Well I don't know about you but I ant half proud to say that this man is from Britain,a stones throw away from where I live yet I never had the privilege to meet the fella. what a bloody legend he is. I would really love to have a friend just like him but trying to find a man like him these days is very hard. RIP FRED....
I'm from the place called Burscough he mentioned, and now live in Dewsbury (where he found 2 falks lent up against a factory wall), life is full of coincidence. RIP Fred Dibnah.
Fred SADLY missed...great to hear his voice..loved his accent and words he used..?.what a bloke.. you can not deny FRED WAS A MASTER STORYTELLER...AS HE WAS A MASTER WITH ANY CHALLENGE ( TASK) HE EVER TOOK ON
What a fantastic listen 👍 I was fortunate last wkend to be able to look around sadly what is left of the great mans home and workshop tackle, followed by a visit to his statue and pay my respects at his resting place.. RIP Fred you will always be missed ..
I'm from Ireland and I some how came across this on u tube I watched every video shamefully I never heard of this man until now. I can't explain my feelings for this man only to say for the last few weeks all I think about is him and wish I had him as my dad . He really was salt of the earth and a real English man . I cried looking at some of the videos I really wish he was still around .. Rest in peace fred Dibnah. Ps can anyone tell me where I can visit the house it's on my wish list .
Adrian Geraghty Hi Adrian. Thanks for the comment. There are loads of Fred videos on UA-cam..which is great! His house and yard is sadly now being sold of bit by bit by the current owner. You can still spend a night there and sleep in Fred's former bedroom. Check out the Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre on either facebook or the website and all the details are there for you.
Another Irishman here that loves Fred ,he was a great character, he kind of reminds me of my grandfather in his attitude towards life ,and a real man's man ,not one ounce of political correctness ,just says how he feels ,I really have had some great laughs at Fred he was funny and tough as a pair of good working boots ,rip Fred
How about this for coincidence? He mentioned struggling with a chimney in Burscough (where I was born) and finding 2 steam roller falks in Dewsbury (where I now live). RIP Fred Dibnah- a complete one off!
I did see him on a lecture tour about a year before he died and he came across as a very genuine man. He lived by his values and for that he should be respected
Mate you r the man IV always wanted to be u have influenced my life n I’m so glad u did n from a man to a man you will always be my hero 🦸♀️ deffo god bless u Fred big love to u n yours always Fred 🇬🇧
The wife just gave me the come to bed look. Wink wink. I'm still Sat downstairs headphones on. Not moving. No man turns down an evening with Fred Dibnah. Sweet dreams FD.
Spooky. Sat downsters with headphones on just finishing the 90 minutes. Everyone else has gone to bed! 'Er indoors in no position to give me the eye however as she has the lurgi. i would much rather listen to this than watch the retrospective stuff where everyone is talking about Mr.Dibnah. Cannae stand it!
@@Parknest Alison is Joan Collins he's said that loads of times. I think he liked suzi the best because she never wanted anything from him but she did run off and leave him for another man. Lol.
Just listened to the crash story, wow Fred you could tell a story. Am goin to bed now as its4:18 am !, ill listen to rest tomorrow. A truly wonderful man, and a great engineer. Rip.
Could listen to this over and over again. Great thanks for uploading 👍 wish he was still alive today so I could go have a chat with him and maybe give him a lift with something
Well said. Fred was a total one off. Ain't no other Fred Dibnahs'. RIP sir! I'm from the place called Burscough that he struggled with a chimney, and now live in Dewsbury, where he found 2 steam roller falks. Life is filled with coincidences.
I thinking what makes his stories so interesting. Millions workers made same work, but he made it great show. He loved it so greatly and want told it to everybody. If you do not love it, it`s just stack of bricks. Nothing to tell.
i have heard the story about how he had to drive the steam roller into a stone wall to stop her running away I understand he had to replace the front forks because the originals was broken
I have lost count the amount of times I have watched his series and will keep doing so.
"I'm the silly Bastard that forgot to take the lens cap off me camera" What joy, spontaneous guffaw from me. Priceless!
The world is a better place with people like him. Godspeed Fred
we wont see the likes of Fred ever again. Balls of steel.
The finest ever Englishman.
If you get bored you can turn it off and come back again in a bit 😅 BIG LOVE FOR FRED
