I'm gonna watch the movie tmrw
CRINGE. I think Peach was kinda sus.
@@Cybertron-HallOfRecords what did you say…?!💀🤨
Everything I could’ve wanted from a Mario movie. Sure the pacing was fast, but I had an absolute blast.
Your comment is nice, So I’ve looked at it twice
POETRY
@@TJS2009 I never looked at it that way, wow.
To me the pacing was really fast at the start then after the dk fight with Mario the pacing felt slowed at most parts.
Baby Luigi (the greatest mario character ever) was in it so that automatically makes it a 10/10
Baby Weegie
It made me cry
Yes
Baby Luigi was ugly.
@@iWillSuckYourC0ckLilbro no he isn’t
I get why Luigi was taken as Mario needs a compelling reason to try and fight bowser
Luigi was totally sidelined, let’s hope for a Luigi’s mansion sequel lol
Bruh it felt like every character was sidelined except mario
4:40 I was screaming inside with joy when I heard that iconic: "Yoshi!" Sound from that cracking egg.
Waluigi fan when they see the mario movie: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-LUIGI
One thing that I think is clever is that it's Princess Peach who teaches Mario how to traverse the obstacle course, which is full of gimmicks seen in the levels in 2D Mario games, and in the games she doesn't do that because she's kidnapped. It makes me wonder if she actually thought him how to do it when they first were acquainted with one another so that at any point when she's kidnapped, she will have someone to do it for her.
Dude, you just came up with a good beginning for the Mario franchise as a whole. It sounds so sweet and wholesome. If the first Mario game had an intro cutscene back then, that would be it. Then the adventure would begin.
Was Peach’s personality like in the game or more like Daisy? I haven’t watched it yet but seen the trailers
@@user-nx9ec1sb9h Her personality was probably in the middle from what I saw, there's some vulnerability to her as she's a target for whatever sick fantasy is in Bowser's mind, but her bravery is what makes her a good leader and a hailed headed hero to the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom.
One thing I love the most is we see how much Mario cares about Luigi. From saving him from bully’s, to saving him from bowser. It’s a great relationship, hope we get Luigi saving Mario in a Luigi’s mansion movie.
I just got back and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. It brought back so much nostalgia with the characters and music and I loved seeing glimpses of the original game which my kids grew up on and I loved seeing Donkey Kong. I thought Chris Pratt did a great job. The mid credit and post credit scenes were good and gives me hope that maybe we will see another movie.
Maybe? Yoshi was shown at the end. They’re definitely going to be in a sequel
Yoshi was in the movie.
on their journey to the kingdom of Kong's you see a horde of Yoshi's where one of them looks at Mario eating some fruit with envy.
But this was only for like... 5 sec?
If a 2nd movie comes out having more focus on Luigi and Yoshi would be great :)
@TwinGamer14 are you seeing new super Mario bros movie
Yeaa I saw that but as you said, it's hard to truly count that as a Yoshi appearance as there wasn't a big role. Thanks so much for watching!
@@EmSwizzle Hardly an appearance yes, but an appearance nontheless.
but aside from the Yoshi part as a Luigi fanboy I was sadden to see Luigi didn't get enough screen time.
Imo making the movie 10min longer where they focused more on Luigi exploring the dark world, maybe with some Boo scenes as a reference to Luigi's Mansion would have been great.
Great review btw keep it up :)
2nd Movie could be focus on Yoshi and Mama Luigi
The annoying thing is that we knew Yoshi was going to appear because his egg was in the wedding scene, so I wish there was Wario and Waluigi scene for the post credits scene.
The thing with Yoshi is I think this shows that the next movie wouldn't be Galaxy the brothers have to go back to Brooklyn to get Yoshi who is stuck there can't do that in space
The movie was fantastic
Critics hated it. That was the single reason why I decided to watch it and didn't regret it
If the critics hate. Just know movie is good.
If the critics love it. Just know the movie is trash
Movie critics are the most worthless part of the industry
Too true
I'm watching the movie tomorrow
Me too
@@adrianamarcinkova9383 cool bro hope you will enjoy
@@lev4033 did you watch it already? (if so wha'd you think)
Im at target to get snacks for the movie today
I love the movie it isn't a cinematic masterpiece, but it is still good
I'm gonna wait until the movie is on digital hope it's worth it
I'm watching the movie tomorow with my friends
Cool me too
I hope that there is a Mario movie 2 because I really wanted to see Rosalina and Yoshi (there was a scene with a bunch of yoshis but I just would like something about our classic Yoshi Mario duo). I also wanted more scenes with Funky Kong I think he only appeared once
I just got out the theater and this movie was awesome 🔥 this movie literally made me feel like a little kid again
Whats up with the reviews giving it bad score on rotten tomatoes? Imo 7/10 is perfectly reasonable.Mario fans can easily add a point or two. Its not perfect,it has its flaws but its faithful to the source material and still enjoyable to watch. But its not a bad movie by any means. The reviews make it sound like it completely sucks.
It's a 4/10.
Rotten Tomatoes shouldn’t be trusted
They literally gave Cuties a high rating
I think the problem with me (and the other people who gave it bad reviews) is that I'm too critical of films, I go into a theater subconsciously looking for plot holes and mistakes, and I almost always have a complaint about a movie, so I wouldn't take it too seriously
I was almost gonna cry when i saw king bomb-omb and king boo at the wedding scene.
No offense but people who still believe that Hollywood can utilize Japanese products lack common sense. We have seen this so many times were Hollywood tries to utilize a Japanese product and it always fails. We've seen it with Super Mario Bros (1993), Street Fighter (1994), Godzilla (1998), Dragonball Evolution, Godzilla (2014), Detective Pikachu, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Alita: Battle Angel, Godzilla vs Kong and now this move. Hollywood needs to stay far away from Japanese products because they're irresponsible with them. It's better that they learn from their mistakes and leave Japanese products alone. But knowing them, they're just going to keep milking them for the greed of money. Japan should've never trusted Hollywood to begin with.
I really enjoyed the movie, however, here's some negative aspects:
-I thought that the movie had a bit too much of slow-motion jokes (at least 4 of them!). It does not fit the Mario universe.
-The music from the games were too subtle. I wanted to hear the underwater theme or Dire Dire Dock) when Mario and DK were in the eel. I wanted to hear the DK Country theme for more than a few notes. I wanted to ear the Tanooki sound effects when Mario was flying. Even the Star theme was too subtle imo.
Well the reason why Luigi did not have enough screen time because both Mario and Luigi are new to the new worlds and also having peach getting kidnapped that Mario does not know will make literally no sense.
Actually, you know what doesn't make sense?
@@akerumiyamoto Your wife?
@@buzzytrombone4353 No but nice try, the fact that an overall giant evil creature has a crush on a human being has always been downright stupid to me.
^ nice try Bowser
@@akerumiyamoto Guess you can also classify it as bestiality lol
0:40 oh no.....😬
To me, this movie is perfect.
Mid.
@@patrickdixon7202 that’s all you, bro.
I agree. I had so much fun!
@@solidsolo9258 You had fun watching mid.
@@patrickdixon7202 ok
I agree with you. It’s not the best movie, and the story is so basic but it’s fun watch if you’re a Nintendo fan.
I was freaking out walking out of the theater, and my mom told me to be quiet while watching the movie bc I told her about the Easter eggs
Just watched the movie and actually thought it was amazing 😄
I just saw the movie in theatres and it was fantastic I loved every part of it and it was a 9.5/10, only because they show like a desert world and a Yoshi world but for like 1 second. That’s the only reason it’s not a 10
0:44 it’s actually “holding out for a hero” 🤓🤓🤓
I really liked how they added a lot of the references to the games and I almost understood all of them.
0:42 It's call Take On Me not Take Me On.
Just watched the movie and it was great
I have whatched this with my brother and my sister last night and the ending was really good better than I expected
The good thing is that I'm sure they're gonna take this movie's mistakes and see how they can fix em in the next one. The sequel can't be the same thing of someone trying to take over Mushroom Kingdom again, and you know they aren't gonna take Luigi away from the screen for too long again.
I didnt expect ludwig, King bo omb or King boo. The best part is the music.
Luigi getting kidnapped was great for me. It gave mario a reason to take down bowser other than just saving the mushroom kingdom
They Made a good choice making a Movie for a Game
But the Trailers Literally Spoiled the whole movie
Why Are You Capitalizing Every Word
I agree Luigi should have got more screen time but I’m pretty sure they made him kidnapped so they could prove to those salty Luigi fans that Mario is a good brother and so peach could be more interesting and strong btw my personal opinion in the movie is that Mario himself was perfect so was everyone else the humor was decent and the plot was really basic but good for a Mario movie especially that Mario is seen as a joke to like everyone but his mom and brother so that was good for a main character role and well I could say more but this comment is meaningless so yea
I give it a 10/10. It is now my fav movie.
I actually really loved it heck it's my fav movie now. That might be bc I'm a huge geek. In the games I don't really like Peach, but with movie Peach I'm simping HARD! Also Lumalee is the BEST! And Jack Black slayed w/ Peaches.
If this is at least a good start then it's good
Mario's dad was Talon from Oot
They made a training montage with I need a hero.
Sonic is screwed.
I thought that they should've used the goombas more
FR
No way he called “take on me” “take me on”
Yeah true you can point a lot out from the trailer 4:18
we need wario and waluigi 😭
movie was great but peach had too much screentime and girlboss moments
8/10
For me its a solid 9/10
I just can't wait to see this on Saturday
Just watched it best video game movie yet
DooM (2005)
My mom cried
I perfectly agree
When will the digital version be released?
Not until after summer I'd say
forgot this contains spoilers
I don't like what they did to peach
The real question is,is it better then despicable me?
Saw the 2 post credits seen just now(the movie was fast but amazing)
@GalactedMariobros are you seeing the new super Mario Bros which movie theater are you seeing at which Showtime are you going to
@@TheLonelyGamer_17 I already saw it like an hour ago💀
it certainly ended to soon. another 20 mins would have been perfect
I didn’t like dk as cranky kongs son
I actually think the Mario movie is great. I give the Mario Movie a 10 out of 10.
What about Girl Boss Mary Sue peach and Mario beeing an incompetent idiot ?
I loved the movie
I have same rating as you
thanks for the no spoiler warning in the beginning 😐
Sorry about that! I did mention it'd be an "in depth review" and I didn't list no spoilers anywhere, so I thought it'd be easy to tell. I'll work on that though! :) Thanks for watching!
The movie was great
"It felt like they were aiming some of these jokes at kids."
...
Bro it's a kids movie 🤣 the movie is literally aimed at kids. Sorry some of the jokes weren't mature enough for you
Not an excuse... look at Shrek, still holds up today
@@KirilPetrov65 This was a movie aimed at families with children and Nintendo fans. Some of the jokes were aimed at kids. Idk why you brought up Shrek that has nothing to do with my comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Plaidley Shrek is mainly for kids too but has adult jokes and can literally attract all ages. Apply the logic it's not that hard.
@@KirilPetrov65 I'm sorry Illumination's The Super Mario Bros Movie didn't have enough adult jokes for you. Shrek was released as a giant middle finger to Disney in a completely different point in history. If you want a more adult take on the Mario characters I would recommend you go watch the live action one.
@Plaidley no excuses was my point. It can be aimed at kids amd still entertaining for all ages. Can be adult jokes or adult themes.
The movie got so many negative reviews on rotten tomatoes. It might flop hard at box office. The writing is on the wall for Nintendo
How many amazing movies were 1 billion+ movies? Not many
@@volvoman5262 yes i was wrong about the movie but in term of gaming ps games like ff16 is killing Nintendo IP
