the 90s ...80s music is not underrated if anything it's overated 40s 50s 60s 70s and 80s Best decades for catchy good real music.
@@bqkmg2037 For your information, some of my favorite music is from the 50s and 60s. Also, to the current generation, 80s R&B is underrated.
Rude much? and I grew up in the 80s, people are allowed their own opinions
@@marcussmith6805 Like I said "kid" your ONLY 27 you weren't alive and around in the 80s to say it's underated..so quit judging IF YOU WEREN'T THERE...IM 45 and lived through it and it was phenomenal...so STFU now.... maybe that's why I hate you young generations thinking you know it all.
80s R&B, especially the male voices, was typically more on the Adult Contemporary charts. Peabo, Luther V, James Ingram...wow some amazing voices. Imagine the 3 of them together.
90s R&B brought in the younger artists so it was more widespread. I can listen to R&B from both decades for hours and hours.
Mr. Peabo Bryson... a smooth soul legend! He has lots of classics. His earlier stuff is a bit more Quiet Storm and R&B-flavored, songs like Feel The Fire and Let The Feeling Flow. He has some duets with Roberta Flack like Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You and the Disney duets mentioned here. Other noteworthy songs: Learning The Ways of Love; I Am Love; Can You Stop The Rain; By The Time The Night is Over with Kenny G.
"Learning The Ways of Love " my fav tune 😊
James Ingram!
Hes my 70s/80s RnB GOAT.
A MUST!!❤
Oh yes, James Ingram , he is the GOAT!! You have great taste, my man!!!
YES YES YES❤❤❤
The song "Always" is my favorite
YES!
Love "Somewhere Out There", "Baby Come to Me" and "Just Once"
Such a great underrated 80's Ballad. You'd like "On the Wings of Love" by Jeffrey Osborne as well.
This song was featured in the soap opera Santa Barbara back in the ‘80s.
You pronounced it right Jay. This great singer has had duets with some of the best - Regina Bell, Celine Dion, Roberta Flack. Miss this era of great singers
Peabo Bryson…. just love his vocals💕
peabo bryson, james ingram, kieth washington, jeffrey osborne, freddie jackson, angela bofill, patti austin, stephanie mills, howard hewett, atlantic starr, teddy pendergrass if you like r&b to name a few heres your list. like i said there are others im 50 and i remember the good time
We had a way of making love songs steamy in the 80s without being too graphic ..... shoo that's hot stuff. 🔥 imagination, take the wheel ...... ❤
We???
Oh yes, Peabo Bryson . That man can sing and has many hits. Please go down the rabbit hole. Try Can You Stop The Rain. Beautiful song.
I forgot about that one. He has so many hits.
The all time Peabo song when you can hear his true range is "Can You Stop the Rain". Peabo is full throated tenor . As others have said his Disney duets are spectacular: A Whole New World with Regina Belle and the beyond, beyond Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion. One of the truly greatest singers ever.
Just Once - James Ingram. J/A this is another amazing early 80s singer with a deep rich voice that would be great to see you react to.
Yessss!!
& also I Don’t Have the Heart by James Ingram.
This is one of my favorites by him! This is a beautiful song! The chorus just does something to you!
Yeah, it's impossible not to sing the chorus. So catchy and melodic.
Agreed. It's so uplifting. It sends you on a magical ride.
No harm meant, but there are no more songs and singers like this today. This music was what I came of age with. Just beautiful! You guys there are so many more singers to react to like Peabo Bryson: Freddie Jackson, Jeffrey Osborne, more Luther Vandross Alexander O'Neal. The ladies: Angela (pronounced Ahn-juh-luh) Winbush, Regina Belle, Phyllis Hyman, Vesta Williams, Mini Howard, more Anita Baker, Melba Moore. Y'all, there is so much music waiting for you guys!
No harm in telling the truth.
Peabo Bryson has a great voice, he is so dreamy.
❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️
I think we took for granted the days when vocalists like Peabo had to be this good to survive as an artist. There used to be a love of the craft. In my opinion there aren't many artists of today's industry that have this type of vocal charisma. I LOVE Peabo! Check out his duet with Regina Belle from the movie Aladdin "A Whole New World".
I have always loved Peabo music from the beginning of his career ❤
One of my top four fav singers alongside Luther , Jeffrey Osborne and Howard Hewitt never had the recognition they deserve ❤❤❤❤❤️🇬🇧
Yes Howard Hewitt "Say Amen" is my all time favorite!
@@maryewilson2009 I just went to a concert in Liverpool in the UK watching him with Shalamar at the beginning of June.🇬🇧
@@juliebaines6705 Oh I am so jealous! I LOVE Shalamar. The second time around. Yes. You got me singing now!
You need to hear Luther Vandross (Dance With my Father). Such a emotionally touching song on the R&B side
Please listen to "Feel The Fire" and " I'm So Into You" by him (Peabo Bryson) these two really also show off his vocals but way much more .❤
These are what they should have started with. This is from his later repertoire. 🌟
He was the dude in r&b before Luther unseated him. He first became known when he sang a few ballads with Roberta Flack back in the 70's and then he started doing his own stuff and got us with his smooth soulful voice. He had soul hits like:
I'm So Into You
Can You Stop The Rain
Let the Feeling Flow
Reaching For the Sky
Feel the Fire
etc.
This is such a beautiful love song about second chances. I have lots of great memories tied to this amazing song from the 80s.
Peabo Bryson and Luther Vandross are the best in this type of music hands down
Don't sleep on James Ingram
The late James Ingram is another strong, soulful singer to hear : Just Once and One Hundred Ways
That's what you call a Power Ballad .. Always A Favorite!!!
One of the best singers in the music history!!!!
Now this is what I'm talking about! Nice rich voice of Mr. Peabo Bryson. You guys, the next Peabo Bryson song you hear has got to be the Aladdin song from the animated Disney movie in 1992. Peabo Bryson sings with Regina Belle the song "A Whole New World". After that, " Beauty and The Beast" song based on 1991 animated Disney movie. Peabo Bryson and Celine Dion sang together. Your children would probably really enjoy these two movies also. You guys would enjoy them, too, as adults. I was around 17 years old when these songs and movies came out. I really like both of these movies to this day.
❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️
"Tonight I celebrate my love for you " He sings with Roberta Flack. Beautiful song
Peabo is a Southern gentleman from South Carolina. I'm sure you guys have heard him and never knew, especially if you grew up watching Disney films! His solo career goes back into the 70's! Two of my favorites are "I'm So Into You" and "Feel The Fire"!!
"Feel the Fire" and "I'm So into You" were in heavy rotation during the slow jam parts of the early 80's house parties. Ah, memories... 😊
Thanks you guys for listening to this. My late partner introduced me to Peabo (you're pronouncing it correctly). We had many romantic evenings listening to Peabo, Gino Vannelli and Anita Baker. We saw all three of them live, such great music.
Oh Anita Baker! Yes love her!
Always loved how the chorus is the slowest part of this song.
This song is a classic, they don’t make music like this anymore.
What a great singer, had a chance to meet him he’s a great guy too.
This song makes me feel like am floating on clouds ☁️
His voice is beautiful!!!
You're going to fail in love with his songs and voice ❤❤❤
You guys are my absolute favorite. Ambers reactions are best.
Amen, brother : Amber was pullin' them out!!
I love how Peabo phrases, "once in a lifetime" right before the chorus. And, as others have noted, you said his name right the first time.
Keep the Amberisms coming!!!
This song got me my girl back when I was in high school…will always be special to me. 👍
Oh boy this takes me back....love his sound and this song! ❤
Beautiful song 💕💕💕
one of the BEST Voices: Also his Duet "tonight I celebrate my love", After 7, Freddie Jackson AND I feel you all should discover Tevin Campbell.
This was one of the ultimately romantic songs of that time.
My generation had the best of all music! (I'm 59 I was 16 in 1980 so I was roller skating in the 70's, listening to my older brothers and sisters music in the 60s. Going to the clubs in the 80s. And by the 90s, just enjoying what music they did put out that was good, but already pining for the music I grew up with. Lol
Peabo a legend for those who don't know he made some beautiful music im not gone lye
Reaching for the Sky and Feel the Fire are must listen by Peabo
Let your feelings flow. Is a must listen too.
Love this song. His voice is so mellow.
Peabo Bryson IS the man. His voice 😅s SO great alone or in duets like Celine Dion. He is one of my All time male artist. so many songs & hits. He sings with such ease & clarity. Ty for the post & your reactions\incite. please check out ‘Tonight I celebrate my love for you’ & his duet with Regina Bell ‘Without You (Love theme from Leonard part 6’) & he is so very versatile.
Another song heard constantly at weddings and house parties when I was a child. So much great memories, so many no longer with us 😢, but the memories remain. A great song. I can actually see in my mind's eye scenes and ppl dancing and walking around. ❤❤❤
Love me some Peabo Bryson! Beautiful, soulful voice.
Wow! Chills and goosebumps. Beautifully written song with beautiful vovals. ❤
This guy had an incredible voice. Since you went way back, go back even further If you want to here a fantastic voice review (Sarah Vaughan) and listen to Misty.
Ah.. One of my favourite songs of him, i also love his song "Love Always Finds A Way" and his duets like Tonight I celebrate my love for you with Roberta Flack, Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion, and his version of A Whole New World with Regina Belle..
And if you're looking for another songs like this, I suggest songs of James Ingram, Jeffrey Osborne, Al Jarreau, or Luther Vandross...
Another vocalist who has a strong, soulful, and versatile (several great duets) is the late great James Ingram. Not sure if you’ve reacted to him, or not.
Feel the Fire, I'm So Into You, Reaching for the Sky--Peabo's 3 best songs to me!
Peabo Bryson is very well known for doing memorable duets with popular female singers such as Roberta Flack, Linda Rondstat, Celine Dion, Minnie Riperton, Regina Belle, and Chaka Khan. Disney has used him a few times for singing some of the most memorable duets for their movies, including Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast.
In the late 80s and early 90s, the radio station had the "Quiet Storm" and played all the smooth R&B songs. So much talent and so many intimate songs that were sexy without being vulgar. I miss the good ole days ❤
Peabo with Kenny G, Hope we get to love this time. The wonderful sax of Kenny G with Peabo's voice is amazing,
Yes.. he can sing and he still got it. Saw him perform about a year ago and he killed it. "I'm So Into You" is pure fire!!
Peabo Bryson's voice is certainly perfect for movie soundtracks, that's why he has done several over the years.
My husband and I were truck driver team. And up in some of the north east states we would deliver around 2am and right by where we delivered to, was a 50s Dinner. And they played that style music and my husband would be the only ones in there, and we would get up and dance. And it would tickle the workers. Thank for bringing back great memories
Another great song by him is " Can you stop the rain".
Exactly correct...PEE BOW. His voice just soars like a "ribbon in the wind". Makes perfect sense!😃
Michael Masser is not a well known name like Bacharach or Holland Dozier Holland but he wrote a bunch of great songs.
'Can You Stop the Rain' is my favorite from Peabo Bryson. A classic that was played on Video Soul hosted by Donnie Simpson when there was good music.
Obe of my favorite singers. Such a rich full voice!! And this is a great song!!
Peabo, James Ingram, Jeffrey Osborne, those were some of the amazing voices from my childhood. Beauty and the Beast, A whole new world, Tonight I celebrate my love for you, Can you stop the rain,... anyone of these. And if you haven't yet, James Ingram and Patti Austin had some beautiful songs from Waaaaaaay back
"With You" - Tony Terry
"As We Lay".- Shirley Murdock
"Congratulations" - Vest Williams
"Don't You Know What The Night Can Do" - Steve Winwood
That was a very beautiful song in its time, and it still does today ❤️
Wonderful song! Peabo is the epitome of excellence. Beautiful memories of 1984.
I know you guys love Celine Dion. She does "Beauty and The Beast" with Peabo Bryson (yes the Disney song)!
And another Disney movie duet with Regina Belle and Peabo Bryson to the movie Aladdin the song , A Whole New World
Finally! Peabo is fantastic...he has many beautiful duets..I love his duet with Linda Ronstadt...Somewhere Out There"!
Linda Ronstadt performed that #1 duet with James Ingram. My fave❤
@@Braedensground you are right, I forgot!
What a voice
Peabo Bryson…what a voice…heaven scent. Check out him and Roberta Flack - Tonight We Celebrate Our Love. Just gorgeous.
One of the great modern era, R&B crooners. His duets with Celine Dion, "Beauty And The Beast", Roberta Flack "Tonight I Celebrate My Love", and Regina Belle "A Whole New World" where big hits. His cover of Al Wilson's "Show And Tell" was also a hit for him.
This song is popular and still being played in radios here in the Philippines. That shows how Filipinos love great ballads. ❤
I'm a massive fan of Peabo, his voice and tone is so pure and powerful and clean. His obvious hits were duets with Beauty And The Beast and A Whole New World and he has collaborated with some of the best female singers of our time. It's obvious that his talent is immense. My personal favourite is called Closer Than Close.
Amber, I guarantee you will absolutely love this song. It really showcases his voice so well. Please give it a listen, you wont be disappointed.
Hey Amber, I like your metaphors. They make your analysis more appealing and interesting . You break things down way more accurately and intelligently than others I have sampled which is why I keep coming back. Both you guys are very articulate and engaging with your natural charm...Blessings!!
1984 - Bons tempos... Beijei muito ouvindo Peabo...🥰😉😘 - 🔰Kisses straight from Brazil!!
🔰Since 1984 I've been listening to this song right here in Brazil... Peabo is still going strong, even after 4 decades!! Que Deus abençoe esta linda voz! Peace!😇
Peabo Bryson's "Can't you Stop the Rain" is another of his great classics.
One of my favorite songs from the 80s. Always on the radio ❤🙏
Finally... you got to him. He has so many songs to choose from. He song songs you didn't even know you loved on some Disney movies. Pebo Bryson, and Freddie Jackson... held it down like Luther Vandross
Peabo, Luther, MJ, Journey, Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Billy, Bruce, Sting, Boy George, George Michael, and a few more. Yeah, male singer wise, that's what my 80's sounded like. Glad you finally got to Peabo, a lot of great songs and some amazing duets. A couple done with your girl Linda Ronstadt.😍😍😍
This song is so timeless and it is always used in high school prom.
I also love Peabo's collaboration with Kenny G in "By the Time This Night is Over"
This man's voice .... back up the Brinks truck filled with Gold!! I love his mix of Pop and R&B ... he sneaks it in here perfectly!! Yes Amber, Silky and Smooth!! 😀😆😉
Super smooth string arrangement in here too!!
Thank you both for reacting to this one!! ❤️
@RobSquadReactions
Have to hear "Can You Stop The Rain"!!! Awesome song!!!!
I LOVE this song! Omg one of my favorite songs despite it being a break up song. His voice is just silky smooth and amazing.
