Hi Steve. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful systems. From the sublime to the supernatural. All are so impressive. I thought that I had an obsession - turns out I'm just normal 😂. Greg
What’s so great about this system viewer of the day is how international it is. Also, how informative it is and how it offers the viewers a great chance for ideas. Lastly, it shows how important alone time is for everyone.
Same. Part of me wants to build a cool system like these, the part that knows how broke I am says I should just stick with the setup I have. 14 powered Wi-Fi speakers scattered about the house, 2-250GB thumb drives, full of music, plugged into my router, and an app to run it all. I've never enjoyed a sound system more in my life.
@@danmarjenka6361 Agreed. However the setups featured in this video all seem to be more gadget oriented, and brand focused than pure music loving. But, what do I know about it? Nothing at all.
I love watching the viewers system videos and seeing all the amazing systems. Everything from the "modest" and "budget" systems all the way through to the incredible custom built systems....all put together with a single shared goal...to just enjoy listening to music. I spent a number of years in my 20s selling hifi and I loved putting together a system for a customer that gave them the most smiles per (£)pound spent. It didn't matter if you had £500 or £50,000 to spend, I always made sure you loved the system you bought!
What often surprises me about some of the audiophiliac viewer systems is the number of people with very nice, very expensive, systems... playing in rooms with bare walls and hard bare floors, and speakers shoved hard back in corners...
Love these videos Steve! Very cool to see my modest little set-up featured on here next to these absolutely incredible systems! Keep doing what you’re doing! -Murph
Thanks for the addition in your video Steve! So lovely to see everyone's systems. Mine is the one featured @ min 8:25 - but I must admit - my system looks slightly different today as I have an even better main reel-to-reel machine and since have added two more VPI turntables to go along with the magnificent VPI Avenger Reference. I have now added a VPI HW-40 Anniversary Direct Drive w/ Koetsu Black Goldline & a VPI Scout 21 currently rocking a brand new (as of yesterday) Audio-Technica AT33EV moving coil. Also I no longer have any of the Cary Audio gear. Prima Luna amplification & Mytek Liberty II DAC + Mac mini do the digital playback honors these days. Incidentally, I rotate between a Kiseki Purple Heart N.S., a second Koetsu Black Goldline, and a Phasemation PP-200 moving coil cartridges. That's the beauty of VPI's uni-pivot tonearm designs. Swapping different carts/arms combinations is a snap! Once again thanks for the addition. I am must humbled. Oswaldo Martinez LTBS (Weston, FL)

You’re on to something very special with these features and I just want you to know that your efforts are appreciated. Thanks again!
I must admit, after seeing some of these beautiful and super interesting systems, I started to get a little self-conscious about my own. Lo and behold, there mine was towards the end! Thanks for showing it! That makes my day!
You made my day yet again for the second time first featuring my reel to reel on your very first viewer system slideshow and now my turntable and Schiit stack thanks again Steve!! 25:15 to 25:40
Steve, as others have said, I love love viewing other's systems. But please, read the descriptions for all the systems you show. YES! Please bore us with the details!!! That's why I'm watching. Please don't short sell any viewer who has taken the time to document their system. WE WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
What a *wonderful* array of systems. I especially love the mid-century modern style of furniture in many of the systems. I think their simplicity and beauty perfectly accent the gear, especially a lot of the vintage gear. Well done everyone!
Agreed. I imagine the amount of passion that has gone into assembling these systems. Parsing out the best pieces and making them all work together. We just viewed the results of 1,000's of hours of effort to create this collection of unique systems. Anyone with $ can just buy the audio mag system due jour. These are bespoke.
Nice to see a few bookcases with actual books in them. I've noticed the vast majority of viewer systems have no books anywhere in sight. I guess most audiophiles aren't big readers.
Thanks Steve for choosing the pic of one of my many beloved and carefully collected speakers - the custom designed Sony APM 77W Deluxe Edition, the only pair existing in the world - and showing it at the end (at 26.30)! I think it would be interesting for your wievers to see some of my other systems as well (pics were sent on 10 of them!) in a near future little longer wiever's daily show, maybe one day...they are all special and sound and look wonderful. Wish you all ... the best! ... a bluesman...
I like it that you show vintage, as well. I do have fond memories of Pacific Stereo in the 70s and Cal Stereo. Ahh those stacked boxes. I still have my collection of Lafayette catalogs from the 70s. I even have Radio Shack catalogs with Arthur Fiedler endorsing Realistic. I was always a fan of ESS, RSL, Marantz, I still have my 2270 and my Pioneer CT-F 1250. I bought a brand new Dual CS-708q, new in the box off ebay a couple of years back for 300 bucks. I have been an audio nut for 50 years, now. I even have my Superscope TD-28 8 track player. When I was a teenager in the bad old days, I almost bought a Thorens. Guess what, I still have that mustard yellow brochure. When I use my system the feelings of those long ago days come back. I'm a teenage again with a cool system.

Cheers to all whose systems were chosen to be shown here. An amazing, varied and inspiring collection indeed and I hope that you continue this signature broadcast; connecting us musicheads across the globe and which is surely one of the very best things about the audiophiliac show. Aces Steve.
What a fabulous parade of hi-fi! Thanks Steve for the time you take in presenting it. If there's a next time I'll submit my photos to see if they make the cut, I did buy a new integrated amp and phono stage, maybe that'll do it!
Those speakers you didn't know from Germany are ME Geithain. They are active monitors, as good as Genelec. They have been used (and are still used) by the "German BBC" (national German TV broadcasting) and they are coaxial and cardioid. Very expensive but extremely good.

Wow! Thanks for showing my rig! It’s changed since then. I replaced the Sonys with Caintuck Bestys and stuck a Cambridge AX35 CD player in there. Also I back ordered the Decware Super Zen. Steve, Regarding Goren's system in Croatia, the year 1977 I'm afraid, is in error. The Technics SL PS670A cd player was made from 1994 to 1996, and the RS BX747 tape deck was made from 1993 to 1996.

Hi, Bradley! Thanks for watching Steve's video so carefully. Yes, Steve mispronounced the year of the CD player - I bought it new in 1997, not 1977, of course. I bought Tape Deck used a few years ago, so I don’t know exactly what year it comes from. If you are interested in any more details, here is a copy-paste of the email I sent to Steve; Hi, Steve! Hi Steve, this video is better than going to an audio exhibition any day of the week. You are showing us real life audio gear that is owned by the average music lover. Well done.
Gotta get those flower pots off those zu audios asap! No way couldn't do that, seen it happen too many times, discoloration from the sun or even moisture, bound to happen.
Since many comments are from people lamenting being left out, and the fully detailed first part was a bit of an overkill, i humbly suggest to just show the systems with a number, maybe staying on the pictures a little longer, without going into many details so to accomodate more. The comment section is where questions could be asked about specific systems with their respective owners breaking it down, i.e. " i loved system no. 7 could you please describe it in details?".

Some amazing systems, but it really astounds me how oversized some of these are for the room size they are in.

Hi, Steve!
Greetings from Croatia!
Here is my application for the viewer system of the day.
It can be said to be a vintage system. An integrated amplifier (NAD 302) and speakers (Celestion 3 MkII, which serve me today as a set of secondary speakers), as well as a CD Player that is only 2 years younger than them, were my first purchases of audio equipment ever, but still, after almost 3 decades, still work and sound great. I’ve never been too much in the analog world - I grew up with CD media, but I’ve always loved tapes, so a few years ago I got the Technics tape deck I dreamed of as a kid. It’s almost unbelievable how well that whole system sounds to this day.

- CD Player: Technics SL-PS670A (from 1997)
- Integrated Amplifier: NAD 302 (from 1995)
- Speakers: Monitor Audio BR6 (from 2006)
- Spare speaker set: Celestion 3 MkII (from 1995)
- Interconnection cables: Tara Labs Prism 22
- Speaker cables: Audioquest Typ 4
Thanks and all the best!

Moerch (The tonearm in one of The first systems) is pronounced “merk” as in “jerk”....sort of 🙂 That’s Danish Language fer ya...
I hear Art Dudley smiling somewhere.
Has anyone tried using these big speakers for home theater channels?
I had an all-horn theater I ran for a few years sound was far better than any theater.
Hi Steve, this video is better than going to an audio exhibition any day of the week. You are showing us real life audio gear that is owned by the average music lover. Well done.
Steve’s soul patch is getting pretty intense.
No one has Harman/Kardon, that is pretty sad. I have Harman/Kardon.
Curious where Chel ( 13:40 ) picked up that audio stand / book shelf?
Gotta get those flower pots off those zu audios asap! No way couldn't do that, seen it happen too many times, discoloration from the sun or even moisture, bound to happen.
my JBLs actually sounded better after the flower pot rings but do NOT use geraniums
@@user-ex9zm7bg3x lmao, hilarious.
Love the idea of a 24K tt counterweight. When SHTF, grab the counterweight!
Could you please review the Willsenton R300B Single-ended Class A Integrated Amplifier?
