Excellent video! I found taking the BART train to Richmond and Amtrak Capitol Corridor train an excellent & pretty cheap way of getting to Sacramento. I bought my Amtrak ticket on the train & it was an easy transaction, just be prepared to show id though driving license etc. I decided to buy my ticket on the train as I saw another guy at Richmond struggling to use the touch screen Amtrak ticket machine. And despite Richmond having a sketchy reputation I found the BART and Amtrak stations perfectly safe mid-morning and late afternoon.
That was a GREAT video. Thank you SO MUCH. Now all my fear is gone. You made it look so simple, so now I'm confident I can make this trip easily on my own.
Good updated info. We are coming in on the California Zephyr and read where catching a BART train to OAK airport was easier from Richmond than from Emeryville.
I was just at Richmond like 2 months ago in Richmond. Is the easiest transfer point from Capital Corridor to BART as both of the stations have an underpass that connect to each other
